  1. Vermeil, Reid, Levy & Pedersen were pretty successful before their second gigs. In a way, Parcells and Carrol l were too. There was plenty of evidence that they were good coaches and shouldn't have been axed. Perhaps Reich is of that same ilk, but perhaps not. I wouldn't abhor the hire, but won't be jumping for joy either.
  2. And that's my problem with the whole idea of Reich. I can see us being in the same predicament in three years. If we hire him, I hope he proves me wrong.
  3. Moore calls way too many pass plays. Yesterday's game mirrored lots of their games. The game never got out of hand score-wise, but yet Moore forgot how to call running plays. If he would be more committed to the run, that would take pressure off of Dak and possibly settle him down, and keep him from making stupid decisions.
  4. It should make anyone think.
  5. It doesn't sound like a good idea to me...at all.
  6. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/23/panthers-hc-candidate-sean-payton-scheduled-2nd-interview-broncos/ I think it's all but a done deal.
  7. Yeah, IMO, they lost because Allen wasn't good enough, and play calling. Also, the Bengals are just a superior team.
  8. I have pondered Buffalo's run game as well (as I was stuck with Singletary also), and honestly...I think it has less to do with the actual talent of their backs, and more about the play calling, and also the way that they built their RB room. Their backs are all smallish, with good speed. But, at the same time, they have respectable averages and can catch the ball. Buffalo has effectively acquired the same back though they have mainly three RBs. Even still, you have to be able to run between the tackles, and I've seen Singletary and Hines do that credibly enough to keep defenses honest. Buffalo's run game appears underwhelming because of the play calling and their choice to rely on Allen as opposed to their backs, and there's not enough diversity in their RB room due to choices that they have made which in theory holds their ground and pound game back as well.
  9. Coaches play a huge part in the success or failure of football players. Moreover, the notion that players should play right away, particularly QBs, can have profound effect upon the suceea or failure of players as well. Time, patience and coaching means a lot in the success or failure for players.
  10. I've seen him on several occasions, and I don't believe you. ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ LOL
  11. Nobody up on Kelce in the red zone. It was kinda sneaky.
  12. Pacheco 7th round. That's a combination of luck and scouting.
  13. Well, I like Sirianni. That Steichen guy is looking pretty good too.
  14. I hope you're right. If you're wrong, I'll be too busy commiserating to think about anyone "eating crow." To be clear, we're just suggesting that you might wanna slow your role, not that you're going to be wrong or right.
  15. Wilks' Panthers did kick Campbell's Lions asses though. Just saying. And, no, I'm not a Wilks guy.
  16. Yeah, he's got to be younger than us. I've lived too much to have blind optimism.
  17. Yeah, I don't know why some people are trying to suggest he's such an awful guy. He pretty much came in with a classy move, giving the security officer business cards. Just because you don't agree with every opinion or move that someone makes doesnt necessarily make them a bad person. If everyone judged like that, we'd probably be in a constant state of civil war.
  18. And to top it off, we might have to pay a Payton premium. Me no like. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/20/panthers-saints-trade-high-price-sean-payton/
  19. I can't even remember what I was forced to read by Kafka, but it was boring to me. But whenever I see the name "Kafka," I think of Franz Kafka. Every time! Out of all the writers that I read in school, Henry David Thoreau was my favorite. Of course his mentor Ralph Waldo Emerson was a close second. I also enjoyed Richard Bach.
