Wait so the players who out produces him weren't? All I want is someone to say what the differentiating factor was between odell and those other players who performed better than him. This isn't about worthiness, it's about reasoning. Please do be so kind as to take the courageous step of what that differentiating factor was rather than turning tail and hiding from it as the others have.

He absolutely, without any rebuttal being feasible whatsoever, would not be on the cover if it wasn't for that one play. Great talent. Deserving of recognition. Is absolutely riding a media wave from that play. You'd have to be a sheep to believe otherwise.

I wonder why guys like Julio jones didn't get the cover. Or Antonio brown . Or jordy nelson. Or emmanuel sanders. Or demaryious Thomas. Or the other 3 or 4 WRs who out produced him, last year, if that is indeed the argument as the reason why he was voted for the cover. Gee I wonder what it was in the mind of these casual fans voting for this cover that swayed the vote in Odell's favor. "His aptitude for the game!" "The finer points and nuances that he passionately works to develop!" "His understanding of coverages and the time he puts in in the film room, Growl I mean duh!!!" lol sometimes this board looks like the official team facebook comments section

Wait at what point did I insinuate he amassed those yards in one catch? I encourage spending some time to develop your cognitive skills.

Lol what a dummy. If I'm Seattle I go ahead and trade him to some hole now. Hasn't been worth the 1st round pick anyways. I guess it is possible he's trying to get Seattle to offer him more money but frankly I don't see him as that clever. His play hasn't warranted a bidding war anyways. -
Lol "I can't believe I've actually gotta remind people that this guy is the GOAT. He's legendary. Didn't you see that catch?" Forgive the rest of us for not being hype train sheep.
-
I'll ignore the fact that you just put HoF and rookie player into the same sentence, and lol at how stuck you guys are on trying to defend him, Not a single person here is questioning his ability. What is being called into questions is his stardom. Guess what? The "casual" fans were the one who voted on this.

In twenty years, what's your favorite win to date?
Growl replied to bigskypanthersguy's topic in Carolina Panthers
As you said, X-Clown is the obvious choice. Week 2 @ TB, 2003 deserves a mention. -
"guys it's just because he's so gosh darn amazing that catch has nothing to do with the cover" lol
-
lol derp I actually quite like Odell Beckham, I'm just not stupid or deluded enough to believe that the burning coal pushing the hype train along comes from his performance Unless you care how it's irrelevant in the face of every other player equally/more deserving not making the cover then by all means lol Until then haterade/iknowyouarebutwhatami/otherjuvenileinsults
-
Right yes sure that's definitely where the hype train is chugging along from

It's amazing how far one play can take you.

When multiple members of your organization cheat, then the organization is cheating. Anyone who has ever played sports or been in the military or a part of literally any team based endeavor in their entire life is familiar with this concept. The organization then proceeded to make it worse by not just playing dumb, but going on the offensive and demanding apologies and trying to insult the league. They ARE being punished even more severely because they are repeat offenders. That was within the statement released from the league. It isn't just "a feeling" it's fact. So you have cheating, you have a cover-up, you have trashing the league in an attempt to build yourself up, and then there is matter that they clearly didn't learn their lesson the first time. As I said before, they are really, really fortunate that both Brady and the organization as a whole did not get worse.
-
If Brady and the organization he is employed with wasn't so (typically of them) arrogant as to try and institute a cover up and bad-mouth the league while banging the "woe is us" drum then it wouldn't have been nearly as bad. They're lucky it wasn't worse.
-
I dont see why this is so difficult for people to come to grips with. You have people even in his board squealing "oh me gee it's just a little bit of air! (As if a little bit of cheating is no biggie lol) They are repeat offenders coming off of what was widely considered a very moderate punishment the first time and have now tried to institute a cover up of this offense. I think the punishment is fair-but if it isn't that-then it isn't harsh enough. Brady's legacy is in cinders. "but but it's no biggie! It's just a little air! He's such a cool guy!"

Yeah that was probably the only part for me that I didn't like was how much I knew going in. Cap 3 info is starting to trickle out on the web and I'm staying as far away as possible this time. I don't want to know anything at all. I already feel like I know too much,

I don't agree. I'm glad those characters are getting their due. I also think having somebody like Cumberbatch is going to inject yet another swath of people into the viewerbase. Limiting their parts to just cameos and such limits the time we have to know and grow and care for them as characters, and could also even eat into time spent on the storylines in the movies on which they are cameoing in. People had the same concerns about "iron man" and "Thor" and "The Avengers" and "GOTG" when they were all released and they have all turned out to be great moves that have helped build an excellent interconnected universe.

If this team is judging players based on the merits of what Greg Hardy or Rae carruth or whomever did what, then this team isn't the moral upstanding organization it wants to people to think it is.

Team waited too long to get heavily involved.

He's 21 and she was almost 30. I've wondered if calling her "his ex" was a more media friendly way of describing what the relationship actually was.
-
Other teams have clearly made up their mind on this. We can't afford to wait some months to a year for the process to "play out."

I just realized the hashtag is supposed to rhyme

I want to be put on 'The Map' by this time next year.

Joss Whedon just did an interview the other day saying the Ant-Man script is the best piece of work Marvel has done yet. Looking forward to it.
