Why didnt he just draft one? not that they had to start but paying Moehrig then drafting Random feels redundant

You should go look up their coverage splits, Morgan also discusses it. Each has ample experience deep and in the box.

What I like about both is that they will come up and knock your head off in run support.

Let this FO do their thing; I think they've earned some grace this off-season.

That's a good question. But his stats look good, PFF grades are good and there aren't any off-field issues I'm aware of. It could be as simple as the new regime doesn't value him the same way the old one did.

Sometimes when new coaches/GMs take over teams players like this can slip between the cracks.

In any event, I feel like he's worth looking into.

You also have to consider the cap, they're paying Trevor, and others premium dollars, so honestly they may not be able to afford the 5th year option.

If you know football, that was on Coleman. Julio was Coleman`s man and Kuechly was helping. Then Coleman falls over a  pebble, leaving Kuechly alone.

Not according to Luke, go watch him describe it on Bussin w the Boys...

ATL motioned to empty, and that's when he knew the "designed" help wouldn't be there as initially set up.

    Time to log off

There is a dude who works at Lowe's and Home Depot you can sign off the street for cheap. Please stop drafting RBs. It's literally the easiest position to play. See hole and run. A RB is only as great as his Oline.

Don't draft another RB please don't do it!

So Blackshear did what exactly last week....?

    Lord have mercy

    that is abysmal

there is no excuse for these defenders to not know where they are supposed to be

sweet Jesus. What do these coaches do with these backups during the week

run a simple freaking defense and expect them to at least be able to tackle and be in the right spot

    Was a hard ass watch.

He takes the weirdest positions on roster discussions.

I'd much rather have a young franchise Center for that second round pick we used than an RB who has torn his ACL in the same knee twice already at 21 years old.

Guys who've never been hurt still get hurt. You can't predict it.

You have a positional value "preference" doesn't make another's decision wrong. Knowing we had Corbett under contract, with BC they bet on addi g weapons to an offense that SORELY lacked them.

BPA met NEED, the injury was considered a non-issue from most evaluators.

BC struggled a bit vs Giants--but he is a solid, valuable backup.  I liked him at C, and do not understand the Mays move--maybe a nagging injury?

It's bc BC can back up two spots, so if Mays or Ickey goes down he could fill both.

I hate when y’all present the opinions of reporters like the statements of the coaching staff. poo I can guess too

whatever happens, this franchise needs Bryce to win because they have so many other deficiencies across this roster.

That is great and all but based on how Bryce looks....seems unlikely to happen, the best thing is to move on early versus letting it linger.

Move on, invest into the roster as a whole Free Agency / Draft, and once the ''team'' is ready be in position to make a move for a QB.

I'd take a Fields, he at least offers elite traits to build off of, or sign a vet to bridge the gap.

I'd be interested in Milroe if he dropped to the bottom of the 1st in a trade up similar to how we got Legette. Let him sit a year and develop. While we would have still used our likely top 10 pick on a blue chip player, I'm also not against trading back in the first depending on  the options etc. We need a lot.

We seemingly couldn't figure out how to use Chinn here.

We tried keeping Luvu but he chose Washington over us.

    Not we, Evero.

Chinn showed all the promise in the world as a ''box'' defender, but since Evero tends to play a lot of 2 deep shells, Cov 2, 4, 6, and 9 (this is aside from personnel is why we struggle with the run at times because the safeties are typically both back) it limits Chinn's ability as a utility piece, and playing him as a F/T nickel was not something he could do fool time.

Chinn is a chess piece you move around each game to attack an offense, blitz, run defense, coverage, not sit off the ball 20 yards.

Dude is 6'3 220, he needed to be deployed near the LOS.

  10. So we don't like...

    Drafting Leggette

Brooks projects to be a stud, and IMO was always a pick to replace Chuba because of Sanders' contract

Getting our last 2nd round pick back via a draft day trade with LAR

Drafting an actual passing game threat at TE in Sanders

Signing Hunt, and Lewis, plus staying the course with Ickey

Helping the corner unit by flipping Barrett (who was released) for Jackson

Basically getting Dionte for FREE, then turning him into a 5th when he wasn't going to resign here anyway, and doesn't fit the timeline being 29 next season

I can understand the ire against the defensive signings, but this was always a "let's see what we have in Bryce" season so resources we're redistributed and we found out quickly Bryce isn't it.

People have got to be realistic considering cap space, and the situation the roster was left in after years of mismanagement dating back to 2020.

All things considered they've done a solid job and have 9 picks heading into the draft.

Kid was definitely the problem for the first two weeks this season, but with Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield out there doing well I'm surprised by the confidence some fans have declaring Bryce's NFL career over.

Then again, the same folks declaring his career over also blamed him for the OL not blocking last season and the WRs not getting separation so I guess it shouldn't be surprising.

The difference is Rhule was the HC, both had talent both played here under a poo HC. We saw competency from Sam once Wilks took over, so slow your roll.

This is not a pass rusher

Not too many of those available for cheap considering our cap situation. It'll be a draft / free agency priority I'm sure.

Hopefully Wonnum and Barno add to that once healthy.

In the interim seems like they're taking fliers on guys that have the size / athleticism pedigree and looking to cement this group heading into next year. Horn and Jackson, have been a nice duo so far.
