Looked, but I can't find confirmation of this anywhere.

Most recent thing I found is this...

This, I stay relatively on top of things and I've seen nothing about this nor in the press conferences yesterday (Reich) today (Brown).

Ooof.  I agree Chuba is better than in the past, but being the best one of this RB group isn't a major accomplishment.  Take out his long of 8 yards and his average for yesterday would have been 0.7 yards.  Totaling 44 rush yards on the day, 33 by our trio of RBs is AWFUL...averaging under a yard per carry yesterday.

This, people keep shitting on Miles, and he's deserved ''some'' of it, but our OL is UNDER-PERFORMING!

What did they see in this dude to warrant that fat 4 year contract?

To some degree we have to also hold the OL, and IMO some of the early play-calling as reasons for ''some'' of his struggles.

It's clear the lack in talent here on the OL (primarily injured starters) / scheme hurts Miles, considering the OL, and the Read-Option aspect to take the 11th defender out of run plays there is much less room to run in this offense.

We are worse at running ''in general'' Chuba IMO is just a better inside runner than Miles so he's still able to get pieces here and there.

I see this a lot, but reality is we didn't trade away two first round picks. We traded away next year's and swapped picks this year.

Don't steal their hyperbole, people want to riot.

It's more provocative to say WE GAVE UP TWO 1sts, when in fact by all accounts its WAY better than the 49ers deal.

They get a pass because their team as a whole is excellent, and they have a top 3 offensive mind as the HC and play-caller.

  5. I remember all of the Dj Moore can't run routes threads back when he was a rookie...

Some of y'all gotta chill, he's a 2nd round WR, this not a Jefferson or Chase selection.

And if you wanna compare him to his physical comp in Aj Brown...it still takes time, Aj was traded right before his 4th year if memory serves, and most couldn't name him prior to hhis time in Philly.

You can acquire players cheaper in season than you can in the off-season. If the right player who can be a legitimate long term piece is there for the right price then go ahead and make a trade. But they shouldn’t go fireselling their own guys.

it’s a quick hit of dopamine for the fanbase to see the endless hope of a DRAFT PICK before the player in question goes and becomes and MVP candidate before reality comes missiling back to earth the following season when mid round picks play like mid round picks

This, people value pics a bit too much, once you're outside that top 15ish, the odds go down.

If you're gonna trade, trade for LEGIT guys, and not fillers. And don't trade your best players for pics hoping to replace that All Pro talent when you could've just kept them.

We need to ADD talent not jettison it. Hit FA, and I'd consider trading back at the top of Rd 2, to add a couple more middle round picks to address depth.

If we trade anything we are dumbasses

Until you look at the teams that can actually move the ball...Hurts, Tua, even Allen were all "in question" until AJ Brown, Tyreek Hill, and Steffon Diggs were traded for.

Look at how PHI got where they are, almost all trades and trade backs (Carter) .

Standing pat, hoping something falls isn't the way, there has to be some aggressiveness. It's clear we need a WR. How we get on remains to be seen.

And no DJ Moore is not in those guys category mentioned above. However one of his talent would likely be enough so long as they continue to invest in the offense as a whole.

fug Frank.  Dumbass.  I was holding onto hope that he already had and we just didn't know it, so that way we knew his whole fuging system was just broken and we did all we could do.  But you mean to tell me this dude ran the whole fuging season into the ground being a fuging stubborn idiot and THEN you're gonna let Bronw call plays after you blew our season to.fuging poo.  fug you, Frank.

Normally, I wouldn't take this strong of a stance, BUT after hearing his press conference today, holy poo it's hard not to have a sentiment similar to this considering the limited offensive production to date...

Why hire a guy you don't ''TRUST'' or ''HAVE TO GET USED TO'' of ''HAVE TO BE READY TO GIVE UP PLAY-CALLING'' to call plays day 1....

Panthers needs to freaking STOP! Nothing is going to make this 0-4, soon to be 0-6 team, better.

This is a trade with the future in mind IMO if they do it. Since they lack picks, and may not recruit well in FA this would be a solid move.

Because say its a 3rd, you're not getting a WR equal to Jeudy there. This way you have a proven guy young enough to grow with Bryce, and he's still on a rookie deal with a 5th yr opt avail so the cost is also controlled.

Are you seriously suggesting we run the read option with Bryce?  You did see the fumble yesterday with the arm tap, correct?   When he scrambles on a protection breakdown, he doesn't look half bad, but to suggest he should run right into the teeth of the defense is mind blowing.

I agree, there could be some pre-snap motion.  It's not been absent, but nearly so.

1-3 in the redzone, short yardage, yes, the fumbles have been hits he did not see coming.

No one is suggesting it be a staple, that simply wouldn't work, HOWEVER when EDGE defenders are COMPLETELY disregarding him and it's room to run for days it would make sense.

Go back and watch the tape it's there, just the thought of him keeping on tape as DC's review film at least takes a defender out of the run as they at least have to pay attention to Bryce.

Okay, how about criminally ill-informed? Is that better?  You shouldn't be doing sports analysis, especially for the local team if you cant take a basic lay of landscape.  I can get Suzie housewife that may go to one Panthers game a year maybe being that gullible, but any self-respecting fan (real fan) knows that was and is a complete BS statement about a player away.

Are you trying to imply the two guys in the video ''believed'' the front office hype...?

The guy reporting from his home (whose name escapes me atm) has been skeptical of the offensive skill players since free agency, and Chris Lea has been a little more optimistic and I'd say steady in his thoughts since Frank came on board...

So depending on the point you're trying to make you seem ill-informed in regard to these guys' background on the Panther's situation.

They're a decent listed, you may want to go back and review.

I think most of us felt the OL was at least in a good spot, not as bad as it's been, BUT we're playing rookies / back ups on the interior with a 5'10 QB.

We could stand to move the pocket some more, and get some misdirection on offense, there were a few read type run handoffs where the DE / OLB / Edge setter is COMPLETELY ignoring Bryce keeping the ball.

This should not be a ''staple'' in our offense, but we could run a read option a few times just to cut down the backside pursuit and even the box count a bit.

We look like a 90s offense but with Pistol.

You couldn’t have named a WR on Houston or Indy before the season started. Hell, Houston has been missing Tunsil for weeks. Houston is also down a few other starters on the OL. Indy was a complete mess last year and their star RB is sitting out. Spare us the other rookies have weapons excuse.

For the love of god people Bryce isn’t Manning or Lawrence. Those guys have arms and physical attributes that Young will never have. Their mistakes came from taking shots and eventually they figured it out.

Young didn’t even bother to add size this offseason. The one thing he had full control over he didn’t do. Instead he showed up at 180. He’s now been chased down twice and fumbled twice. That crap absolutely cannot happen.

John Metchie, Tank Dell, Damien Pierce, if you didn't at least know those names for HOU you are very casual.

IND is more limited but they picked up Downs, and Pittman Jr is established. It's not so much that they have ''weapons'' it's that IND has PHI's OC as a HC and they brought the same brand of football there to support Anthony.

HOU has an offensive mind from the SF staff calling plays as a first year OC iirc.

We are the ones wasting an offensive mind from one of the better offensive coaching staffs (Brown) formerly of McVay's staff.

I think we are wasting that, we need to play with more tempo at the very least on the first drive, we have a turtle's pace offensively, we look like a team from the 90s.

  13. What games are ya'll watching...

Our offense yesterday was a screen, run, screen -- then mix that order up.

Right now I'm looking at the play calling, and lack of attempts downfield, the offense Bryce came from in college had plenty of vertical elements to it.

We are NOT even trying to throw deep; operationally Bryce has looked the part, he has saved downs where pressure got to him quickly scrambled for conversions, and has been accurate.

Personally, I wanted Richardson due to the upside ''if he puts it all together'' but I'm also not going to ignore that even with this poo show of an offense it is somehow on Bryce.

We went from a team whose strength was running the ball to literally just straight gut runs...no perimeter runs, we just look like we are still calling a pre-season offense.

If you can't see that and are blaming Bryce you're wrong, even in the SEA game it was a similar offense, we just passed it 58 times...Bryce threw 38, and 33 times in Weeks 1, and 2.

Our offensive scheme with Reich at the helm currently sucks....we bring in a McVay staff offensive mind in Brown, and the formations/plays look noting like what the Rams do.

We were in Trips and Wing Stack formations all game, no reverses, no misdirection on runs, no sweeps etc.

Just line up and snap it as we have barely have 7 secs on the play-clock when breaking the huddle.

I know it's only 3 games, so we can't know at this point, hence the "if." This is purely a thought experiment.

I'm genuinely trying to think of a worse one, and I can't do it. Two firsts (and at this point looking increasingly like 2 top-3 picks), a second, and DJ Moore. That amount of capital doesn't seem like the kind of thing you take a flyer on. That's the certainty of taking a perennial All Pro, with a 10+ year career.

If Bryce just doesn't pan out, have the Carolina Panthers earned the ignominy of making the worst trade in the history of the NFL?

    Please find a counter-argument. Please.

A pick swap means we only gave up one first since we got their first. I dunno why this is lost on so many people unless it's just an exercise in hyperbole.

Trey Lance is the most recent in regards to a bad trade up, it's simply masked due to what we lack...competent offensive play-calling...

I am not convinced Brock Purdy is ''that'' guy -- Tent Williams, Deebo, Aiyuk, CMC, Kittle are all number one options on the same team.

Add in a competent run scheme that existed BEFORE they inserted CMC with guys like Mostert, Tevin Coleman, etc.

Our issue right now is the insistence on running this basic, outdated, flat offense.

It's almost like including your only proven WR in the trade package to move up to get your QB was a bad idea.

Edge, and DL still more valuable than WR, it's easier to replace Dj than Brown, or Burns.

It sucked but they wouldn't take an additional future 1st.

OL could be balling and I tend to believe Sanders would only have slightly better numbers. That fumble against the falcons changed the game.

Two INTs from our "elite processing QB" changed the game, lack of a passing attack changed the game, going for it on 4th and failing changed the game...Jaycee Horn injury changed the game....I could go on.

Lol “highest paid” blows my mind how many people trip on sanders pay. The guy is making less than the rookies taken in the first round.

Because people just parrot broad, vague, narratives while not doing any research.

Whole rush attack looks limited due to lack of run lanes. That's not a Miles issue. That's an offensive issue.

  18. Y'all downers gotta chill, MIA was built up over 3 YEARS, Flores had Tua on the bench behint Fitzmagic, then they added Waddle Year 2 after Flores was fired, and traded for Hill in year 3, and signed Armstead etc.

We're literally heading into Week 4. This was never a season where playoffs was to be expected. This is all about getting Bryce developed for what's to come.

  19. Sam, and Pj were the QBs throwing the past two years to TMJ...and we tripping over 1 game with our perceived franchise QB.

Y'all weird, new offense, new reads, new chemistry....relax and let these young guys develop.
