  1. This is the QB I want to draft. Winning: 30 wins. Over 8 yards per attempt each season for the last 3 seasons. Thick skin: A teen coming from multiple cultures. Raised in the heart of social turmoil. Seeing both sides. Caring for community while feeling their personal pain. Setting an example for and preparing everyone around them when times are bad while moving forward to a better day. Work ethic: Has been getting up at 5AM for a decade to be a key contributor to society, perfect their business acumen, and develop their football skills and technique. Football smarts: 4:1 TD to INT ratio over the past 3 seasons. Began studying Mike Leach's Air Raid offensive system at age 8 with adult mentors. Implementing that system at age 9. Mastering that system at age 10. Innate ability: Great field vision. Quickest releases in the league. Comfortable in a pocket under pressure. Power to deliver a rope and touch to drop a dime. Can quickly presnap read a defense. Consistently throws receivers open and hits them in full stride. Reacts by reflex to take a loss and play another down. Prepared, confident, and consistent in converting 3rd/4th and long plays with the pass. Carriage: Same cool and focused QB under pressure play after play for all 4 quarters whether their team is blowing a team out, in a shootout, or getting blown out. Leadership: Allows players and coaches around them to perform beyond their highest individual level by shouldering the complexities with confidence and allowing everyone to not overthink, see the game in its simplest form, and enjoy their play on the field. Effortlessly leading their coaches, players, and community while setting a culture that attracts the best talent in the league to want to play with them and for them. This QB is in the draft.
  2. You won't be getting the mirage that was Kenny Pickett 2021. You'll be getting Kenny Pickett 2019/2020. Jordan Addison was the 2021 Pitt offense. He'll make the next QB look just as good as he did Pickett.
  3. So, these are the only QBs worth anything in this draft? I think not. Going to be another 2012 draft with the experts ridiculing teams that "reach" for Russell Wilson and Nick Foles in the the 3rd and Kirk Cousins in the 4th. Who would want championship leadership QBs with high football IQs? Give me Andrew Luck, RG3, Ryan Tannehill, Brandon Weeden and Brock Osweiler. In 2022, the teams that pick Aqeel Glass, Bailey Zappe, and Kaleb Eleby will be mocked. Give me Kenny Pickett, Malik Willis, Sam Howell, Matt Coral, Carson Strong, and Desmond Rider everyone will say. My expectation is a similar outcome from the QBs in this draft.
  4. Trading back into the mid to late teens is my hope. There the Panthers can get a leader they need for the next 10 years. Sorry, not a QB.
  5. No thank you. Sam Darnold is a better option than all of these overhyped QBs, and I don't want Sam Darnold as the starter. If the NFL was about track meets and throwing up long prayer bombs, some of these QBs would be good on the NFL level. Almost all of them are not at all cool under pressure and that is with blue chip OLs to give them time in a pocket. Let me see them behind a struggling OL they have to take hits and deliver the ball with confidence. I want a QB who knows placement, read a defense well pre-snap, and can throw their receiver open. Not seeing that from this group. There is a QB some team will land in mid to late rounds that will make this batch of QBs ahead of them all look like failed draft picks.
  6. I agree with Lombardi's method. That is why the best QB in this draft isn't being talked about. Even in this thread.
  7. Browns and Saints have interest in Darnold. Wouldn't be surprised if there are more. Not going to get back what the Panthers insanely gave up for him, but there may be a pick or 2 on the board you can leverage into a few mid round picks.
  8. In your 2 minute read you determined he is worthless? lol
  9. Trade Sam Darnold for draft capital. Keep Cam Newton with a 2 year contract. Draft a mid round QB (Aqeel Glass is who I want) to learn under Newton. Trade down from the 6th pick to accumulate draft capital. 3 possible QB outcomes: Cam Newton revives himself with a full offseason. Aqeel Glass takes over as starter. Set up with draft capital to build around a leader at QB. Become more attractive to a temporary QB with past playoff success. Keeping Sam Darnold and PJ Walker has little to no hope at success with him as the starter. Builds no draft capital. Has no mid round rookie QB that may be able to compete with the best. Will never attract a temporary QB with past playoff success. Only hope is that Sam Darnold becomes an instant playoff success or PJ Walker magically becomes the answer when Darnold is benched or injured. Keeping Darnold is a limiting choice for a bottom dweller. Rhule however is not planning on completing his 7 year plan (he never did with any institution). He will just look for a better opportunity every year and sell them on the same 7 year plan he has yet to prove in his career. So, I don't think he cares. He will stick with Darnold as any change would admit a mistake and drop his stock to move somewhere else. He can keep gaslighting with Darnold at QB.
  10. DJ drops the ball too much. Reid would never start him. Reddick and Burns would not start. They would be situational pass rushers. Moton is not a starter on most teams. Gilmore would rotate in on both teams in nickel and dime packages seeing limited playing time. CMC, Shaq OLB, and Chinn SS. That is it.
  11. Yeah. Panthers need leaders to define a championship culture. Starts with ownership and coaching.
  12. Does you know how to use does. When you does' well talk about the Cheifs?
  13. Not with the current regime. I believe a team can be turned around in 2 seasons, but the Panthers are not running that formula. 7 years to hope for mediocrity is the current culture led by ownership.
  14. neither defense would have stopped either QB. Coin toss determined it.
  15. Not convinced that was a catch by NFL rules Mahomes would have still scored though Last QB to have the ball wins. Coin toss for OT was the determining factor. I could see Josh Allen doing that too if the Bills won the toss.
  16. disappointing finish by NFL and officials
  17. incomplete. ball not secured in time
  18. Now it comes down to the first defense to stop these truly great QBs
  19. Josh Allen just won the game on X-Clown play?
  20. This may be the best game of the entire playoffs
  21. 2 plays for Mahomes coming Don't Kasay the kickoff!
