I always got the feeling Chris Gamble didn't really "love" football either. He worked out pretty well for us, albeit retiring a bit early. But man he was good. The way I see it, we started rolling the dice when we drafted Darnold and skipped over a QB in the draft. May as well keep going with it lol. This is less than a risk than the Darnold trade though for one of the top 3 most important positions on a team.

Possibly but I feel the 2003 team still. That team had a lot of heart and that defense literally willed us to a lot of wins with crazy field goal blocks etc. Prime Peppers was a monster.
