Yeah I agree. Stewart was a top 5 RB talent that fell to us. Deangelo was also a top 5 RB talent . I appreciate Chubba. He’s played his ass off. And I think his build is actually a huge reason to why he stays so healthy. But both D Will and Stew were premier RB talents on the same roster. They were clearly some of the best players in the game in their time. I can’t say the same of Chubba but he fits our identity and who we want to be .

Right but Bryce had a seasons worth of subpar play. He’s it figuring out . Where as Kyle had the advantage of being an unknown.

Kyle Allen has the reverse story though. Looked good for 3 games and then got destroyed when tape was out on him.

Cam was a god amongst men. His physical attributes were able to cheat a lot of things wrong with the roster. Bryce is a different type of player but we have a better coach and smarter FO than Cam ever had and they will design a team around the QB this time.

He doesn’t have freak arm talent. But he has freak touch and timing with his throws. He’s also a good scrambler. He’s easily displayed the best ball a QB has shown with a Panthers jersey since Cam. He’s at least as good as Delhomme was. I will stand on business on that.

His WRs were wide ass open. Bryce was making high pressure tight window throws all game with multiple 3rd and 4th down conversions. You can’t ask Hurts to do the same thing. When he couldn’t run away he was stumped and took sacks.

We’re 1 fumble, 1 WR drop, and one horseshit call away from 3-0 the last three weeks and in the driver seat for the division. This team is not healthy and is asking a lot of its rookies. We’re missing the best NT in the game. The way we’re playing right now is winning football with a healthy roster. We should be super stoked for what’s to come.

Man I’ve disagreed with your takes a lot over the years. Especially about Steve Smith when he was still here but you always had level headed takes. And I say that as a Stroud guy. He is playing well in spite of WR and RB let downs, and the refs rigging the games with horseshit calls. So what if we had some delay of games. Canales is a first year head coach who’s learning. Had you flipped a coin the last 3 weeks we would have beated KC and Tampa. I know that being a Panthers fan sucks and is basically an acceptance of emotional abuse but it is okay to be positive about this team.
