  1. Man if Greg Hardy kept his head straight we would have gone 16-0 and probably dominate a defensive battle in SB 50. He would have been the juice the defense needed to force some extra turnovers. To this day the best pass rush we ever had was Hardy and CJ in 2013/2014. Damn near every snap was relentless.
  2. Yeah I think that sums it up. Chuba doesn’t have the raw athleticism that Williams, Stew, and CMC had. But what he does have over them is consistency and he protects the ball well. I think he also has elite level vision and knows how to get the most out of his talent. Hes a slightly more dynamic Nick Goings.
  3. Good way to build the bottom of the roster if you really like the guys I guess
  4. I don’t have any negativity towards Brooks being on the roster. He was the best RB in his draft class and flashed his talent at the NFL level. Sometimes you have to gamble and take chance on a guy. Our RB room is solid. Brooks has the talent to be an elite back. He brings a different dynamic to Hubbard. Some might consider him a luxury selection. But with the way Bryce plays and the way he can move the chains, he can dramatically increase the effectiveness of a guy like Brooks. At the end of the day if it doesn’t work out , it doesn’t work out. But he at least looks like he can play and belongs. He’s a much better pick than Mingo and TMJ was.
  5. This will probably change drastically over the course of the season.
  6. Would love nothing more to see Taysom Hill get exposed once and for all.
  7. I'd love to see it. I think he got far too much poo for rookie mistakes.
  8. Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018. This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker. Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball. It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen. He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud. Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired. Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
  9. It's 2025 and people are still saying this? Cam's not playing anymore because Kelvin Benjamin is a lazy ass WR and TJ Watt targeted his shoulder.
  10. Our defense is going to look a lot better when they're playing with a lead also. The draft isn't over. We're gonna add pieces.
  11. I think that's a great point and one I wasn't thinking. I thought maybe they took McMillan because they deem the cupboard too bare. Not sure I like that for XL though. I mean if he all the sudden caught those big moment catches last year he has an entirely different narrative. He made those drops yes, but he gets open and has a lot of physical talent. I'm not ready to shut the door on the guy. But the fact is we are an injury and a retirement away from only having Coker be a threat (whom I do think will be a stud though).
  12. That's my only problem with the pick. I think Coker is going to be our future #1.
  13. Oh I'm with you. I'm saying he's better than anyone not named Moss, TO, CJ, Jones.
  14. I think he's in the top 6-10 conversation. I'd take Smith over Holt, Bruce, Wayne, Fitzgerald, Tim Brown, Boldin, Carter, Marvin Harrison, etc. Hard to say he's better than Rice, Moss, TO, Calvin Johnson, Julio Jones, peak Antonio Brown.
  15. Just my observation but I don't really see the big difference between 4.48 and 4.5. I understand that these are the best athletes in the world and there is a minutia to their evaluations. But the 40 doesn't mimic in game situations, or game speed, player motivations, etc. Now 4.3 to a 4.40 I could see that being substantial.
  16. I do think if David Gettis doesn't tear that ACL he would have been one of our major contributors for several years. Smith seemed to respect the guys that had hustle and were late rounders. Maybe part of that is because they knew they couldn't touch him. But if you had a pedigree and didn't back it up he was definitely an asshole.
  17. I'm glad we got him locked up. I love Horn not only for his talent but for his Panther pride on the field. He takes losing personally and he still wants to be here and make us a formidable squad. Hope we one day talk about him like we do Minter, TD, Luke, etc.
  18. I think the problem is they know Dowdle can play and a RB in the draft could always pull an Eric Shelton and suck ass. They know they need a decent option to spell Chuba which Dowdle can be that. Brooks did look good in his limited time. Now there is no pressure to rush his rehab. That said I wouldn’t be mad at another late round back coming to the team. But I would prefer not seeing it until Rd 5.
  19. Watched his highlights. Seems like a good player but not exactly a speedster. Seems sorta Chuba like. However this is a good deal and allows us to let Brooks recover fully.
  20. I think he's doing pretty well.
