that play was so covered that the moment Cam threw it you could see at best it was gonna be incomplete or a negative play if caught. run. the. ball. down. their. throats.

WHY SCREEN PASS ON 3RD DOWN.

true. we still seem to be vulnerable to giving up a big play. Gore was one arm tackle by Norman from busting a long TD run, and Bradshaw converting a 3rd and 10 from a draw play was ugly.

our run D has been suspect to getting gashed on occasion, which is pretty inexcusable against Gore and Bradshaw, but for the most part they have done a good job. Really hate that Harper is starting.

1. whoever called the plays in the first half (cam or shula) needs a slap upside the head. 2. that was PI on Olsen, plain and simple. unnecessary play that ruins what almost surely would have been a TD. smfh. need a different team to show up in the 2nd half and hopefully the rain to die down.

as you pointed out, we have some very good matchups with our DTs being arguably the best players on our DL against their weak interior OL. DMurray is a horrible east-west RB, and that plays even more into our hands with Luke and TD always around to tackle guys for a loss. I expect the Eagles to do a lot of blitzing, especially with LB Barwin's big game against us last year.

i love 89, but i dont think he single-handedly makes us a SB team. and if you look at the players we have gotten with mid round picks the past few years and how they have contributed to the team, idk why you would want to risk the future for the present. and Gman has already shown a willingness to use mid round picks to move up and select Funchess last year and Benwikere two years ago.

tbh, losing 89 as his go-to receiver may have actually been a factor in Cam's maturation as a player. not just as a leader in the locker room, but in his progressions. especially more now, with KB out for the year, Cam has had to spread the ball out to all of his receivers, not just zone in on one player and force it to them no matter what. last thing i would want would be a player demanding targets per game (see sammy watkins as an example) instead of letting Cam take what the defense gives him as he drives down the field.
