Those extra linemen in on a semi-regular basis are making a huge impact on the games, no pun intended. We are just clobbering the other d-line and linebackers with them.

And sooner or later, one of those big boys is going to sneak out on a pass play since they are having to report in as eligible receivers every time. Just the possibility of that puts some weird wrinkles into defending us.

that's what i was going to point out. a big part of the reason they have been so successful with the run game is that they put the added beef up front. Front 7s are just overwhelmed.

Add to the fact that modern NFL teams have really become lighter to defend the pass and it's why it has worked so well. The LBs these days are basically SS 10 years ago so those boys just eat them up. Got to give McAdoo credit. Hes playing 1998 football against teams trying to play 2022 ball.

Lol see this is an example of paying more attention to the end result and not the details.

If the Panthers retained McAdoo all because he's run the ball up the middle and ran the same play where Shenault goes in motion like 10 times a game, then this team is hopeless.

Also the Panthers have averaged 20 PPG since Wilks took over.  That is 24th in the league.  And the 2 games we scored 30+ were against the 22nd ranked defense (Falcons) and 30th ranked defense (Seahawks).  The offense is still trash.  I don't know how anyone could possibly with a straight face think otherwise.  We've only passed for more than 200 yards once since Wilks took over.

It's winning us ball games so you can't hate the system. I mean are we the Chiefs or Bills hell no but we are playing to our strengths and that's defense. Seattle wasn't a pushover team especially in Seattle and we are a team that has lost its HC, DC, star HB and are still winning. Cherry pick stats all you want but winning is all that matters and if they pull off a playoff run that's going to be hard to ignore.

And too many people are acting like it would be unprecedented for a team to move on from a HC even though they took them to the playoffs.  Titans moved on from Mike Mularkey after a playoffs run.  Why?  Because they focused on the details and not just the end result.

I absolutely think Wilks has earned a serious interview.  But he should not be handed anything.  If we interview someone that we think is a better candidate, then I hope Tepper makes that call.

The Titans just fired their GM and are just winning their division by default this year. They are not a great example my dude. I think if you hire Wilks you have to hire McAdoo because he's taken a lesser unit and made them win. I agree he shouldn't win by default because better coaches could make this current team a playoff team on a consistent basis. Still it would be a moral blow to the players to can a coaching staff they played so hard for.

Where did you hear that CMC requested the trade??

They show an interview today w/ Greg Olsen on FOX and he said he was kinda shocked and thought he would be a Carolina Panther his entire career.

It was reported after Rhule got fired he wanted to move on. That's why they traded him. He was probably shocked someone gave up the compensation the Panthers wanted.

If Wilks wins the division, he should without a doubt get a couple years to prove his worth.  Any new coach is an unknown.  Let Wilks fill out his staff in the off-season (to include a new OC).  Use the draft capital to keep adding pieces and see what happens

And so should McAdoo because he turned a rag tag offense into a playoff one in one year.

The winner of this trash division is probably gonna cost themselves 10 spots of draft position. Just to get their asses kicked at home in the wildcard round.

We just cost ourselves 4 today. To be honest picking 10th and 20th isn't really much different. So playoffs is really the only success we can reach now.

Im fine. My emotional investment in this team has been on E for awhile now. I'm in fan hibernation waiting for some sign that a new spring has arrived.

I mean we might as well win the division. That would be just typical for this year.

It wouldn't matter if CMC was still here. He's doing what he's doing in SF because he has an offensive HC and an OC who are creative and try to maximize his skill set. The damage was done to this team in the offseason keeping limp d*ck Matt Rhule and hiring an inept offensive coordinator.

CMC was just done with this team. It could have been a lot worse. We got a good trade.

They do have a QB. At this point, I really do wonder how long it will take us. Hopefully not like the Jets and Browns. Both of them are still looking and it’s been years and years.

If Wilks stays it's going to be a damn mess. We need a HC with some serious scouting skills.

The Panthers will likely win the NFC South. That will make the CMC trade look even worse come playoff time. The 49ers will be a force and the Panthers won't have the offensive playmaker needed for playoff success. The Panthers will have the OL and a better disciplined defense going in to the playoffs, but the front office did a lot of damage to the Panthers in the offseason and waiting too long to make changes during the season. That CMC trade to strengthen the 49ers with a Panthers playoff run should get the front office fired.

CMC requested that trade my friend. The 49ers gave us a really good haul so win/win. If the FO really wanted to tank they could have traded Burns and Moore. They didn't.

I think I’ll survive. Heck, I was 100% right about tanking after 2019 so I am still waiting for win 6. Man, would have been fun to see Trevor on this team.

This is what we always do. Then we screw it up and get a shitty draft pick year over year. Kinda like the cowboys.

  12. Oh Jesus, you guys act like we have won the division. All this game has done is erase good draft position and put us in a all or nothing situation. The fall out if we fail will be hilarious.

I don't think he's a defensive end. hes a 3-4 edge. Beyond that hes an elite athlete and can play in space and coverage. we have seen him take picks to the house and so on. Other than being suspect in the run game i have 0 complaints about him. and hes super young. Core guy potentially a HOF talent.

The problem with that is we run a 4-3 and he's asked to be a DE. Even Jacks in the 3-4 have to be good at the run. Either way he's a elite pass rusher and that's where he's going to get paid.
