lol did he really get a perma
yeah i originally banned him until Friday just so he'd miss the draft but we'd still get a little taste of his delightful reaction to it. but once all the mods saw what he was saying we agree a perma was definitely in order. he'd been warned many many times over the past couple weeks and it was only getting worse every day.

If there is any QB sneaking done this year. It will be done by Dalton. Ain't no way in Hades Frank lets Bryce try any QB sneaks. lol
But you know who can do a QB sneak? CJ.
If the coach told CJ to do a QB sneak, he'd probably start walking real quietly trying to sneak so the defense doesn't see him

So what you're saying is; It's going to take some time to transition to a shorter line for Bryce to see over?
You know, I can think of another way around this dilemma. Draft CJ. He doesn't have any trouble seeing over the Oline. lol
Having a vertically challenged QB does present its own set of unique, to him anyway, challenges.
It would probably take longer to transition to a 1-read college style offense that CJ would wrap his head around, and i think NFL defensive coordinators would probably figure out what we're doing faster

Maybe we can transition towards a shorter Oline. One the Young can see over. After all, low man wins.
His Alabama o-line has the same exact average height as his new Panthers o-line will. All in the range of 6'4'' to 6'6''

Even after I decided I'd be okay with Young, I still wasn't totally sold on him, mainly because all the highlights I'd seen were of him scrambling and that didn't really impress me because a lot of that would have been sacks in the NFL.
It wasn't until I started watching long form videos like that QB School guy who actually breaks down his regular non-scrambling throws that I started actually getting excited for Bryce. He's going to be a fantastic player.

Does Bryce also come with a magic rabbit foot to pull miracle passes out of his ass like Wilson does
Bryce can just make the passes normally instead of having to rely on his WRs for miracle plays

This has to be one of the most well executed smokescreens of all time. They convinced everyone, even the Texans, that they wanted Stroud, which made the Texans comfortable staying put. Then they take Young. Beautiful.

I've seen Mingo mocked at the end of round 1 a couple times, no way he'll be there in round 4.

The model's comparisons from last year:
Sam Howell: Drew Brees
Matt Corral: Jake Plummer
Malik Willis: Jalen Hurts

Ironically, those Golden Gophers you are mocking had the #4 defense in the country on average points allowed. Hell, three of the top four defenses were in the Big Ten including the top two.
I just picked the funniest sounding name in their conference

because Stroud never scans the field and just throws the ball to his first read, because they're open all the time due to playing against the Golden Gophers.

If you think this is bad, you should see him in the tinderbox.
can you explain why Bryce Young's earlobes don't attach anymore and do you realize how serious the implications are

Bryce is going to feel so confident throwing balls to Thielen instead of Traeshon Holden or whoever the fug. having a veteran like him actually getting open will be outstanding for his development.

He's an incredible thrower of the football, which is why i supported drafting him for 90% of the process. One of the most well thrown and pretty footballs I've ever seen. I just couldn't help but start noticing once all of "he's a dummy" stuff started that most of the throws i was impressed by were to the guy he was staring down from the snap, and he never had to actually scan the field on these.
Anyway how does this infographic compare with Young?

There isn't a throw he can't make..deadly accurate.
Going by that highlight video, the "throw he can't make" would be to his 3rd read. stares down his 1st read receiver from the snap on almost every one of these throws.

i maintain that i think we should sign Cam just for QB sneaks and gadget plays. lining Bryce Young up for a QB sneak to push the pile is some funny stuff.

I find it hard to believe but C.J. Stroud and his people should address this issue regardless.
there's little they can do, because it wouldn't exactly help if they say "No actually my client got a 50."

vs. Texas
If I had to pick one game for somebody to watch and see what kind of player that they're getting with Bryce Young, it's this game. Texas brought pressure and knocked him down early and often. At one point the Bama offense had three consecutive three-and-outs! Bryce stayed calm though and made a variety of plays that directly led to his team getting the dub (one of which is queued up below). This is one of his top 3 games from the 2022 season and I'm willing to say that I don't believe that it's his best either. I've got two games where he wowed me on the tape even more than this game. The game itself is also just an absolute blast to experience again.
as someone who accepts Young 100% as the pick, all watching this game just now did was make me question it lol. he absolutely sucks for 90% of this.
Granted Thielen will catch most of these dropped passes, the rest of it is just throws to the flat and panic throws to the turf. also a couple easy pick-6s for an NFL defense.
