In what sense? I am genuinely curious why you and others it seems think this.
Still feels like we have a ways to go with this team and outside of Moton we dont have guys aging out just yet. To me it feels like we are still 4-6 above average players away
I mean I named 3 positions we need, you think 4-6, those opinions are not far off. Basically we need to bolster multiple positions on the defense and come up with a good LT solution.

Allen is way better than Cam. But yes, Cam could've benefitted from better WRs. Any QB can. Sure, he had Diggs but Cam had Smitty. They need more than that. Allen didn't have squat this season.
Laughable.
Smitty was gone when Cam made the Super Bowl. Cam dragged a lesser team to the Super Bowl while Josh dragged a better team single handedly out of the playoffs.

I do think we're entering a win window, but I don't think we're just missing 1 piece. If we can get Hendrickson we still desperately need a top tier ILB and Safety to actually win.

There have been a handful of times that our team was already playing from behind by the time Bryce saw the field, and ahead the last time he was on the field (like wildcard round). I truly do think if you put this Texans defense on the Panthers we're in the NFC Championship pretty easy. It won't make Bryce a good QB but he could easily be the Trent Dilfer and not throw 4 picks like this.

Josh Allen you are not Cam Newton, there was no point in running that, best case scenario is you run down the timer for no reason. So far out of field goal range.

Cooley is actually getting looks from other teams for DC, including the Cowboys. If he's still here by then it'll be him. If he's already gone, call up Wade Philips from whatever college or high school he's at.

There was a large handful of very talented coverage safties in free agency last year, and we had the cap space for them. We just actively decided to ride with Nick Scott.

No news is bad news, I feel like he'd be hired by now if he was gonna be

Yeah, notice how his feet are set and he is able to drive the ball downfield.
That rarely happens here.
Also, you are almost never going to see NFL WR's that open.
Worth noting that his Bama o-line were NFL height and he had no issues seeing over/around them.

Hell yeah. That's what I wanted. Out of the NFCS, and bad for the Cowboys.

I can't imagine him not going to the Falcons.

We need a defensive QB at ILB. That was desperately missing this year, somebody like Luke to make adjustments and make sure everybody is on their assignment.
-
Bryce Young could win the Super Bowl on this Texans team and I'm not joking, you just have to do literally nothing and let that defense gobble knobs

The guy took one of the worst defenses in NFL history and made it one who can compete against any team in the NFL. He has two interviews lined up for head coaching positions.
Does anyone want to see what he does when we have actual linebackers or can actually pressure the QB?
No. A lot of fans are praying he's gone.
WTF.
This is definitely revisionism or misremembering. The year before Evero was hired, the Panthers had a middle of the pack defense. Then after 2 years under him they fell to the single worst defense of all time, statistically.
This year they climbed back up to middle of the pack, where we were before Evero arrived.
As far as seeing what he can do if he had XYZ players, please recall that drafting guys like DJ Johnson was his call. He pushed for these shitters and was seen fist pumping in the draft room when we gave away picks to trade up for that dude.
He's getting HC requests based mostly on his lingering reputation from the Broncos (who now have a much better defense without him btw)

Herbert would be a great move to bring in to challenge Andy Dalton to carry Bryce's penis meat around (it hurts his little back)

Panthers have zero pass rush and the identity needs to change. The team needs to go all in on pass rush and change the identity of the defense.
Trade:
Panthers Receive: Maxx Crosby
Raiders Receive: 2026 1st, 2027 1st, 2026 3rd,
Then in free agency, pair him with one of the veteran pass rushers like Khalil Mack, Joey Bosa or Hassan Reddick. Releasing Patrick Jones frees up 10.1 million.
2nd round draft: LB Anthony Hill, Jr. Alabama, Taurean York, Texas A&M, or Lander Barton, Utah
3rd Round: QB Drew Allar, Penn State. Love his size and arm. Could develop under Bryce while Bryce plays out his option.
We traded Brian Burns for a 2nd round pick. Burns had 6.5 more sacks than Crosby this year.

Jaguars. They're our expansion bros and would be cool to see them win it

We had the hardest SOS in the NFCS this year at least in the second half of the season, and won it, so it'll be fine. If you want to be good you have to beat good teams.

If you can only thrive if you get 35 carries per game then yeah that's just not how our system is designed and best to move on. Thanks for those 2 legendary games though.

Could Morgan be eyeing Trey Hendrickson
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
Yeah Bryce isn't a guy you look at as someone who is going to lead you to the SB, but I think he could be the Trent Dilfer for a top defense. All we'd need is 2 TDs to TMac and Coker in each post-season game and let a top defense do the rest.
We have a long way to go but Hendrickson, Kyle Dugger, and a 1st round ILB would look pretty good,
