  1. One thing I hope the whole BY and CJ thing leads to is the return of drafting QBs and letting them sit and learn a couple years as back-ups. Cam and that era of super rookie changed the game and we can't expect everybody coming in to be NFL ready. I think keeping Darnold and drafting BY or CJ to sit behind him til 2026 would have had monumentally better results.

Front offices fold to media pressure and QB controversies now. Nobody is will to do what the Packers did with Rogers and just say fug you were starting Favre until he's ready to commit full time to welfare fraud.

yes and build depth outside of that, so I dont think our window has started yet and then of course there is the bryce situation.

Yeah Bryce isn't  a guy you look at as someone who is going to lead you to the SB, but I think he could be the Trent Dilfer for a top defense. All we'd need is 2 TDs to TMac and Coker in each post-season game and let a top defense do the rest.

We have a long way to go but Hendrickson, Kyle Dugger, and a 1st round ILB would look pretty good,

In what sense?  I am genuinely curious why you and others it seems think this.

Still feels like we have a ways to go with this team and outside of Moton we dont have guys aging out just yet.  To me it feels like we are still 4-6 above average players away

I mean I named 3 positions we need, you think 4-6, those opinions are not far off. Basically we need to bolster multiple positions on the defense and come up with a good LT solution.

Allen is way better than Cam. But yes, Cam could've benefitted from better WRs. Any QB can. Sure, he had Diggs but Cam had Smitty. They need more than that. Allen didn't have squat this season.

    Laughable.

Smitty was gone when Cam made the Super Bowl. Cam dragged a lesser team to the Super Bowl while Josh dragged a better team single handedly out of the playoffs.

  5. There have been a handful of times that our team was already playing from behind by the time Bryce saw the field, and ahead the last time he was on the field (like wildcard round). I truly do think if you put this Texans defense on the Panthers we're in the NFC Championship pretty easy. It won't make Bryce a good QB but he could easily be the Trent Dilfer and not throw 4 picks like this.

Yeah, notice how his feet are set and he is able to drive the ball downfield.

    That rarely happens here.

Also, you are almost never going to see NFL WR's that open.

Worth noting that his Bama o-line were NFL height and he had no issues seeing over/around them.
