So you can explain how he was top 10....but won't.  We need to look it up ourselves?

I googled it.  Can't find the argument based on stats and facts.

Statistically he was top 10 in a lot of impressive areas after his benching. He was top 10 in passer rating, he was #1 in touchdown to turnover ratio, #6 in PFF passer grade, #1 in high difficulty throws completed, #1 in tight window throw completion rate. The only place he really lacked is the place most people look at QB stats, the yards. But he was near the top in the league in so many categories for that stretch that I am comfortable saying he was a top 10 QB for the latter half of 2024.

Also another stat I was surprised given his height, he was #1 (as in least) in batted down passes.

Reich tried to bench him and was over ridden.  He came out of training camp knowing he was in a world of hurt.  His mechanics and footwork put him behind the 8 ball from the jump.  Even in the video posted he is still doing his jump throw.  Thats not going to consistently work in the nfl, hes got to clean that up.  We all are pulling for him but going into year 3 the excuses are in the rear view mirror.   With everything they have invested in bryce its time to win.

The jump pass doesn't bother me. Cam had an MVP season with people complaining about his footwork and back foot throws. The biggest thing to me that got Bryce over the hump was confidence. He went from never throwing beyond 5-10 yards to leading the league in big time throws after his benching. Once the confidence is there and Bryce is being the Bryce from Alabama, everything else is gravy.

Making sure he carries the confidence into next season is paramount. If he shows up scared we are fuged. We need to be giving him constant bjs all offseason to make sure he keeps a pep in his step.

IMO its in Bryce's hands. Carolina has a top 15 pick in 2026 draft, then they choose QB, if not Bryce played well enough to keep them out of drafting high in the 1st again.

tbf Bryce was putting up enough points to have us 8-9 last year without a historically bad defense.

    Ulcerative Colitis is not CTE.

He started 2022 off well, got a concussion that kept him out for a month, and when he returned he sucked for the next year+. Maybe he got a butt ulcer during that time too but it seems pretty clear what actually happened.

  5. If you're interested in developing our young guys like like 30 year old Jewell then you don't sign Shaq. If you're interested in putting the best team on the field, then you sign Shaq.

Rozeboom is shockingly bad and not much of an upgrade over Wooten or Cherelus.

People are forgetting how good Renfrow was with the raiders.  If healthy he's our second best receiver right now.

He was absolutely fantastic... in 2021. Then in 2022 he got his brain scrambled on a slant route and sucked the rest of his career until he was cut.

It's definitely worth bringing him in to see if a miracle happened and the year off cures CTE, that would be great if it happens, but I don't expect much.
