The whole thing reminds me of when Mike Vick would fake a slide and then continue for more yards. It's all designed to take advantage of the rules limiting how defenders can interact with QBs. It's weasel tactics but it's legal.

No he wasn't, no part of his body had touched the ground besides his feet. Bryce doesn't actually know how to slide and it causes him to get extra hits.

Canales is learning. When he first tried a RB rotation, he gave them every other series no matter what was happening. Today he mostly went with the hot hand instead of stubbornly forcing Dowdle into the game despite Chubba doing better. Should be blatantly obvious, but it took him until week 13 to figure it out.

A lot of Stafford being so off today probably has to do with not being used to going against QBs with as much aura
