  2. The Almost Nearly Perfect People & Super Sushi Ramen Express. Both Michael Booth. The first is a bit more political. Second is an excellent culinary tour of Japan.
  3. Ya... Dougie is worth about 3.5 right now. Not 7/7.5/8. He may need a change of scenery after this season. Slavin should get half his paycheck.
  4. "Game 4 (1) Carolina Hurricanes at (4) Nashville Predators Carolina leads series 2-1 Sunday, May 23, 2:30 p.m. Watch: Bally Sports South, Bally Sports app, NBCSN Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app Numbers to Know 100: Jordan Staal will skate in his 100th career postseason contest in Game 4. Not much else to say adversity is a good thing.
  5. The issue comes with them toning down their hits from 50 a game to 35 and still getting the same amount of calls. Honestly they should dial it up and go to 60+ and play their game.
  6. But ya I pretty much agree this was the league hitting back for our comments.
  7. I will say it looks pretty close to a slew foot Staal threw from one angle. He was also attempting to change directions when the guy tries to open ice check him so he basically just rag dolled the guy, I don’t think if his foot got as high it would have been anything special and I don’t think it was fine worthy to begin with. But ya probably a penalty. I don’t like how they aren’t posting videos to most of these fines explaining them either now. Cause there’s really only one angle circulating but I remember watching it in real-time and replay it didn’t look nearly as bad as the one angle.
  8. They were always going Lance. That was clear from day one.
  9. On the bright side Lajoie looked fine. I still think if Slavin is a go we bench Bean for him for a game or two. But in that scenario I expect it to be Skjei. I don’t know who we’d put in to replace Pesce though. We don’t have another righty I don’t think.
  10. Holy poo Aho is worn out. He’s basically still asleep in the interview.
  11. And of course Staal is fines for that hit...
  12. For sure. I’ll say it again. Half+ of the penalties on us are legit. Completely legit. The issue is the fact they aren’t calling the game square. If they are gonna call something on us, you gotta call it on them too. Last night was a case study on how to be a shitty ref. The crew was beyond stupid and tried to over compensate, undercompensate. Not call at the wrong time call at the wrong time. Just the fact they let 4 icings from them go in OT1 and at least two in OT2. The whistle on Ned when he didn’t even move to cover. It was sloppy shitty refereeing. They should have called the first delay of game a non penalty like it was. Their reputations wouldn’t have been tarnished the entire game from that point on. I’ll even give them the offsides goal cause rod didn’t challenge. I don’t know when they grade the crews, if it’s between rounds or what but these guys aren’t moving on and if they do... oh man.
  13. Dunno if you got to see his interview but he said he didn’t tell his guys about his issues with the refs. But I think they are feeling it. Both teams are tired. The question is will the preds go Pekka. Rod basically nixed Slavin already but with Lajoie’s play last night I actually think that’s the least of our worries. I have no doubt we play Mrazek and honestly I think he’s gonna be on point. If we can win Sunday and close this out in 5 that would be a huge win.
  14. Should also clarify he let his coach speak slip a bit. Sounds like no Slavin Sunday. But he made it sounds like it might be a while on him. im really wondering if he has a hernia or something long term that may require surgery. He was jacked on painkillers last game. Honestly if Slavin came back and we didn’t rest Pesce or Skjei I’d sit bean for Lajoie. Ya he got beat in OT2 but that was the only time.
  15. We are still a perfect 15/15 on the penalty kill. I don’t count the 5v3. Thats fugging insane. I expect a big game from the first line Sunday.
