Inconsistent? Yeah, that's my biggest problem with him. I would say though let the "highs" have gotten "higher" (especially lately) More importantly though... We're winning, and against very good opponents rather than bottom feeders. That can't be argued, and it's a big deal.
-
I think he quoted the wrong person. You weren't talking about Trevor Lawrence in that post.
-
I don't think he's being forced.
-
Heh Side Note: Why the hell is it called "Preparation H" anyway? It's supposed to be a medication, not what you use to get something ready. And given where it's used, I'd really like for the manufacturers to explain to me precisely what they want to "prepare" that part of me for?

H

The "room"? Yeah, I expect them to hunt for a better backup. I also expect whoever they sign will be told they are not competing for a starting job.
-
Kyler Murrays preferred method of offseason preparation...
-
Consistent is the operative word here. He's shown he can be good. He's shown he can even be very good. But as far as consistency, that's where I'd ask the congregation to turn in their Bibles to Revaluation 3:15
-
Ditto... Wouldn't mind adding Sam Howell (his skill set fits wwll with Canales scheme) but I doubt he'd be considered competition for the starting role.
-
I don't think they're" just saying"... Like it or not, it's all real
-
You referenced us following a "Cardinals type plan"
-
My response to pretty much everybody who's talking about "competition" It ain't happenin' next year It could happen the following season, but only if Bryce has a bad fourth year. So if you're pinning any hope whatsoever on any potential QB competition for the 2026 season? Well, sorry but...
-
Neither do I... Also not a big Trevor Lawrence fan either. The "bigger and stronger" thing is probably the main appeal there.
-
Graziano does say he "talked to a bunch of Panthers people" and his takeaway was that "they still believe in him". My read on the extension talk though is that it's mostly hypothetical.
-
PS: Xavier Legette is bad, and I don't need stats to know that either
-
I haven't looked at Bryce's comparative stats because I don't care. Remember, early season we went with a very run heavy aproach. Passing stats were bound to be minimized in those game plans. If you do wanna focus on individual production though, you can't just look at the bad games. You have to account for the phenomenal near 400 yard game he had just a few weeks ago. He's shown what he can do. That's undeniable. But again, it all comes back to the consistency question.
-
I don't necessarily buy that. Hell, I'd be calling for their firing if I did. As hard as it might be to believe though, I do think our braintrust genuinely sees a possible future where we genuinely keep winning with Bryce. That's not my vision, but it legitimately could be theirs.
-
I'm guessing you understand that's not gonna happen, right?
-
Bryce is gonna start playing Call of Duty?
-
Same... "Competition" could potentially become an option the following season if he has a down year four. Next year? Kinda doubt it. Better backup? Si Competition? Nein
-
By wins, and by what I see on the field... And come on, dude. You know I don't go by stats. If you're posting them for the sake of others, fine. But you've debated me enough times to know that's not gonna sway me
-
Fair, though Mahomes is also having something of a "back to earth" season this year.

I used to work at a job where I occasionally had a desk admin role that included taking messages from employee friends and family. This one girl had a boyfriend who would call in every day and ask me to "tell Pook I love her" insisting specific that I call her by that name. My response? I walked over to her desk, then announced loudly and with a straight face in front of her and her nearby coworkers that "loverboy snooky woogums called to tell Pook he wuvs her" After which I'd turn and walk back to my desk maintaining as professional a demeanor as I could

Fowler and Graziano both believe he'll get the fifth year option. Graziano thinks that it's at least possible (and maybe practical) that they go ahead and offer him an extension of some sort. A short-term, mid-range extension would be the best idea in his eyes, but he isn't positive Young will want to agree to that.
