Update: It was Sirianni... Makes sense. Sirianni was Reich's OC before he got the Eagles job.
-
That was the Titans OC Todd Downing.

Sean is The father of Panthers assistant OL coach Robert Kugler. I've looked around but haven't found any word on what the "incident" involved.

Maybe Teddy Bridgewater wasn’t that bad….

Bridgewater wasn't anything special. What he was though was right about Matt Rhule. Most of us didn't believe him because we thought what he was saying sounded ridiculous, and it was. Unfortunately, it was also the truth. -
I couldn't tell you who the guy was, but Reich probably still has some friends in Philadelphia.

And so far, I don't like anyone. Said elsewhere that I could probably give you more reasons not to draft somebody than I could reasons to take them. And frankly, this is like the third season in a row that I've felt that way. There's just nobody that really blows me away or says to me "we gotta get this guy". I suffer from a condition called draftsbustaphobia -
And away we go...

I honestly don't know yet. I'm probably gonna pay more attention to the offseason process this year because I feel like I don't know as much as I want to. -

At the moment, nobody Not hugely against anyone, mind you. Just not particularly sold on anyone either. -

Well to be clear, I'm not necessarily writing him off. I just wouldn't trade for him...or anyone else. I'm in agreement that it's time to draft our own. -

I don't really think LG was propping up Garoppolo so much as he was just saying no to Trey Lance. -

Yeah, that'd be a no for me too. Guy not taking responsibility for his own performance and being an a--hole to his teammates is a non-starter. -
For whatever you think of Baker, at least he didn't do this...

Or felt like it was "sh-t or get off the pot" time with him. There have been people suggesting John Lynch should be fired over that trade. I don't think I'd go that far because overall the 49ers are still good, but that particular transaction looks like a disaster right now. Mind you, the general consensus is that Adam Peters is the one who does all the actual personnel work anyway so if Lynch were to be fired it might be a largely symbolic move. -

There are a couple of very good young options for that. I'm actually starting to think more about Frank Reich though. -

There was plenty of chatter prior to the season that the 49ers were starting to doubt him. And the games he started didn't do a whole lot to alleviate those doubts. -

No, it's not. It's an extremely complicated process that even experienced and professional people frequently get wrong. And to be clear, I'm not saying you shouldn't evaluate athletic ability. Just don't prioritize it over skills that are way more important for being a quarterback. As to Jones, I wasn't a big fan of his but he did look decent under McDaniels. Now he's under Matt Patricia, so I'm not sure what to think there. -

I get the impression that Shanahan and company have already evaluated him, and didn't exactly come up with a glowing recommendation. If somebody else wants to give him more time, cool. Wouldn't want it to be us though.
