Remember when he was traded the article had Elf's picture instead? I can only assume his headband was the confusion because outside of that they look nothing alike.
Oh, I got it. I expect there are some who didn't though

whatcu think about adding FB, i think they may.......
ricci was not one...
I'd love for us to have a true sledgehammer type guy like Howard Griffith (who for the record was underrated as a ball carrier) but I know it's pretty rare these days.

Foreman's market value is running in the 3-4 million range depending on who you believe. I would 100% take him back on 2 years, 2.5 per plus 2.5 to sign.
The Elflein release would cover that.

Makes sense after we kept Boze but the hate he got here was ridiculous, he was a rock solid C for us. Bad at guard but good at C. Couldn't keep him as a backup at that cap hit but he wasn't bad for us at his natural position. Wish him the best for an AFC team that we don't play.
I agree the hate was overblown.
I also agree with his release.

IMO, we moved to 1 to get a singular player, we MAY be tempted to move back one spot, but I don't think that will happen.
Everyone in the building minus, Mr. and Mrs. Tepper, will likely be gone in 3 years if this doesn't work out. In that instance, you have to take the "most likely to make it" QB...that also checks boxes that make him a very high 1st rounder.
Stroud is the only player that looks like he checks all the boxes. His interview with the offensive leaders of this team, if it were to go well, will likely wrap all this up.
Any of the other 3 bring some serious questions with them.
That's a common thought, but I actually believe the story about them having conviction on more than one guy is true. And when you think about it, that does fit in with Reich's way of operating ("diversity of thought" and such).
They moved up to get whomever they ultimately decide on, but that decision isn't made yet. And honestly, prior to the pro days, visits, interviews and all that, it probably shouldn't be.
Making sure they check every last detail before coming to a final conclusion is smart.

Quiet today. I was expecting a couple of signings at least
Can't speak for you, but every time I make a statement like that something crazy happens

Williams can be gotten for relatively cheap and short term. Honestly I think Foreman gets a bigger contract from him this FA.
Guessing you're talking about Jamaal. I think he was talking about DeAngelo.

meh Waller is 31... and coming off of an injury riddled year... Olsen was 25 when he was traded to us. This is a big difference.
Even so, we're not talking about a team with a habit of making good decisions.
(or even competent ones)

Darnold is at best a #2. Signing him tells me they're long term banking on Purdy getting healthy as their answer. Otherwise maybe they try to go for a better backup.
Lance may not even be a #2, at least right now. He has looked the worst of the starting QBs on the niners.
The 49ers are good enough a #2 can look very good.
Dumping him this soon after what they gave up to get him would be a huge moment of "Yikes"

I've seen speculation that Sanders could be a good fit for our offense

Props to Wilks for lighting the initial match, firing half the staff and getting rid of Anderson.
Last year does feel kind of surreal, doesn't it?

I think I'd rather ask our resident posters just to not be a--holes.
(it's genuinely possible, loads of people do it every day)
That, or out mods could be aggressive with the ban hammer when someone's being a dick to such guys.

I need 5 year break from overpaying RBs
Given the salary ranges that we're seeing from elsewhere, that doesn't really seem like a big danger right now
