I do have visions of Anthony Richardson and D'Onta Foreman running an option from the 5 yard line. If we could somehow get DJ Chark and Darnell Washington (UGA), we'd have the best size for a spread power running game in the NFL.

    But I'd rather have Stroud.

I also think you can take the Kansas State running back late on Day 3. Forgot his name. Keaton Mitchell out of ECU would also be a decent option. Both are Sproles like but quite a bit taller. Sort of remind me of Austin Ekeler.

Regardless of who our quarterback is, I don't really care to see them running a lot of option.

I know this is an offseason tradition but why are we the only team in the league that doesn’t have actual insiders telling us things that are happening inside the building

other fanbases are treated to which players have received an offer sheet, which players they narrowly missed out on, which players are being considered

instead we have our “insiders” “leaking” things as they appear on the team website and then saying “this is something that was communicated to me a while ago.”

can we get an actual insider please and not an unofficial mouthpiece for the team

We have a contingent of internet a--holes that tend to run those types off, so...

I highly doubt you ever see that scenario other than injury. If they felt that way, Lance would be on the trade block or cut block.

It's fun for some people to think that Darnold is anything other than a #2 or #3 QB in the NFL, but he has never shown he is anything but that.

The only thing I could comfortably say I know Darnold to be is a nice guy.

I am curious to see how he functions in Shanahan's offense though, partially because I don't think Brock Purdy is some diamond in the rough that everybody missed on. He just played well within the system.

Maybe Darnold can do that too.

You do realize we just got rid of a coach that most Huddler's were smarter than, correct?

Took actual games to figure that out though 😄

And honestly, I wouldn't even necessarily try to say that I know football better than Matt Rhule (though it's tempting).

As I've said many times before, it's not anybody's job to be smarter than me. Their job is to be smarter than their counterparts on the other teams.

    Clearly, Rhule was not.

You blindly following the coaching staff is really pathetic.

Actually, I'd call throwing a fan tantrum When not even a single game has been played or a single play has been run kinda pathetic.

There's nothing noble or special about declaring that you're no longer a fan of a team because of some football decision they made. It's actually kind of silly, and frankly nobody gives a rat's ass. It's just sports.

For me? Hell, I sat through three years of Matt Rhule, fifteen years of Marty Hurney and twenty-five years of Jerry Richardson. Damned if I'm gonna bail on the new guys before they ever even hit the field 🙄

Trading up to the #1 pick and getting the fans all excited thinking we're getting Stroud or Young only to trade down and get Levis? Good luck selling that to the fan base

Who gives a sh-t about fan excitement over an offseason move?

If you want fan excitement, win games.

Blindly following a staff that has yet to prove themselves as QB whisperers is also kinda dumb. They have done nothing right now to prove they are what you and some people think they are. If they draft Levis or AR people have every right to be pissed off. But if in the end they actually make Levis or AR into a franchise QB then I will gladly admit I am wrong.

People need to stop giving so much trust to a coaching staff that hasn't earned it.

You actually think thie group of guys "have yet to prove themselves"?

Outside of McCown, That's kind of a strange statement.

I'd ask this though: What's the difference between "blindly following them" and bailing on them before a single game has been played?

Anyone who watches the tape and thinks Levis is better than Stroud or Young has no business being in the NFL

So if that's who they pick, you're going to tell me that you're smarter than they are?

Do you have any head coaching interviews lined up anytime soon?

  9. 1 minute ago, Pantherzilla91 said:

Because none of us want to get stuck with Levis.

Living in Indiana the thought of us trading with Indy and allowing them to get Stroud or Young while we get stuck with Levis is nauseating.

IDGAF about draft capital...I want my star QB.

This team has done everything right this offseason but they should've kept their mouth shut about trading down. Now we look silly.

But if a group of professionals think that he is a star quarterback, who do we trust more?

I think he got ticked off about how they were using him and the coaches told him to skip practice.  He subsequently asked for a trade if I recall correctly.  Though nothing was completely prior to the deadline.  Funny thing was the Packers were a rumored package to boost Rodgers corps lol.

*edit: There was something weird about it---and here it is--it was strange bc it was after their good start:

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34846365/jets-elijah-moore-play-vs-broncos-trade-demand

Yeah...I'd definitely want more info on that before I'd be willing to trade for him.

You don't want a head case.

They better view G Wilson as the key franchise piece for their own good.

Moore though..he has so much road ahead in his career.  He would be a very interesting get for a team.

    Davis, not as much.

Remind me. Did Moore say or do something stupid previously?

I have a vague memory of him making an ass of himself over something but I could be wrong.

TLDR: If they draft Levis or AR after spending all those resources then the honeymoon period is over for me.

I'd just say that my opinion of myself is not so high that I would bail on our professional staff of quarterback whisperers just because they didn't take the guy I thought they should take.

I'm kicking tires on Elijah Moore with the Jets and also Sutton in Denver for less than Jeudy would cost.

Moore posted a kind of an enigmatic tweet about being thankful for a things he didn't get.

With the news that Aaron Rodgers is directing the Jets to try and sign some of his old offensive teammates, there's speculation the Jets might be willing to part with some of their current guys.
