Fitterer must have called in sick today Â
Actually he called in busy...
Dan Morgan and Cole Spender went with him.

Quiet today. I was expecting a couple of signings at least
Can't speak for you, but every time IÂ make a statement like that something crazy happens

Williams can be gotten for relatively cheap and short term. Honestly I think Foreman gets a bigger contract from him this FA.
Guessing you're talking about Jamaal. I think he was talking about DeAngelo.

meh Waller is 31... and coming off of an injury riddled year... Olsen was 25 when he was traded to us. This is a big difference.Â
Even so, we're not talking about a team with a habit of making good decisions.
(or even competent ones)

I'd consider that a pretty safe bet.

Darnold is at best a #2. Signing him tells me they're long term banking on Purdy getting healthy as their answer. Otherwise maybe they try to go for a better backup.
Lance may not even be a #2, at least right now. He has looked the worst of the starting QBs on the niners.
The 49ers are good enough a #2 can look very good.
Dumping him this soon after what they gave up to get him would be a huge moment of "Yikes"

I've seen speculation that Sanders could be a good fit for our offense

Props to Wilks for lighting the initial match, firing half the staff and getting rid of Anderson.
Last year does feel kind of surreal, doesn't it?

welcome to the world of working in sports media, get over itÂ
I think I'd rather ask our resident posters just to not be a--holes.
(it's genuinely possible, loads of people do it every day)
That, or out mods could be aggressive with the ban hammer when someone's being a dick to such guys.

I need 5 year break from overpaying RBs
Given the salary ranges that we're seeing from elsewhere, that doesn't really seem like a big danger right now

I do have visions of Anthony Richardson and D'Onta Foreman running an option from the 5 yard line. If we could somehow get DJ Chark and Darnell Washington (UGA), we'd have the best size for a spread power running game in the NFL.Â
But I'd rather have Stroud.Â
I also think you can take the Kansas State running back late on Day 3. Forgot his name. Keaton Mitchell out of ECU would also be a decent option. Both are Sproles like but quite a bit taller. Sort of remind me of Austin Ekeler.Â
Regardless of who our quarterback is, I don't really care to see them running a lot of option.

I know this is an offseason tradition but why are we the only team in the league that doesnât have actual insiders telling us things that are happening inside the building
other fanbases are treated to which players have received an offer sheet, which players they narrowly missed out on, which players are being consideredÂ
instead we have our âinsidersâ âleakingâ things as they appear on the team website and then saying âthis is something that was communicated to me a while ago.â
can we get an actual insider please and not an unofficial mouthpiece for the teamÂ
We have a contingent of internet a--holes that tend to run those types off, so...

I highly doubt you ever see that scenario other than injury. If they felt that way, Lance would be on the trade block or cut block.
It's fun for some people to think that Darnold is anything other than a #2 or #3 QB in the NFL, but he has never shown he is anything but that.
The only thing I could comfortably say I know Darnold to be is a nice guy.
I am curious to see how he functions in Shanahan's offense though, partially because I don't think Brock Purdy is some diamond in the rough that everybody missed on. He just played well within the system.
Maybe Darnold can do that too.

You do realize we just got rid of a coach that most Huddler's were smarter than, correct?
Took actual games to figure that out though
And honestly, I wouldn't even necessarily try to say that I know football better than Matt Rhule (though it's tempting).Â
As I've said many times before, it's not anybody's job to be smarter than me. Their job is to be smarter than their counterparts on the other teams.
Clearly, Rhule was not.
