  1. That too. I am very happy to have signed Dowdle(needed a little time to warm up to it, as I was hoping for a draft RB) but the visions of Double Trouble 2.0 needed to be tempered quite a bit. I definitely don't think we will see anything like that. For all the reasons listed.
  2. We haven't had two 1k backs since 2009. I would highly doubt that happens anytime soon. It would require a significant increase in rushing attempts and efficiency. Not to mention a big improvement defensively. That 2009 season we totaled 525 rushing attempts and also were ranked in the Top 10 in Points and Yardage defense. We had 410 rushing attempts in 2024 in 17 games. Taking credit for Dowdle as a "1k back" would expand that criteria to literally any team with a current roster RB that has run for 1k yards in the NFL. That likely would be a wider pool with that criteria.
  3. I would push back on that to an extent. Icky has yet to be top 10 and Corbett is really closer to bottom 10 than top 10 at his position. The guards are quite good and Moton can be significantly above average. It's a very good unit but it does have some warts. Certainly depth being one, although that is the best it has been for us in quite some time.
  4. Eh....I would say that is less likely to factor in to a "future" power ranking because RB's have very short lifespans and aren't rarely considered long term roster pieces in the modern era(TBD if this is changing).
  5. I would also add some definitive history behind us overlooking safety historically. Moehrig is the notable exception, so perhaps this is changing.
  6. I had people losing their minds about me calling the 2024 roster the worst in franchise history and a very clear last place in the NFL prior to Game 1 last year. I get being optimistic but we have to also be realistic. Are there arguments for us to be above #32? Yes, although I disagree. But to say we are anything outside the bottom 2 or 3 is bananas.
  7. The ESPN "Future" article had an interesting take that Coker was our real #1 WR in the future.
  8. The hype on the WR corps is scary and unfair to the guys we have, IMO.
  9. Or just generally trying guys out every few weeks. Either way, tough situation. @BasbearYou still trying to trade that dude?
  10. I mean, the Colts and Giants are so unbelievably better than our roster it is rather laughable to even suggest this. New Orleans is a bad roster but still a good bottom 5 candidate. The closest is likely the Pats. But when you look at our rosters side by side, I would say we are worse overall.
  11. Good God, we hope not. That would entail an insane contract extension and him hanging on until the end of it.
  12. I would disagree. The only real proven talent on the roster that are Lewis, Hunt, Moton, Hubbard, and D. Brown. One could argue Moehrig. The overwhelming bulk is a mix of incomplete grades, unproven talent or known weaknesses. I think when you factor in the depth after the starters, it's overwhelmingly 32nd ranked.
  13. I really don't think this kid is gonna make the team.
  14. I also noted that we have their panels 32nd ranked roster, which I also agree with. Hence why I get a little perplexed by the minority opinions here talking playoffs. I do understand how weak our division is and favorable the schedule is but.....we will rarely not be the least talented team on the field, if ever.

  16. I would say Scott being overtaken is a net positive. He is a known weakness in the starting lineup. Special Teams may emerge as a leading concern overall. Something to watch.
  17. I will say I think that would depend on what that looks like. It's a very young team, so I am not sure I would be prepping for next season until later in the year than after Game 4. I also am expecting 4-7 wins overall, so I care very little about a playoff hunt until it materializes as a realistic possibility. I am going to attempt to be patient with the results for the most part. My patience is wearing thin with a few players and definitely our DC. FO is on a short lease, as well. Love Dan but it's been a mixed bag during his tenure. Not as big of an improvement over Fitterer as I would really like to see.
  18. He is just a classic The Golden Calf of Bristol/Manziel type. Tons of attention and media hype which attracted insane fanbois and even more insane haters. It's all very stupid.
  19. I think you are misinformed about how to use it.
  20. Yeah, just show me we finally have some pieces to build with and that's a start. IDC if Canales is the guy or not. We can find coaches if we start gathering talent and show competence.
  21. The winning and losing is irrelevant. How your players play and team looks is a different thing, IMO. Especially back in the day, it wasn't uncommon to see starters get whipped for a couple of series but then a turnaround by 2nd or 3rd string units. Also, it's largely a bunch of vanilla playcalling. These are exercises in player evaluations, nothing more. So, there isn't a reason to freak out about getting beat by 30 by the Browns. Now there are ample reasons to be concerned about some of the players and how they performed. The depth being trash, I mean....if you couldn't tell that from just looking at the roster, I don't know what to say. This is very likely the second worst roster in Panthers history, behind the 2024 roster.
  22. I think you are broadcasting the fact that the last vagina you saw was the one you came out of. But, good luck with your mental illness fight.
