  1. He got screened from that one. Hasn't been great, though.
  2. Nice. Start the 2nd with a PP goal.
  3. Kinda of dunking on them in the period. Just let up a couple of bad opportunities
  4. He really is. I like that we seem to be peaking towards the end of the season versus falling apart. I honestly think we might be a Cup favorite.
  5. This is a different time, however. It's the era of pass friendly rules and offenses. Unfortunately, he has just not shown the ability to improve at all. Look at similar-ish players like Lamar and Josh Allen who made huge jumps in progression in their second or third years. Fields didn't. The market was reportedly very small for him and that ended up being true. That's basically the league telling everyone that they think he isn't a guy. That usually doesn't happen accidentally.
  6. I mean you are one of many. If none of you existed this would be a very boring place.
  7. Yeah, standard Huddle Hot Take idiot, truthfully. About an ounce of sense and 15 lbs of hot air.
  8. This isn't rare. This happens every couple of years with QB prospects
  9. His career as a starting QB most likely is. There is always the chance he will be a Geno Smith, Sam Bradford, etc. Those odds aren't very good, however. I just don't understand why anyone really believes he is a starting caliber NFL QB. He has three years of showing he can't adjust to the NFL.
  10. Well the league thinks he is worth a 6th rounder. I think that's about right. He is a 6th round caliber QB. Fields may not hage had ideal conditions but he never progressed over three years. That's basically Sam Darnold. He is who he is.
  11. He isn't going to win us anything if Bryce goes down. Nor is Bryce going to learn anything from him. A veteran QB makes way more sense in our scenario.
  12. Yeah, they traded a 6th rounder for a one year rental backup guy. I wouldn't hage even bothered wasting a 6th on that. They probably just wanted to get a look at him to see if he is worth a developmental contract once next season is over. The price is right for that sort of move.
  13. Here it is. You were trying to convince me Fields was still a good prospect because the Falcons and Steelers were interested in him. Lol.....for a sixth round pick is the level of interest. As I said then and as it was proved....the league also views him as a bust.
  14. Wasn't it you who was trying to convince me Fields was anything other than a bust a couple of weeks ago? I believe you said you were going to "keep the receipt" or some such.
  15. @CamWhoaaCam I hope you kept those receipts. This is what the NFL thinks he is worth. I tried to tell you.
  16. This could be one of those defining moments in the season. We will see.
  17. Good Lord we blew our load in the last game. fuging spent. Terrible.
  18. He was elite for a very short period. If his body hadn't been so battered from the reckless abandon he played with, he probably would have been a HOFer.
  19. Fitterer was so unquestionably the worst GM this franchise has ever had and that is considering Dave Gettleman and Marty Hurney were employed here at one point.
  20. I was perpexled by our early offseason moves but there does seem to be a rhyme and reason to this pretty dramatic overall roster shaping. At the moment it's hard to say the overall result but, I will say Morgan really seems to be distancing himself from the Scott Fitterer moves of the past. Definitely a higher percentage of logical moves. What is your overall feeling of how the current regime compares to the last, if only in terms of appearances?
  21. Rosen got traded for next to nothing too. Unlike us(Sam Darnold), the league appears to have finally understood that if you show that you aren't an NFL starting caliber QB, you aren't worth much. Sadly for us, I suspect we might see the same conclusion after this coming season.
