I think it's about if he can be developed properly or not. I mean, XL supposedly has work ethic but you definitely can't tell. Eventually you have to just develop.

Almost every ESPN draft bobblehead is a fuging idiot. None as useless as Kiper but McShay is far from a reliable analyst.

Yeah, I definitely read more than one article that stated Warren was not a slam dunk as the top TE. He was an "eye of the beholder" guy. Doesn't mean he isn't a great prospect but the Brock Bowers comps seemed very suspect.

I think it is largely a lot of solid, starting caliber players but not much in the way of elite players. But, given depth of this class, I do think you will see some Pro Bowl/All Pro caliber guys. Probably at least 2, IMO. The issue will be figuring out which guy it is.

He seemed to be pretty consistently in the top 20. Not a huge shock, IMO.

For all the people crying about the WR choice, do keep in mind that these DE/EDGE guys seem to be dropping. So we may end up being able to grab a starting caliber guy anyway.

Yeah, that seemed to be widely regarded as his floor unless a LOT of wild poo happened before them. Curious to see if they go WR or another direction.

I am not sure I have ever seen a prospect as overrated as Warren by our fanbase.

I love the player but we picked him so I am sure it will be a fuging disaster.

It's funny how many Panther fans ignored the few insider voices talking about how Warren was genuinely unlikely to be a top 10 pick and wasn't universally regarded as the #1 overall TE for that matter. In a draft very light on elite talent and he isn't regarded as one.

I am genuinely stunned by that pick. Makes me believe that we don't really love any of those pass rushers, which I do also understand. Love the player personally.
