  1. This is someone ignoring Kyle Shanahan's impact on QB's. Before and after, for that matter.
  2. That metric would be one of the better indicators of what you are describing. I would disagree what we don't need percentage. Hucking the ball deep for low percentage is just basically Anthony Richardson. You see how much they have improved since he was replaced. Again, I think most are really hyper focusing on a relatively small aspect of Bryce's flaws. His poor mechanics and his lack of being able to make quick reads lead to the overwhelmingly majority of his lack of success/consistency. His arm strength and targets downfield are much smaller aggravating factors to that lack of success.
  3. Willis is really a 3rd string QB at the moment. He is in a place that suits him, behind a young, potentially franchise QB with no pressure on his development timeline. That is exactly not the case here. Personally, I highly doubt he will ever develop more than being a middling backup but we will see.
  4. If it isn't a heavy dose of Rico early and often, you will have a pretty good idea of the outcome, I suspect. Huddle wants Rico heavy running and play action passing. Watch almost none of that actually happen on Sunday.
  5. Compare that to what happened when Lamar was out and came back.
  6. I have been consistent on that front. High TO QB's have not been as successful in the modern NFL has previous NFL eras. Hence why I don't want to see Winston or Howell here and didn't like Darnold at all. Darnold may have evolved, still TBD IMO but those other two guys have always been pure gunslingers. They have no real value as a starter in the NFL if the goal is winning games.
  7. There is no way this is a real high ankle sprain if this is a "one week injury."
  8. Mac Jones IAY/PA(Intended Air Yards/Pass Attempt) is 7.5 Bryce Young's is 7.7. So if you want a QB that regularly targets deep passes, Mac Jones is not your guy. For reference(these stats only exist from 2018 onward) these are some notable other passers in the NFL: Josh Allen: 8.8 Lamar Jackson: 8.7 Patrick Mahomes: 7.6 Jared Goff: 7.0 CJ Stroud: 8.4 Jayden Daniels: 7.5 Drake Maye: 7.3 Anthony Richardson: 11.2 Sam Howell: 7.5 Jameis Winston: 10.1
  9. This also fits the modern context of "doing your own research." Step 1: Type in my opinion into search engine/social media/YouTube Step 2: Wait for algorithms to serve up what I want to hear/read to validate my opinion. Step 3: Ignore all other data.
  10. I am not prepared to say that. Darnold still has a ton to prove.
  11. Cam has to be the bigger man there. He had a lot more to lose that whatever goober is in that costume.
  12. It's asking the laziest questions to one of the dumber people you know, essentially. With just as little context.
  13. I could have said DJ Johnson, XL, Rashaan Gaulden, etc, etc. It's a Panthers habit.
  14. Yeah. I don't think Dalton is Flacco. But, most didn't think Flacco was Flacco. I am fine with rolling with Dalton this year but you can't bank your future on a late 30's QB. That is a bridge guy at the absolute best. And it's a short ass bridge, at that.
  15. Not sure that would be the case if he was there.
  16. Some of these LLM's are useful but not in the ways that 99% of the people use them.
  17. If we move on from Bryce, 100% down for a competition next year. Dalton(if he is still around), FA QB or rookie or some combination of all. Just something else.
  18. 100% agree. If you don't think he is the guy, trade him before the 5th option is taken in the offseason. Pull the band-aid off and move on. Doesn't matter if the answer is Dalton, free agent QB, draft QB or some combination. Be decisive about making a move.
  19. If you base your entire evaluation on outliers, that is how you end up with Bryce Young.
  20. Leave a potential playoff contender for us?? You trying to offer him an 8 year, $70 mil AAV deal???
  21. Honestly, he does see the field better and is more decisive with the ball than Bryce. But, Shanahan's offense makes QB's look very good so he wouldn't look anything like that here, I suspect.
