Yeah, I get it. Personally I start every season optimistic until I am given reason not to be by their play on the field in actual games that count.

We got a fuging squad people. Everyone being a Debbie Downer must have a miserable life at home. This is the youngest, most talented Panthers team we’ve had since at least 2015. Just stop over analyzing and enjoy the ride. Personally I think we’re gonna shock the world this year. Let’s fuging get it!!

This is the Matt Rhule way. Year 1 - lose, but look good and be competitive in most all games Year 2 - vastly improved. Almost there, but still some growing pains. Year 3 - Go Time. poo gets real and we start challenging for titles and championships.

Sure, why not? You cannot compare the situation Sam was in last year with what we have going this year. There was not 1 WR or back on their team that’s as good as our WR3. Joe Brady vs Adam Gase is a joke. I guess we all just have to see how it plays out. But you are so dead set on Sam sucking before he’s even thrown 1 pass for us. Last year was his only really bad season and that entire team was in tank mode and quit on their head coach.

I highly, highly, highly doubt they made this extension today thinking that they do not intend to also extend DJ. That makes no sense to me. DJ is the younger, more dynamic talent, and he was drafted here. I imagine this time next year they will also extend DJ much like they’ve extended CMC and Moton and now Robby.

OK. Let me break it down for you. We currently have almost 25 million in cap space for 2021. Robby's new deal adds 4 million to his salary this year. So, lets say that takes us to 20. I have no idea if we make any more big signings this year or not. For conversations sake, lets say we don't. So we roll that 20 mil into next year, of which we now have 35 million. So, that leaves us at 55 million in cap space for next year. Robbys next deal is for 13 mil next year. That takes us to 42 million in cap space as we sit today. The following year we currently have 155 million in cap space. Take away the 12 guaranteed to Robby and that leaves us at 143 million.

I already pretty much posted it. Now that I look back at it, im not 100% sure that Robbys new deal has been factored in yet, but even if it has not, this year we have 20-24 million left. Next year around 30, before the roll over from this year. Year after that is between 145-155 million. We're in great shape with the cap any way you slice it. Another amazing draft or 2 from Fitt-Dawg and we will be in the drivers seat in the NFC.

We will still have plenty of money available next off season to sign a top flight LT if one somehow became available. Have you seen how much cap space we have projected coming up the next couple of years? And that is all before the NFL raises the cap dramatically, as is projected. I know its foreign around here to have a lot of flexibility and cap space, but this is a new regime and they actually seem to understand how to work the salary cap.

Thanks for this. These are great. These highlights give me a lot of hope for Sams future here. He shows very quick decision making, and a complete cannon for an arm. Also, hes very decisive and accurate on the slants and quick in-cutting routes....something that will be very key with the types of players we have on this team. I think the skys the limit for Sam and the offense in general this year. Lets hope he can shake off all the bad habits and stink he got from Adam Gase and the Jets.

I'd rather lose the Super Bowl every single year than be a 5 win bottom feeder. -

https://sports.yahoo.com/madden-nfl-22-predicts-the-2021-season-164926460.html Yahoo Sports did their yearly Madden season simulation and the results were VERY surprising. Carolina wins the NFC Championship on the back of a rejuvenated Sam Darnold who threw 36 TD passes, and CMC who set the NFL record for all purpose yards with over 2,800. I know it means exactly squat, but I thought it was cool…
