  1. I have a feeling they'll extend him this year. If not they're retarded to trade him or let him go

They already tried to work out an extension with him and he didn't go for it. I can't imagine he'd change his mind after this year when the Bears are probably the worst team in the league and he has to work with amazing duo of Jimmy Clausen and John Fox.

  2. Everyone upset that we didn't do this for our WRs has to remember KB is still on the team. You add him plus next years draft and our WR core looks dominate. We just don't need to add a body for just one year when the guys we do have arnt doing too bad. If our WR started to crash and burn and we were 0-3 then yes they would have to make a move. But as it stands pass rush was glaring weakness that they shored up. Good move by GMan

I still think it's the right move to trade for Alshon if we can get him for a 2nd and agree to a reasonable extension. It's not like we are so overloaded at WR that we wouldn't have room once KB returns.

KB and Jeffery would be 1A and 1B on the outside. Let Funchess play the slot (assuming he even works out) as he's basically a hybrid WR/TE anyway. The rest of our guys can compete for those #4 and #5 spots.

  3. 2 years. 8 mil per. 12.5 guaranteeed left which is all on this year. None guaranteed beyond

    His contract

From what I saw the 12.5 guaranteed this year, 11.5 is a roster bonus, which would have already been paid by the Bears (and so, they'd take the cap hit for it). All we would owe (and take a cap hit for) would be the 1 million base salary. Actually less now as he's already played 3 games. 13/16 of one million, whatever that is if anyone wants to break out a calculator.

  4. We have a great history of completely ripping them off making fair and mutually benefitial trades with the Bears

Next, let's see if we can trade for Alshon Jeffery. He's on the last year of his contract and doesn't want to sign an extension with the Bears, I'm sure we could convince them to go ahead and get something while they still can.
