I’ve been more than fair, re: Teddy. Wrote this about his 2020 season last night.

My sources tell me that there will be another round (or two) of bold predictions in advance of actual Watson news.

That, in itself, is a bold prediction.

I can absolutely see going out and getting your QB.  Unless you have a franchise QB, you're always looking for one.  That's kind of an age old adage.  On @ellis's podcast, Steven Ruiz made a similar point to how the Chiefs have been kind of wackadoodle in their player acquisition.  Doesn't matter too much because Mahomes hides all kinds of deficits.

On the flip side, we have SO MANY holes on our team.  Giving up all of that, it would make it hard for Watson to really thrive here to make the investment worth it.  I mean, we've seen teams with lesser QBs win SBs with a much stronger team around them.

Heck, I'm just a fan.  I don't envy the guys in the building who have to weigh those kinds of options!

Joe Brady's supposed brilliance and all of our weapons and he was still a barely mediocre NFL QB. I mean, it was entirely predictable but they seem stunned by it. Teddy was exactly what I thought he would be after looking at tape from his previous seasons. The injury didn’t help matters. The situational football was really bad down the stretch, even with Brady on the field. It was just a mess, to be honest.

He’s the owner. I’m of the opinion that he’s ready to start dipping his beak into some winning seasons. Again, it’s just an opinion.

Keep in mind, I’m just offering perspective. I’m not sourcing anything here. This is not any sort of reporting. I’m just offering up an opinion. I appreciate the dialogue, even if you guys disagree.

I think it’s an indicator that they, from an organizational perspective, are ready to start competing right now. I mean, how else can you look at it?

I had Stanley on the show to talk about what I believe to be a fascinating story about two brothers who played for the same team. He also had some cool stories about some of the guys from the Fox era.
