  1. brb looking for an unspecified thread made at an unknown time in the lounge
  2. this is the thread where the huddle pretends they're kicking hard 10s out of their bed every morning
  3. somewhere, pantherfanforlife and michael procton are crying and holding each other
  4. wow if it's fully guaranteed that changes the landscape massively weren't the seahawks playing chicken with russell wilson and trying to lowball him? i think if cam got a fully guaranteed contract that makes it more likely wilson will hit FA. oh and then there's the extension luck is going to get
  5. confirm/deny: if this goes through it's the biggest, most important contract in franchise history
  6. how can even positively quantify your first sentence? i doubt you've listened to every artist that's out there right now. probably not even 1% of them. what's going on just below the surface is insanely vibrant right now and easier to access than ever before. the problem with your generation (haha i loved typing that) is that you seemingly don't want to turn off the radio and go look for it. you keep looking at this through the lens of the old, outdated, top-down structure the big labels are clinging to. if the album format is dead then why did vinyl sales hit a 20 year high last year? just a coincidence? one direction fans getting confused and going to a record shop and buying melody echo chamber LPs by accident?
  7. all of this it's like people think they deserve a pat on the butt just for disagreeing with everyone and holding an unpopular opinion. it's like it doesn't matter that their arguments don't make sense (hurr the only reason anybody knows who luke kuechly is is because of marketing) or they seemingly don't understand basic poo (like what a 3-4 DE is typically asked to do vs. what a 3-4 outside linebacker is typically asked to do)-they're brave enough to be a loudmouth on the internet so they deserve to be praised and taken seriously. yes mr. special snowflake it's rare and unusual for a person to have an opinion on a topic.
  8. except it's easier than ever to listen to literally hundreds of thousands of bands any time you want it's a fun thought exercise to juxtapose all the complaints about entitled, shallow millenials with the main grandpa simpson complaint that "bah of the 20 songs in heavy rotation on modern pop stations i'm not hearing the next black sabbath or REM so that means modern music is terrible and it's hard to find anything good" well that's true except for that whole internet thing
  9. you could have just copied/pasted the posts instead of bumping a bunch of old threads
  10. imagine how mad haplo is going to be when watt is inducted into the hall of fame and is considered one of the greatest defensive linemen to ever suit up and is in the company of bruce smith, reggie white, and deacon jones
  11. i remember watching an interview from the 70s where pink floyd discussed critics accusing them of being untalented hacks because their sound effect and synthesizer heavy albums "weren't real music" and that anybody could do it lol e: it was one of the interviews from live at pompeii
  12. tame impala and mac demarco have been two of my favorites recently
  13. there was this hilarious video on youtube years ago that was like five or six charger fans reacting to that play as it happened live my favorite part was how you could hear somebody mutter "that took longer than one second" or something to that effect after the play as if it shouldn't have counted or something
  14. yeah wallace was fined for it later even though he wasn't actually flagged in the game: http://newsok.com/panthers-wallace-fined-for-hit-on-simms/article/2888758
  15. he hasn't gotten significant snaps since 2006 simms is somewhat infamous in panthers fandom because al wallace and julius peppers almost literally killed him
  16. i'm 28 and didn't pay attention to pro football before the panthers. the only pro sports team i really gave a crap about was the atlanta braves.
  17. why are there so many posters trying to white knight jameis winston on this site
  18. this is why i have a love/hate relationship with the start of training camp it represents the beginning of football season for people addicted to the NFL but at the same time the blow by blow coverage of guys tweaking this or that, limping off the field, getting carted off and all that is nerve wracking
