  1. It's incredible to watch them go do what is impossible for Tepper. Lucky fans to get ownership that does that well that quick but they did have a long time under Snyder. They are building their house the right way and it still looks like Tepper is about to do his thing again with the same crappy outcome.

This is how I view Tepper.  He may be a big fan of the game but should not have any say in which players are retained, let loose, picked up in free agency and most importantly who is drafted.

Stop looking at what someone did in college and expect the exact performance in the NFL. You can offer your input but in the end let the Pros make the decision.

Any owner should be presented with the big things to sign off on but his involvement at the other levels has been devastating to the outcome of everything to do with the team.

He has no idea about the football stuff and it doesn't look like he is learning much either so he keeps hiring bad football people and putting them in bad spots and expecting anything good to happen. It's comical and sad.

Honestly, his 5th year salary is pretty low BECAUSE he hasn't played much.

May as well pick it up. We aren’t gonna get a better corner for that price tag.

He played 6 games this year. I don't get the disconect about what he could have been and what he has been. I would rather use that cap space and roster spot on a guy who will be available to play.

  4. Hurney was well respected LOL. Same old stuff, just professionals being professionals.

I would rather have someone actually good at their jobs and not another dud who is well respected. What Morgan did with Fritters is enough to know he is the wrong guy to promote let alone keep being an assistant GM.

IDK, I think it's very debatable if Horn deserves a 5th year option. He is a top 10 pick and the option would be expensive, he has never played a full season as well. I would understand if the FO declines it and just see if he can stay healthy his 4th year. That's a lot of money sitting on IR for the year!

I would be happiest to see him traded this offseason. He is very talented but he also isn't healthy enough and should get no where near 5th year option money until he can play a healthy year or 2. The best ability is availability after all. He has played in 22 games in 3 years so that's 43.1% of the time. Anyone still believing he is worth paying to his physical talent level is about to eat a lot of dead cap on the IR. Take any pick and sign someone who will be a lot more likely to be available on game days is absolutely a better path then waiting for him to have a healthy year which would be an anomaly at this point sadly.

  6. Decent ownership, a much better front office, competent GMing, capable coaching, coherent roster building, accurate player evaluations and the ability to adapt at all of those levels.

A good QB, a decent TE, a WR room minus 1 slot grandfather, a dominant oline, a completely new CB room and a D built around Brown who is the best player on the roster.

A good stadium experience and not an overpriced shell of a game day. A reason to show up and care on game day. A practice/team facilities near the stadium. Real grass and not more garbage music.

    Winning.

I'm sure there is more but that's all I can recall in the downward spiral that is Panther fandom.

Liars the lot of you if you loved footy like most here you’d have a great time playing GM

When in Panther history did the team string together enough competency over a course of a few seasons to not heavily question their moves and failures?

I don't want to be the GM. I just want a good one finally to do a good job. I would be more than happy to watch a great one cook even if I didn't love individual moves. If winning cures all this team is at plague level now.

  8. The only positive I am hearing is that the team actually knows what the perception is of their state currently. Having to ask if they can ask for an interview is embarrassing. Now something so much worse is out there. It is such a poorly run organization. More like new mistakes and unfortunately not learning much yet good still.

People going back and forth on whether this is a good defense or terrible one.

I just say GOOD LUCK evaluating this defense; it was paired with the most unwatchable offense in franchise history.

Just look to Rhule's #2 D and then the next year's numbers with Wilks running the ball for half a year after that.

It wasn't terrible but it wasn't top 10, neither were unless you only use yards allowed for both. And Wilks D fell apart as his time went on because other teams had to do more to win vs mailing it in against Rhule who only wanted to run CMC into the ground.

Considering the 3-4 swith that is fine with me. Those do take time. But there is very recent precedence to help unlock the mystery of how good that unit really is. Solid and likely average at best in the overall rankings.

If you think needing 3 future HOFers (as in he had 2 and couldn't do anything) to score more than 10 ppg isn't a bust, then I don't know what to say.

Picking a QB in the top 10 and not being able to be more than a journeyman is a bust. A 7th round pick, last in the draft, that plays as well as that top 10 pick isn't a bust. Ohh and Baker was a #1 pick.

IDK what you are talking about and I never mentioned anything about HOF. I said startable, they couldn't even beat out the other guys.

You are all over the place and just making up stuff. If you feel that way fine but you are spouting off like any of that is facts. I don't know what else to say but your takes are laughable once you went to Purdy as a bust while trying to prop up Baker as more then he is...Ohh and for a bonus Wilks established here last year how to handle QBs like Darnold and Baker so TB is just following that blueprint. Run the ball and ask the QB to do as little as possible which limits the damage they can do.

Might be they want to go ahead a hire evero and take his input on who he wants to work with.

That sounds awful all the way around but OK. It's not like they couldn't do both at the same time and put both in a room before making it official.

If it is Evero I have a hard time not seeing him as one and done also. Plus he didn't take the interim job. IDK, it's already getting weird.

From start to finish, the 3 of them have played 7 games combined in the last three seasons. I'm not counting games where they came in for one play due to an injury and then came back out. QBs in the NFL play the entire game when healthy. So that's what I am counting. The entire game. Of those, there are 7 between those 3 players in the last 3 seasons.

Seeing that to be the case, you (nor anyone else) do not know any of these things for a fact. You are just guessing that over literally any sample size something that happened in one game would hold true. If you think 7 games between them is enough of a sample size to accurately judge 3 NFL players, I don't know what to tell you.

They had 2 offseasons to work with Lance. He didn't play more because he wasn't worth playing regardless of investment. Doesn't matter what you count, they have practices and off season workouts we all don't get to see. Your standards are completely arbitrary and hold no accepted value, in the fan community or coaching as far as I have ever heard. They say most should get 13 games but if they are not even startable then it's not going to take 13 games is it?

Some guys are just long shot projects and with Purdy they found a better one and no one has time for 2 projects at QB, Prudy isn't even a project anymore while Lance sure is. I know he has played poorly and I was very interested in his potential as a vocal admirer as a prospect, though I didn't like that trade for a project. The fact the 49ers already traded him speaks for itself which you choose to ignore, they are a well run contender and already replaced him while he was on the roster in that 'short time'. It was a win-win anyways, he gets a shot without that trade over his head and the 49ers get a mistake to go away and are in the playoffs without him or those picks used. He is absolutely a bust for what they paid and like I said he has a solid chance to prove he isn't a complete bust not sitting behind Darnold as #3 in SF.

As far as Baker is 100% a known quantity in the NFL, there is zero mystery to what he brings to the table.

Willis has looked awful, that is really not debatable, it's fact. He absolutely might not make it far with the new regime but I am assuming they at least bring him to camp. His issues were also documented in that draft

  13. It only takes 1 team to make the trade happen. At this point an early 2nd looks better than him walking, though at this point I am ok with that too. Can't fix what the moron who was just fired broke. Never thought I would see worse than Gettleman or Hurney and  wow was I wrong.
