That's what is really sad. Fitterer talking about wanting all the picks and acquiring a million last draft just to give them all away this year. They would all be top 10 picks in each round, but we only have like three draft picks! And we owe money to QBs, that may or may not be on the roster! And we have a bunch of assets that at least deserve a look at negotiating to bring back. I thought we were done with the Hurney era!
But he is such a great GM!
This is how Hurney 2.0 really looks like. And people want to allow that fool to pick the next HC. LOL

It may not JUST be the QB....Or JUST Brady...
Sam is a giant failure, he would be lucky to get a backup gig at this point. PJ is maybe a #3, PS guy. Nothing changes there. It took Sam getting out of the way for us to confirm how bad everything else was that was hiding behind his awfulness.
Cam is fugged here. The staff doesn't like him, doesn't know how to use him and he won't get a shot at a competent offense here this year. No idea what Cam has left but he isn't dragging this crew to wins, lol even when they are not subbing PJ in.
This has been and will continue to be a group effort in failure. Led by Rhule and then the losers he hired, all of them. Fug'em all.

I agree. If you’re going to go this route, let Fit and co choose their own guy and just get rid of Rhule. This was also agreed on when Rhule was hired. No need to break terms and create another mess, just cut ties.
If by some idiot reasons Rhule is retained, need to accept the poo show must go on.
I do not have any faith in Fitts. I like Dan but whatever really.
We had a chance to hire an allstar GM like Eric B, we ended up with 'a likable guy' with nothing impressive on his resume that wanted to work under Rhule. I just don't understand the love. He is great at finding CBs and the rest has been bad to blah at best. I don't get the love for Fitts. No it wasn't all Fitts but he was in on this mess or he was a tool, neither create a positive for him at the end.

Here's the issue. Put yourself in the shoes of good NFL coordinator candidates with other options. Are you really going to come to work for a guy who everyone knows will be on one of the hottest seats in the league next year (assuming we would retain Rhule here) with a massive question mark at QB and nearly the entire OL or would you go somewhere with more job security? Honestly, it kinda feels like you're just setting yourself up for failure. Which is why Rhule needs to be fired.
Anyone willing to take that job is suspect as hell. Maybe, longshot maybe, someone who failed elsewhere takes the job to prove it next year...Yeah, that sounds like a recipe for success next year.
Doesn't matter, Rhule wouldn't hire them or work with them. All indications are he leans heavily on 'his people'. Identify those people and fire them along with Rhule is still the best option on the table.

Who with any competency or sanity would come work for a HC like Rhule now?
Sounds like the players are starting to point fingers (Erving) and I bet the front office people are already distancing themselves from Rhule, as they tend to do in these situations.
It's over, all that is left is wrapping up the rest of the year one way or another.

That will fix the bad coaching and in-game personnel decisions...
This changes nothing really. Those 2 were guys Rhule wanted here like the rest of his staff.
Burn it all down!

It would be a lot easier to just list what he has done well:
-
Take that name and drag it, it's been earned.
I would love to know how bad things get today. I imagine it's not a fun day at work lol.
-
Too funny. If you are defending Rhule and he isn't making you money then you need to have you head checked.
He is not a NFL level coach. He doesn't have the experience, knowledge or ability to keep up with his competition. It's obvious at this point. Now all that is left is what Tepper is going to do with the failure he hired.
-
I get that replacing Rhule now wouldn't solve much considering our options if that happened.
Could we get a temp to play the rookies at their best projected spots? If yes pull the trigger. Hell, would Rhule's staff even show up anymore or would they just start making plans to move to whatever school they would all herd towards?

I'm a little drunk but isn't the 'Sam is a good QB' group now backing Fritts greatness?

I think he is presently the 2nd worst NFL HC. Only behind Urban. He is way worse than Rhule.
Rhule is awful but Urban is a masterpiece of a trainwreck.
I could see Rhule as #2. His name will live in infamy for years.

Who would you say was a worse HC coach?
Fox, Rivera and Capers were all easily better.
Seifert had a rough go. But probably forgot more about coaching in this league while employed here than Rhule will ever know
For us? I think it's that bad sure. Just not worst NFL coach without the other stuff.
He should never have been hired. He lacks meaningful knowledge and his direction is fickle.

I'm not. And I'm sure as hell not ready to trust an entire power structure built by the least intelligent football mind in the room.
Fitterer is a draft guy. Morgan is a pro player guy. I want to see what those guys can do with an offseason where they don't have a college coach in charge of setting the menu and making the final roster decisions.
That already happened when Tepper allowed Hurney to stay, all you are doing is shmearing the poostain around again with your approach.

I can not condone violence.
But I don't have to stop it or not watch it on looped playback.

Just now, Mr. Scot said:
And you want a front office / coaching staff built by the same guy who was stupid enough to trust Marty Hurney?
I sure as hell don't.
Still better than Rhule's boy on a leash. Even a broke clock is right twice a day and all that.
And he put that collar on himself lol

Fitterer isn't the one who gave a college coach that kind of power.
The guy who did is the guy you're talking about making our next choices.
Also have to realize that if you don't keep Fitterer, it's not guaranteed you keep Morgan.
The two of them are very close friends and Morgan might not be happy seeing the guy who helped him become who he is get dumped after one season when he didn't even have full power.
You willing to take that chance too?
Yes x 8 sideways

It's the same as the environment he came from.
I'd throw in these questions:
Do you really want to...
1) Replace both a coach and GM in the same offseason
2) Leave that kind of full rebuild in the hands of David Tepper?
That's who's going to be picking both our next coach and our next GM if we don't keep Fitterer around.
1) If there is any mercy in the universe, yes. That is how we ended up here in the 1st damn place, clean the shithouse.
2) Why not, version one has already imploded. At least the next one would be different than the last, which was Hurney level.

Why do we need a LT? We have Erving and Daley....LOL
Rhule is an idiot and BC is already 25. Rhule is a waste of time for everyone I guess.
