  1. Who? I can't imagine they'd be willing to give away a starter just to pick up $18M in cap space when we already have the most in the league.

Maybe someone like Troy Pride? Daviyon Nixon? MAYBE Terrace Marshall Jr, but even that would be pretty steep.

What the hell do we need all this cap space for?

  2. One thing I'll say about Willis... from what I've seen/heard/read it seems like the coaching he received at Liberty was terrible. From the scheme itself to the lack of focus on fundamentals to the way they relied so much on his raw athleticism to carry them.

You get the sense that had he been on a team like Oklahoma or Alabama he'd be a much more complete player and a lot of these questions everyone has would be answered by now.

I actually trust Ben McAdoo to make the call if we go QB. I'm just not sure Rhule will be able to resist not ignoring his advice and making the decision himself.

Ok this I agree 100% on. I just think a qbs success and winning a championship isn't 100% on them as many people think. People like to say newton not winning a super bowl is because he wasn't good enough as a passer when other factors like Byron bell and the other horrible tackle came into play.

Winning a championship is a team effort. Not having elite wrs who can help a qb matters. Having a cmc like back matters. Having say von miller on the other side matters. Elite shut down CBS. Its not all on the qb to win a game.

I agree, but you also have a hell of an easier time winning a championship if you have a top QB.

  4. I'd prefer we sign Cam, draft a LT at #6 and target one of the QBs next year. But if we're going QB, I'd prefer Willis to Pickett simply due to the upside.

If you're going QB in the top-10, you need to bet on traits and upside in this day and age.

Yeah I’m not that excited about the signings as everyone else.  But hey go Panthers!

They're solid signings for the most part. I'm not sure about Damien Wilson as anything more than depth, but aside from that and paying Jackson over Gilmore I can't really argue with any of the moves we've made so far.
