  1. At this point I'd be happy with Ben Johnson, Bobby Slowick or Dave Canales of the offensive candidates.

Of the defensive options I'd rather go with Evero than anyone but I wouldn't mind Mike McDonald either. Not a fan of Raheem Morris or any other retreads.

It sounds like Canales is going to be the guy.

Canales is probably a better candidate than a lot of people realize. I wasn't familiar with him before this season but he's got a solid resume and has worked wonders for Baker Mayfield. He also was Geno Smith's QB coach in Seattle when he revitalized his career so he certainly seems to know how to get the most out of his QBs, even if they've struggled prior to working with him.

And let's not forget how Russell Wilson fell off a cliff as soon as he left Seattle. Did no longer having Canales as his QB coach play a role in that? Hard to say, but it's at least a possibility.

Plot twist he signs Kaepernick they go on to win a SB.

    Talk about Chaos!

The league would never allow that to happen. The zebras would be working overtime to make sure they didn't sniff a Super Bowl.

Being a good OC doesnt mean he will be a good head coach.  Way too many variables.  And hiring BS just because he had a good year with stroud and assuming he can fix Young would be a panther move for sure.  If BS is the guy is tepper going to let give him time to grow into the role because the dude is as green as they come.

In closing hiring this dude simply because he had a great offense one year is pretty moronic in my opinion.

It would be a bit more logical if he got hired and just let EE handle all things defense and he just focused on the offense but I dont know if it works like.  Each head coach has a scheme in mind for what they think would be successful

I don't care that Slowick was Stroud's O.C. I'm just a huge fan of his offense in general. Whether it's Bryce Young or whatever QB we draft in 2025 having a coach like Bobby Slowick that brings such a dynamic offense to the table will be a HUGE plus.

  5. Personally I'm going with Sean McVay. Great offensive mind who brings energy to the team and has shown the ability to win with various levels of talent.

He really impressed me with his coaching job this season. That Rams team had no business being as good as they were. I legitimately thought they'd be in the mix for a top-5 pick.

Stroud wouldn’t have looked like the ROY on this poo sandwich of a team this year

This is true. But he's shown that with the right scheme and talent around him he can thrive. Can Bryce?

I certainly hope so but we'll never know if we don't get this head coaching hire right.

  7. I was as big a Bryce Young supporter pre-draft as there was on this board. But yeah, it's clear at this point we should have taken C.J. Stroud.

That said, I'm not as doom and gloom on Bryce as some here either. I do think he can eventually be a franchise QB for us, but at this point I don't see how he'll ever be as good as Stroud. All we can do now is find the best coaching staff possible and try to surround him with as much talent as possible and hope it comes together.

And if it doesn't work out then it's back to the draft board. Such is life in the NFL.

  8. Nick Sirianni is a Frank Reich guy. Reading all the stories today about dysfunction between Jalen Hurts, Sirianni and the O.C. Brian Johnson regarding the direction the Eagles offense seems eerily similar to what our offense experienced this season.

Makes you wonder if the apple perhaps doesn't fall far from the tree.
