I always expected it locally but even national media is talking like this team is about to do something. I personally don’t like it, because it rarely works out that way. The blueprint stuff too. When you start speaking like you have arrived it diminishes the drive and the hunger it takes to compete. We haven’t won even a game yet, I am cautiously optimistic, but this team has too many questions from a roster and development perspective to be talking nonsense like playoffs or even a division title. Let’s just enjoy the journey and take it easy with the projections.

Sign but make it mostly incentive driven contract

I mean, I've heard the same thing about him from a woman, so...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've also heard you g kids say she is attractive. I think that her persona is somewhat...uh, thuggeg-ou-err, masculine...and that may cloud or even define perceptions of her in the minds of many, especially older guys. I try to get past it.
To each his own I guess

Am I in the minority when I say that he could do a lot better than this girl. Famous or not she’s not that attractive

Boy that Blueprint Episode 1 did wonders for Dan Morgan and Brandt Tilis
I also think it went well for Tepper who appeared to let his people do their jobs

First of all, loved this video. I watched last night.
I normally not one to do, I told you so's,,,,,
Most around here hated the fact Dan Morgan was promoted to GM. In my eyes, he had paid his dues, and had earned the opportunity to run a team.
I dont know how anybody can be against him at this point. He lives and breathes football. He absolutely is the right man for the job. I also have to give him credit for bringing Dace C, and Tillis.
This franchise has the best front office it has ever had, IMO.
And under Teppers ownership.
Keep pounding Dan.
I guess I was in the minority I loved the Dan Morgan promotion to GM

May be nothing but was a little surprised to see Canales lack of interest/excitement when Morgan asked him about drafting Horn.
You mean not showing excitement about a 6th rd pick? Lol

Does it count against the cap?

I'm glad we can find common ground on these issues. I think most of the folks in the fanbase are burned out from not only the losing but the same discussions. This is a put up or shut up year in many ways for sure. Hopefully things go relatively according to plan and come December we are talking about further building around our core and competing for the playoffs in the not so distant future instead of bickering about why this or that was a failure yet again. Here's to hoping
Amen

I’m not going to sit here and say he played “amazing” in this game against the Eagles, but you’re selling this performance short. Stats do not tell the whole story here.
If Leggette doesn’t drop that late 32 yard pass, Bryce ends up with 223 yards and 2TDs and doesn’t end up with 2 additional incompletions after that drop trying to force things to the end zone at the end of the game. So that’s be 20-32 instead of 19-34, good for a 62.5% completion percentage. His YOA would be 6.96 and his QB rating would have been 91.2. And the story everyone is talking about after the game is how Bryce led a game winning drive to beat one of the best teams in the league, the team we did not know at the time would become Super Bowl champions.
But none of that happened all because of an awful drop by Leggette, something totally out of Bryce’s control. Bryce played well that game.
More so than the stats it was against that killer defense in their own stadium, the same defense that made Mahomes look like a total JAG in the SB. The way Bryce handled adversity all game was simply phenomenal , the off script play in the end zone, scrambling out of a sack/safety to find XL deep was one of the best plays we have seen out of a Panthers QB on what should have been a game winning drive

We have invested a ton of capital in the offensive line. We've invested heavily in WR. We've invested in our backfield. We've invested in TE. We've got a young up and coming offensive minded head coach. The expectation should be for our redzone efficiency to improve significantly. That is not just on Bryce Young. But at the end of the day it will always begin and end with him more often than not. It's always been that way and that's just the nature of the position in this league. And not for nothing but before we drafted Bryce Young nobody was going around here saying we need elite play across the board and top shelf coaching for him to be effective. His biggest selling point was his ability to succeed off script and make something out of nothing. We're certainly going to have to see that come to fruition. Now we wait.
5 total TDs against the Falcons was pretty good efficiency and he showed that ability to go off scripts and get 2 of those TDs rushing. How many times did he deliver big time throws against pressure. I agree we need to see this offense operate at high efficiency which starts with Bryce. When he does I hope the goals posts won’t shift to some other stat like QB sneaks lol

Bryce looked very good for stretches down the final 8 games. He finally showed glimpses of the guy that was projected as a top QB pick in the draft. Bryce also didn't look like a top 10 NFL QB.
He had games where he was a top 10 QB that week, vs Saints, Falcons, Eagles, Chiefs, Bucs. Amazing performances that I think show what he can do consistently. He must play with confidence to overcome physical limitations where someone like Cam can struggle all game and then win the game at the end by running someone over. Bryce won’t be that and I am fine with it, it’s time for us to move on to the new era. It’s been 5 long years.

Yea, I don't really care what PPF ratings you're trying to talk about, if you think Bryce was the 6th best QB over the final 8 weeks of the season last year, then you're out of your freaking mind.
You're probably the guy who goes to a strip club and thinks the stripper is in love with you.
The 6th best QB in the league doesn't throw for more than 251 yards only twice in that 8 week span and not even real 300 yards once, just nonsense to think otherwise, drops or WR play aside, it's just crazy talk.
Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career. You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat. By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.

So.... you're admitting he's never going to be the type of QB who can drag his team to victories on a consistent basis?
Because in today's NFL, the teams that are constant contenders have QB's who can put up those kind of games will their team to wins when needed.
If Bryce was anything near as amazing last year as the Bryce defenders try to insinuate he was, we'd either have won more games or his stats would have been better, if not both.
Yes, he showed significant improvement over the last 2 months of the season. Yes, he had a few clutch moments/throws/drives in that span too.
BUT...
It's also very much a true statement that on the whole, he was still AT BEST an average QB during that time period.
And for a QB who was touted as being a PG who can get wins without elite talent around him because of how he sees the game, that's just not good enough, sorry.
And none of that is to say he can't do that this year, especially after we gave him a weapon like T-Mac and hopefully an improved XL and Coker. But stop trying to say he was this amazing QB to end the year who has proven he can (and should) be considered a long term solution as a franchise QB, as it's just not true.
Let it go man. Bryce was literally THE reason we were even competitive in the second half of the season. He made some big time throws despite the lack of stats he finally passed the eye test and made plays. Stop hijacking every thread with this crap

Haha people here act like we haven’t wished for this type of QB play since 2018. We would have cut off our arms for a Purdy. Such a weird fanbase that never knows what it wants. I remember when many complained when Cam got his second contract lol

Player Led culture vs Staff Led
in Carolina Panthers
Posted
It's both. Has to come from top down - but you need those players who are locker room leaders to "buy in" so the culture can self sustain
