    Ye of little faith.....

I have confidence in the Canes FO and coaching staff.  I will miss Burnsy, but it was probably the right decision.  He lost a step and a half last year for sure.

SJ overpaid Orlov who never really fit here, which I found odd but whatever.

We have cap space, some movable parts, and some young guys in the system who may surprise.  I like where we are....just gotta beat Florida!

SJ overpaid because they have to hit the cap floor.

Burns played well in the Washington and FL series, but overall did not look good last year. Colorado is a good place for him to be a 3rd line LD, which is what he probably should have been for us

Looking back on the 2023 QB class and the Panthers absolutely made the right choice jumping up to #1. Only Bryce and CJ have showed any promise.

Whether or not they chose the right one of the two, we'll have to "wait and see."

I think most people figured that would be the case. Colts got suckered into ARs athleticism when the dude is just an awful decision maker. Not surprised he is looking like the next JaMarcus Russell

The irony, Richardson was the most physically gifted specimen in the draft and scouts thought he could take NFL hits, now he is an injury prone QB. Bryce Young was the smallest QB and there were concerns how long he would last in the NFL. Now Bryce has been more durable than Richardson.

Even at his worst - the one thing Bryce did a great job of was avoiding big hits. When he scrambles, he's very smart about getting out of bounds/going down at the right time

It’s clear as day why we lost. The series best players were floridas. By 8 people before you get to Aho. And the worst 9 were all canes players. Worst being Orlov.

I mean... Pretty sure Morrow being on the ice alone accounted for a lot of Florida's +. Throw in orlovs terrible turnovers and there's about half of the goals Florida scored just between the two of them.

  5. Ideal lineup for next year for me:

    Jarvy-Aho-Ehlers (5 yr, 8.25 mill AAV)

    Svech-Duchene-Hall (2 yr, 6 mill AAV)

    Stank-Staal-Marty

    Blake-Kotkaniemi/Jankowski*-Carrier

*Would love it if we could somehow get out of KK's contract (even if we have to trade away a draft pick), but don't think we will

    Slavin-Provorov (6 yr, 7.25 mill AAV)

    Nikishin-Chatty

    Ghost-Walker

    Freddie

    Kooch

Luckily we have our core 4 (Aho, Jarvy, Svech, Slavin) locked up long-term. We definitely need to start thinking about extensions for Stank and Chatty and likely Blake if he is in our future plans.

We can't do much worse than KK as the C of the 2nd PP unit.  Literally 1 point all season.  How?

And he has been our 2nd line C for most of the playoffs when the guy probably isn't good enough to be a 4th line C. We truly need a top-tier C to be 2nd line C.

Probably more likely to see this next season. With them focusing on signing three forwards.

    Slavin Walker

    Nikishin Chatfield

    Morrow Ghosty

Got to remember that Nikishin, Morrow, Blake and Stankoven will all be RFA in 26.

I don't think we are having Morrow start in our top 6 next year unless free agency goes truly awful for us. Our front office (or at least Rod) would rather have Burns than Morrow

Luckily we won't have orlov on this team next year. If we do keep burns, he needs to not be on the top line (although he did play a very good game four and five in the series).

We have to get second line scoring and at least another top 4 D in the off season. Wouldn't mind getting Provorov and our defense looking like this - I know he is a LD, but he is a lefty.

    Slavin-Nikishin

    Burns-Provorov

    Ghost-Walker

Forwards will be tougher because we desperately need a top six C, but it would be really nice to get Ehlers.

    Slavin-Nikishin

    Provorov-Chatty

    Ghost-Walker

    Don't resign burns

Lol bro I came in here and 0 and 2, saying how bad the panthers were playing, the homeboy started bringing up dicks.

The better question is why are you here? You literally only exist to talk crap about Carolina pro teams. Very weird with how much of a small market we are

Canes are literally doing again what happened last year. Defensive breakdown.

Last year was much more inexcusable. I'm not surprised we are having defensive breakdowns when we have defensive liabilities at half of our defense positions (orlov, ghost, Morrow) and are having to play slavin and burns like 30ish minutes in these games. This series was definitely over once Chatty couldn't play (and probably would have still been even if he was 100% healthy)
