didnt mention earlier, but interesting to see Renfrow returning punts. Im guessing hes making a pitch to stick when Coker Comes back since his lack of Special Teams ability was kind of a knock. -

I had a feelin about it too -
I like our chances, but it depends, we CANNOT start with turnovers like we did in all but 1 game this year. In fact, if we avoid turnovers I like our chances. I think key for the panthers will be stopping the run. Dak in the past has been prone to mistakes when his run game gets shut down in the past, so if our run defense continues its upward trajectory, you stop williams, get Dak to pass and force mistakes. On offense, Run. just run the ball, the Cowboys defense is not good, they arent good against the run, they arent good against the pass, they are a defense we can exploit. Run game will open up pass game and you'll see a more efficient bryce young. Panthers 30/Cowboys 24

Moerig legit shined in the scheme. him a Buffalo Nickel is a good 2fer because it provides some extra size to compete against the run. Would like to see Moerig stick with the buffalo nickel position, on nickel packages, and have Ransom and Richardson on the backend (nick scott is trash).

All of this I agree with but there is still a fact that remains that his PHYSICAL weaknesses are still the same physical weaknesses that Bryce has. I literally said in the second part of my post that I dont think he'll turn the corner because he DOESNT have the fire and passion that Brees had/has which goes to exactly what you said in the bryce falling apart mentally. That said on sheer look, if you go and watch the highlights of Brees from San Diego, they look a lot like the highlights of Bryce. Summation, does he possess a lot of the physical traits and even some of the mental traits that Brees had? Sure. Will he get there? I highly doubt it because it appears he spends too much time watching netflix and not enough time fixing the things he needs to improve on (IE sliding, deep ball, and Footwork).

In fairness, early drew brees is similar to early bryce. Watch his highlights from San diego, you'll see a lot of stuff 10-20 yards, not many deep passes, efficient but not elite. It all changed when he got to New Orleans with Sean Payton. Fwiw, I don't think it'll happen and it's because brees was FAR MORE of a fiery competitor than bryce. Brees would talk poo, he'd hype the huddle, and he rallied the guys a d part of that drive helps motivate himself to elevate his game. Bryce is too much of a "oh shucks...well get em next time" guy.

Im fine with this, I want the guys determined. People are only critical because we've been ass for so long. We loved the fire of players wanting stuff like this when we were good. This is Cam Newton from the atlanta game back in 2017. Its ok for the coach to hear the players passion and let them take charge. It works 2 ways, it lets players take ownership over the team, makes them FULLY responsible for their actions, but flipside, if it goes wrong, next time it happens, the coach will just go "remember that time". Its just like any business at that point. If you want employees to work hard, they need to feel invested in the product and just like that its good that the team feels like they have a stake in the game.

I said this on Twitter responding to someone, they were like "well, how do you propose making offensive line weakness better" and I just answered, its simple. Run. The. Ball. Grinding the ball running is simple. Passing game can require a lot of thinking, blocking schemes and such. If you dedicate to run game, it simplifies the O-line assignments, hat on a hat. See man, hit man. It will flow off of that, if you establish that run game it makes the playaction more effective, it makes them more hesitant to focus on pass rush. Run the ball.

Why is Canalas so pass happy?
Carolina Cajun replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
the runs happened AFTER bryces mistakes. We need to grind more early. That drive to set up the XL td, it was all run, it was us imposing our will and simplifying the playbook for the O-line. See man, hit man, the end. Next play, same. -

he legit couldnt see. The replay showed him literally on his tippy toes. Its over, Bryce is NOT an NFL QB. Unless he finds a way to get 2-3 inches taller, its over, period. -

I dunno if its happened in the modern NFL, but I'll be interested to see if we can break a record and be down 3 scores at half in 4 of our first 5 games. -
