Super overlooked aspect. That bog YAC catch for tmac early was such a big play by the rookie. The pass was high and away, and if he doesn't catch or atleast get his hands on it, it's being fired right at the safety.

I compare this team to 2013 panthers. same thing, hard win, 28-24
-
I think thats the more likely answer, they wanted to have him focus on that role most likely. The more you diversify his route tree the more complicated it gets for a rookie, but I think him doing it so well this week has shown that he absolutely can get and excel at that. look for a lot more going forward.

NFL=Not for Long. We will see, Kyle Allen had a super hot stretch with us, remember him compared to brady. Does he finish the season well. I do think as long as he doesnt completely implode (which...sadly with his past play is possible) hes guaranteed the 5th year option, but thats all that I can say at this point.

So yes, him having his best game as a pro was a big part, but besides that him doing it while injured, while coming back into the game is a big difference. Yea he has come back and played in games when injured...but he also in those cases have come back in and stunk up the joint like so many times he has in the past and THAT is what makes it different.

I HAD AN IDEA...what if the coaches just ya know lie to him. "hey bryce...yea I know the logos on the team we're playing look like SF...but its ACTUALLY the Falcons...the San Francisco falcons". Every week, rinse and repeat.
-
his big flaw in durability is he HAS to learn to slide. Go take little league base sliding lessons if needed because one day one of those awkward dives is gonna get him knocked out.

yesterday was finally the day I've waited for. He became the leader. He was given a Captain patch from the day he walked in the building even with him NEVER having done anything. Yea he did the right things, he high fived everyone as they came off the field, he was a supportive guy but that doesnt make you a leader. Those a good qualities for a leader, but that doesnt make you a leader. Yesterday, coming out with a reaggravation of that ankle injury, then coming back in and delivering THAT performance WHILE injured...thats the kind of thing that elevates the play of those around them and THATS what a leader does. Its the stuff Cam did constantly. You saw him run over 2-3 guys get banged up then get right back in the huddle and go, and that elevates the people around you. When Bryce is going out and performing at a high level while injured, guys go "I will be willing to take that shot across the middle" or "I will fight for that extra yard". For the first time in the Bryce Young era, he became the leader he has to be for the team to win.

To me, and this is just my belief, DB and others got in his ear and were like nah, I dont care what it takes to win, the end.

how many windows did you have to lick before making such a moronic post? he came back in yes, but im pretty fuging sure he wouldnt have as immobile as he was if he hadnt had some Neanderthal dip ship step on his foot. jesus christ, even a doorknob has more going on upstairs than this god awful take.

I never, NEVER talk about this because its usually the same "rah rah" bullshit. "hey guys, this guy did this" and "this guy did that". Most of the time its just trash that no one really cares about....but there was something VERY different today. "THIS IS YOUR TEAM!" "I tried to mess it up for you a couple times". Those are the words of a GROWING coach and someone winning over the locker room. Whether we like it or not, this team has rallied around him and our core. Not sure what the rest of the season holds, but for the first time since the team bought in on Wilks, it feels like the team believes we're building something

I almost completely agree...but the loss of Trev was absolutely seen early in the game. Cherelus and Boom showed great instinct but Trev calling the plays makes the defense, ESPECIALLY against the run very tough.

jesus christ, stop. Zavala was dog poo and Corbett should be playing at guard, I AGREE...THAT SAID, O-line depth is super hard to come by and he IS NFL backup level. He isnt good, he WILL NEVER start, but you cant fill all spots even backups with starters especially at the hardest and thinnest position available in the NFL. he deserves to be on our roster, hes pushed into starting and thats the problem.

best game of his career, by a mile. no garbage time stat padding and on top of that fought through injury. The pissed off bryce from post game seemed like he was on the field. Im hoping this was a wake up and he now understands what he has to do EVERY WEEK to win in the NFL.
