idk how technical or in the weeds these hc interview get, but it would be super interesting if Canales broke down why Baker did not work here and what he did in Tampa to make him effective. I think that would go a long way with Tepp

Where was this energy for Bosa last night?

Highest paid defensive player in NFL history was basically a no show. He had a down year yet nobody is saying anything. Did he get the bag and take a step back?

I get Burns hate, but to act like other players aren't living up to their contracts isn't fair.

Last I checked Bosa doesn’t play for us

All your points are valid, sad part it would be a great job, if not for Tepper. A little concerned agents may contact Frank, as bad a job he did here, he is respected in the league. Combine that with videos of Tepper highjacking the Bryce draft pick press conference talking about Bryce as a point guard while Frank and Scott were over in the corner. Can you imagine a top notch coach thinking how much it had to suck sitting there in that situation.

Without a doubt, 100%, no questions asked, Tepper is the worst part of this job. Will be the biggest hurdle by far

The D is solid. I was saying that two of his specific selling points aren't selling points. Now he wants to accuse me of lack of reading comprehension evidently pretending like he didn't mention those two specific selling points.

    lmao never change dude.

You made good points in your post. All good points. I also think our team isn’t as undesirable as some people think.

Yeah I'm not gonna lie and say we have an amazing opening.... any coach has work cut out for him here. but it definitely is not as bad some like to make it out.

When a guy who spends more time on the injury list than on the field and one of the statistically worst QBs in the NFL are part of your key selling points... well, that pretty much says it all.

Not sure if you lack all reading comprehension, blinded by Bryce hate, trolling, or a combo of all 3.

The only, and I literally mean only thing we can offer over other teams is compensation.

Not sure why people say this, it isn't true. Young defense with a star DL and star CB (when healthy) + a ton of cap space + super cheap QB who is a wild card and you aren't tied to if it doesn't work out. Each team has different things going for them (and against them), these are ours.

This. Absolutely insane. Now, if they said no and our team is to embarrassed to put that out there, thats one thing, but I still think they should let it be known so they don’t get anymore of a bad rep. You’re not gonna try for the three best coaches available, ones that would do what rappaport said Tepper wanted…cmon

Idk seems pretty obvious we are not targeting a long tenured retread. Not saying it’s the right move but seems we have a plan and the advisory board is driving that and not wavering from it.

  9. I can’t watch the videos for some reason, but my question is. How does his philosophy rank against Franks? It seems very different just hearing about motion, iso, getting your guys in space vs just sitting in shotgun and being stationary pre snap

Can't wait til this dude hires another Boomer retread. That will be the final nail in the coffin for this club.

he wont. Tepper goes extremes. College coach who never has sniffed the NFL to retread NFL coach who has been around for 30 years. I'm fully expecting a WNBA assistant coach to get the job

There really could be three new openings (Steelers, Cowboys, Eagles) man that would be BRUTAL for us

Could be a blessing in disguise. Whoever Tepper wants to hire #1 is going to be the wrong guy based on track record. Pushing down to his 3rd or 4th option could be good

  12. Man.... When 4 of your 5 worst players started at G and the 5th was one of your supposed big offseason playmaking signings.... Plus one of the OL in the top 5 is a bit questionable.... Just no chance for anyone to succeed on offense this year.

Defense is super encouraging. If Jaycee somehow gets the injury bug out of his system, we have a very solid core of young guys to build around. Think Xavier is the oldest on that list and he's only like 28

He has a show cause right?

Probably lol not sure if that is indefinite or runs out after 10 years or something. CFB is so different than 2009 anyway I’m sure Alabama could figure it out

  14. kind of wild if you think about it how unlikely 2 things had to happen for the Bucs to make the playoffs 1) Panthers kicker gets injured and we don't have anyone worth a poo 2) WR has a clear TD that scores 99.9999% of the time and fumbles on the half inch line. this season sucked but we had to have gotten some of the bad luck out for the foreseeable future

If he stays on next year we will get a 3rd round pick from the NFL.  He will be under our control unless the new HC/GM specifically say they do not want to work with him.  If we had kept Thomas Brown for another year we would have been given 2 3rd round picks.

If another team wants him they will have to give up at least a 3rd round pick.  If I were in charge that is how I'd handle the situation at THIS CURRENT TIME.  Could change over the coming weeks.

Yep 100% agree. I like Evero a lot (and hope he is our DC next year) but I am glad we're not giving up a potential third round pick just because we want to make everyone happy. Fug that, you're under contract, we want you back, and we get a potential 3rd in a year. Why in the world would we just let him walk to JAX?

You can't ditch Moton, in any scenario.  The restructure we did with him killed it.  We still owe the guy 24 million guaranteed, plus his salary.

If we do anything (cut or trade) with him before June 1, it's a 24 million hit to our cap this year.  Do anything after June 1 and it's 12 this year and 12 next.

It's just not a good move.

Fair enough, had no idea what his contract looked like when I wrote that. I’m all for keeping him
