The sad thing is it was a drop. Watch it again. It didn't get deflected, it hit him in the hands untouched.
Yes he could have come down with it the way he tried to cradle. Dude just makes things so much harder on himself, just use your hands and go GET the ball vs waiting on the ball. You get coached this non stop starting in middle school

The games over already. We could score another 21 and lose.

I know there's a lot of injuries but even before that I was kinda losing confidence in Evero.
Definitely wouldn't mind giving Robert Saleh a shot.
If Saleh would come here tepper should hand him a blank check

So is Penix going to be a thorn in our side for the next decade?
Maybe but he’s played the Giants and statistically one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL in us

11/14 for 106, a td, and 122 rating... Complete garbage
2 TDs, no matter what the huddle tells me

That's probably not a good thing for a guy who's older than the average rookie.
Oh wow I didn’t realize but just looked it up. Bryce is a full year younger than Pennix

Thielen has been great for us but he's not the guy I'm drawing up screens for. YAC ain't his game.
I don’t understand it at all. XL is the guy you drafted for that exact situation + he is having trouble catching downfield this year. Draw up easy screens for him and let him use his athleticism

The reason why nobody takes you bryce backers seriously is this right here. Yall still REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE he was horrible HIMSELF. Still passing off his bad play on everybody else even when he continued it 2 games into this year. Speaking out against this constant rhetoric has nothing to do with being bias and it damn sure is not a conclusion anybody was wrong or right about bryce. He still has a ways to go to prove what he was worth. Bad roster or not.
Huh? You can go search my history bro. I was very vocal Bryce was done here and would never play another snap for the Panthers. Difference between me and you is I don’t have pretend I’m right for fake internet points and have changed my stance based on what is in front of my face every Sunday. So no, you’re just saying stuff now that is factually incorrect (at least for me who you were replying to).
feel free to try again

Why are you guys so focused on Bryce. He's not a top 10 QB we know this. Even being a top 10 QB doesn't guarantee you team success look at Burrow.
This idea that Bryce can win games with this roster isn't realistic. He proved he can keep us in games with a limited roster. Isn't that enough to show you something?
My goodness people we have other holes on this roster. It doesn't matter if Bryce was a top 5 QB he doesn't have much talent around him. We need to focus on other things other than how our QB is not the elite of the elite.
This is what I can’t follow. Nobody is saying right now Bryce is going to carry a bad roster to the playoffs (nobody can besides Tom Brady, look at the Bengals with 2 great WRs). We’re saying stop being overly emotional and so stuck to your perceived biases and having to show everyone you actually werent wrong, and take Bryce’s play at face value. Which is very clearly a young guy who had a horrible situation around him his rookie year and has made an exponential leap and we want to see what year 3 looks like.

It’s just deceptive to list total TDs and then list an inaccurate INT #. You would need to list total TDs and total turnovers. Initial breakdown also made sure to not include basic QB stats like comp % because Bryce is well below league average.
even a cherry picked Bryce is below average. Which is fine if you view this as his rookie season. Problem is some argue silly stuff like Bryce is playing like a top QB
If you read any of the first few pages the accurate numbers were very quickly posted and are what is being discussed in page 10 of this thread.
It’s also insane to act like Bryce’s rushing touchdowns don’t count, like a poster tried to argue, because he isn’t your prototypical rushing QB.

Oh you've already forgotten your 3rd best RB in the division remark? 8th in the NFL in rushing yards with an anemic at best passing offense all season.
Why are you allowed to take whatever hypothetical leaps you want when it comes to Bryce but if someone else does it they are putting other players down? You literally were in here earlier pooing on how we can’t pay anyone because we had to put all our money in the OL for Young. So for Young that’s a huge negative that hurts the team, but yet you take Chubbas benefit of a great OL to try to prove a point. You’re talking in circles but will then try to respond playing it down on how your specific scenario is different and valid while putting others down for taking the same liberties.
also, yes Chubba would be behind Kamara and Bijan. How is that even a negative remark? All 3 are good.

Why can't multiple things be true at the same time?
Every qb needs help. Mahomes had no elite wr and has looked pedestrian this year. Stroud had no o line and hasn't looked as good. Brees had a great o line and some stud wr. Qbs need help.
Young has improved. This gives some people hope and optimism and they have found stats to quantify what they have seen with their own eyes.
Some people will not like Bryce no matter what he does. He could walk on water ( why can't he run? Too short???) Turn water into wine ( ugh who likes wine. Turn it into beer short stuff) and resurrect ( psh why did he die in the first place) and they still wouldn't be happy.
Some people choose optimism over misery. Some people don't.
It is what it is
To me Bryce has improved. I am optimistic. He has had some rough spots ( dallas) but he has bounced back and has passed the eye test. He has a great o line. He does not have an elite wr. But I am optimistic both the qb and wr will improve
The most reasonable post I’ve read in years on here

Why combine passing and rushing yards and touchdowns like he's Cam Newton?
What does this even mean? A rushing TD is worth 6 points if it’s Cam Newton, Lamar Jackson, Bryce Young, 2015 Peyton Manning.

lol didn’t have to go far on that thread to find someone bashing the huddle

I don’t think we should draft one this year but the notion that you can just get plug and play RBs in UDFA is comical. The devaluation of the RB position is way overblown at this point.
