18 is inevitable, not sure about the international requirement quite yet until the NFL breaks into asian markets. Get rid of preseason completely

We were probably 1 pass rusher away from advancing in the playoffs this year..
We also have 1 more cheap year on BY's contract. This is the year to spend.
So we need someone.. (please no more Viking players...)
I think this place is jaded from Fitt's headscratching contracts and decisions, which is fair. Dan has done a good job so far of keeping the FA contracts to 2 years and then a favorable out for the team. I agree, spend a lot of money this FA and do not give up draft picks. We've waited too long in the "rebuild" stage to not take a big swing this upcoming year. If it doesn't work, we can do a reset next offseason and get a lot of our older players off the payroll in 27/28 fairly easily. I hope we spend $70M this offseason while not trading away any draft capital.

How does anyone still not know how to activate an ad blocker?
It would be more reasonable for Igo to upgrade the board with some well overdue and needed updates

25M for him feels crazy cheap. I’d pay that for 2 years

Why were people so upset about us extending Moton? I remember people were pissed around here when we did

Bryce has never had what CJ had in any of his 3 years. Just this year best defense we've seen in a while + Nico Collins. We will never know for sure, but it damn well seems Bryce can do more with less.

This defense is insane

They ran the ball to get down there and he’s not calling the offense. If you can’t execute that play right there the only move left is to bench stroud.
He doesn’t call the play, but you have to tell your OC not to put critical third downs in Stroud hand. But agree I’d have Mills in by now.

What a moronic play call. Another one that could've been picked.
Yeah Ryan’s not adjusting is bizarre. You can do the coach speak and say you fully trust your guy but damn man you gotta adapt here

He looks worse than Bryce the first 2 games of 2024 which is the most mentally broken I’ve ever seen a QB before today.

This is insane. Mills literally wins them this game something like 22-17. Will Ryan’s make the move?

I don’t think I realized I was a hater until now but it’s kinda satisfying seeing CJ get worse every year he’s been in the league. Him and Bryce are gonna intersect on the X/Y at this point next year
-
There's an alternate universe out there where Raiders hire him, we get 2 third round comps, Tepp writes Tomlin a $10M check (2-3x Dave's salary lol) and we win the Super Bowl in 2028
-
This one sucks because for what we got, terrible trade. For what we had (2 1st round) and didn't do, terrible trade. Fitterer really was just horrendous its insane looking back.

If everyone agrees on everything all the time in a football forum, then that should tell you something. If people have varying degrees of disagreement and are constantly going back and forth, presenting statistics, information and knowledge based upon experience and the experience of those who are NFL types, that should tell you something also. Being a fan is not necessarily just about mindless cheerleading, although some fans do that.
100% agree. That is also very different than objectivity.

I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion
I just spit out my coffee. Holy poo.

Evero could be a better hc than he is a dc. I don't think he's a very good dc unless his talent is a perfect fit for the scheme. No one else may be willing to take the Raiders job
I feel like the Raiders job is top 3 opening. Mendoza, Crosby, Bowers, Jeanty and 100M in cap space to spend

He had a great game and AGAIN (GB 2023, ATL 2024, LAR 2025) did enough to give me a ton of hope going into the next year. His fault is inconsistency. People are stuck in 2019 thinking if you don't throw for 300 a game your QB sucks. I want 235 a game, 2.5:1 ratio (rushing/fumble included), 66-67% completion, and win the NFC South next year with a winning record. Do that and I would give him the extension, miss those and I have serious questions and look at moving on for 2028. Bryce is inconsistent, but has shown he can do it. I have serious doubts he can do it for 17 games.
Also, holy poo how can I stop getting a massive full screen pop up of a fuggin McGriddle sandwich every time I do anything on this god forsaken website
-
Sweet. Do that this next year too and we’re really cooking

Well it depends on the price, if he's willing to get paid like the 20th best QB, I'm fine with a long term contract lol. But if he wants top 10 or 15 money, nope.
I’d be thrilled with 10-15. It’s top 5 I say absolutely no to

My realistic, later-round crush is Mateer. Had a bad season, but his skill set is there. I am also intrigued by the Jim McMahon of this century, the QB from Vandy. I am too lazy to look his name up, but he is a controversial, scrappy dude.
Pavia? He’s Manziel off the field without Manziel on the field. Do like Mateer. I think Nussmier could be our pick if he’s there with one of our 4ths
-
That guy is horrible id be pissed if we wasted a draft pick on him. Lot of good mid/late round QBs in this draft we should look at and take one

18 game season plus all teams doing 1 intl
in Carolina Panthers

Agreed. If you do an international trip requirement we need to find a way to give a bye after that as well. If you need to extend the season then do it
