Gave up both 5s? is that right? If so, great deal, got a 2nd for free next year and still got the guy we wanted anyway (think it was always RB)

CB will not be there at 52
Think we've already tipped our hand for RB or TE at 52. A good one will be there at 52, so may as well get the 2nd next year for free if the Rams are gonna be that dumb

okay nvmd, sorry I doubted you Morgan. getting their 2nd next year when we don't have one is elite for moving back only 13 spots... damn Morgan I'm impressed. also does make me think we are going RB in the 2nd.

Wow. kinda hate that with who is on the board but ok

Looks like Dan Morgan made the right call trading up and got ahead of the run on WR.
yeah it's just impossible to know. all the ones throwing tantrums about it have no idea. we could have had good reason to believe others were trying to trade into buffalo's pick as well.

Adonai skipped over again. It's the lack of dawg, I'm telling you.
I'm proud of us for not taking him. feels like Fitt would have

Damn that atl pick haunts me of some of the gettleman ones. sucks for them

Interesting. I don’t love it but I can see Morgan’s vision. Absolutely without a doubt know if Bryce is your guy by this thanksgiving by setting him up for success. Defense can get built through FA and over the next couple years, this season is all about knowing on Bryce

Canales is smart based on what exactly? He talks a smooth game but dude has one year as a coordinator, and it's not like the moves made this offseason required any kind of high intelligence to predict. He could turn out to be good but the story has yet to be written on him as a head coach and any related aspects.
Imo you become an NFL HC at 42 for 2 reasons: you're a smart guy who is good at your job or nepotism. Now he could definitely fail at this level, I am not blindly saying he is going to be a great NFL HC, but I think it's fair assumption to say he has proven himself as a pretty smart dude who understands football, up to this point in his career.. which is all we have to base on.

I wonder what’s wrong with Mingo. We basically gave up on him.
I don't think so, Canales is a smart dude. Everything on the offensive side for young players got thrown out the window. Offensive vets who don't fit his scheme and you know what they can do were moved. I think Mingo get's a fresh start (as he should) along with everyone else remaining from last year's offense.

Of ESPNs top 17 overall, only FOUR are not a corner or WR.
So def can get 1 of those 13 at 33 and probably another at 39

I would be shocked if he makes it past Dallas.
For some reason Worthy seems like a Dallas pick to me. Or Thomas

I don’t think he makes it but if Barton drops to 33 I could see him being the pick

Good god I hope we don’t go CB with us having the pick of the defensive players.
said it when Horn was drafted. CB’s are luxury picks, when you have everything else wrapped up. Not defensive foundation players.
Gotta disagree there. Not even sure how you could get to that conclusion? Modern NFL you need 3 CBs who can actually play. Right now we have 1 glassman and 1 geriatric

Wow pick 14 and still no defensive guys. I really think it’s gonna be CB or DE at 33
-
Crazy value at 33. There will be 3-5 round 1 grade prospects left for us to choose

Has a 1st round TE ever worked out?
People say Kyle Pitts a bust and I think that’s dumb. 1000 yards as a rookie, has never had a NFL caliber QB. That’s my answer at least

Anyway. We’re through 11 players and still no defensive guys, 5 QBs, and Nix most likely is going in the first. At least 8 defensive players will be taken and another 2 OT. This is setting up great for us to go BPA at #33 in WR/LB/C/DE

Guys, I think the Falcon was a head scratcher. But, they've got Penix for 5 years if they pick up the option. Maybe ATL feels Cousins only has 2-3 top years left and when they move on they'll have a potential franchise guy on the roster to take over with 2 -3 left on his rookie deal.
Let's forget the GB selected Aaron Rodgers when Favre was still playing at a high level and let him sit for 3 seasons.
I think they know they tampered and will be losing their 1st next year. Grab your future dude while you have the chance. Who knows what 2026 looks like

2024 NFL Draft: Rounds 2 & 3
in Carolina Panthers

This is awesome. Added 2 legit playmakers, one being the best RB in this draft, and somehow got a 2nd round pick for next year. I don't know how anyone can look at this holistically and not be happy
