Dallas is just a better team all around.
Unfortunately this is probably 26 of 32 teams. Gotta find a way to win at home

Alright, BY9 fumble the next drive then he’s got his 2 early TOs done and can be Tom Brady

Here we go again, Bust Young with yet ANOTHER 1st Q pick. He will fall apart again until half-time.
You’re just watching the play by play on the ESPN app aren’t you. No way you’re watching the game

Are we worried about Tets hands yet?
Not yet but getting there….

You can't say things like that around here. Bryce bad, if you want to fit in.
There’s like 4 people on here who don’t know ball but are extremely vocal. Week after week after week after….

Wow Scott saving a TD. Look at that

Good drive, killed once Bryce tries to pass. Bust is the weak link.
It was the right play call, XL was wide open. Just didn’t hold up long enough to get it there

Bizarre giving to Dallas there. Good opening drive minus that play call at the end. Evans looks legit, DM may have killed this draft.
-
Another week for XL to shut us up. Hope he balls out again. And for the love of god get TMac a TD
-
Sucks but to be expected. Wouldn’t shocked if it isn’t until Bills

Honest question as I don’t know. Do journalists usually know these kind of things? Like for example you have a list of questions you’d ask and if you’re going to ask about family do you research them first? This really doesn’t seem like he did anything wrong but maybe journalists are expected to know these things

I said in the lead up to the draft that I’d take Cam in the 3rd or the 4th. Cam was a man amongst boys against Texas and in every other game I watched at Arizona State. I wanted to pair him up with Chubba and run the ball 35 times a game.
so here would have been my choices: Tyler Warren, Nic Scourton, Cam Skattebo, DE, LB, WR
Turns out that Warren is pretty darn good, Skattebo is going to have 15 touchdowns this year, and Scourton is going to be one of the best rookie defensive players in the league this season.
I always thought taking Tet was a luxury pick because while receiver is important, Tet is a complementary piece to what Bryce does well, not the main course. A tight end like Warren and a back like Cam would have opened a whole new world up for both Dave and Bryce.
But here we are. Apparently the Front Office doesn’t read my posts because if they did, we would be a very good football team right now.
Maybe but Bryce and Daniel Jones are about as opposite QBs you can get and Steichen Canales pretty different scheme. Warren would be good anywhere but I don’t think he could drop into our team and necessarily have the same production. Regardless, locking down a stud #1 WR is never a bad thing.

Yeah, but people around here like to have that revisionist eye and act like they knew Brooks would get re-injured and never make it to the field.
A lot easier to call the draft from a year past it versus a month before it, folks.
It’s the huddle fallacy lol

This place would have melted, rightfully so, if we took him at 77 or traded up from 114 to take him. For all we know he may have been the guy over Etienne if there

define successful because that midget will not be in the league in 3 years
NFL starter that is not shipped around randomly every mid season (Flacco, Pickett, etc.)

Thinks he knows better than his coaches, and is gonna do it his way.
That backpedaling on his toes stuff…. ballerina of Mint St
I think he just is immature and doesn’t put in the work in the offseason. We somewhat know this from the YouTube comment in 2024 summer. Dude just doesn’t seem to have the fire that makes the greats.

Are you really comparing QB numbers 20+ years apart?
We are in the age of the offense where QBs are putting up historic numbers and the NFL is continuously changing its rules to cater more towards explosive offense. It has allowed guys like Brees, Rogers, Stafford, Brady etc to play well into their late 30s and even their 40s.
I don’t even want to imagine what Bryce would look like playing in the early 2000s NFL.
Look I’m not agreeing with OP even though I do think we move off Bryce this year and he ends up successful elsewhere because we are the Panthers, but it is not 2019 anymore. That 5 year run is over, we are past the golden age of QB stats.

Brandt Tillis is the difference between last year’s draft and this one.
What is his role in evaluating talent? I honestly don’t know. Is he the big PFF guy? I know he does the salaries

I think he did. It has the potential to be a historically productive draft relative to our franchise.
And you have the dubious top 2 selections in 2024, but also Mike Jackson, CSW, Sanders, maybe even Wallace.
He didn't have his system in place that first draft because of Scott getting fired after the season so I give him a pass for 2024 even tho jury is still out on XL and it's a longshot but Brooks looked pretty good in his 10 snaps last year, it's possible with modern medicine he is still a good player.

Lot of rookies on this list. Dan may have cooked

Dowdle is not Chubba I wouldn’t look at it that way. Dowdle is more of a HR threat, he won’t will you 4 yards every play like Chuba does but he’s way more likely to break one which is exactly what he did and his game.

I'm optimistic about the rookies from this years draft class. For all the talk of us not having talent when it's convenient it's crazy what can happen when the team actually gains some confidence and has an offense that rewards the efforts of the defense.
Both things are true. This is a pretty overall bottom 3 talent roster except for our 4 key players and also the rookies are getting better each week and need to take lumps now because they are showing promise.
