This is why we have been hearing about Queen today.  Frankie is nearly 4 years older than Queen.

Man if we got Patrick Queen I could quickly go from being upset over this to pretty happy

We are making cuts that seem to have nothing to do with the cap.  Bozeman, Bell, Hurst....

they're long term. they all have 2025 big savings, seems this year they are going for seeing if Bryce is the guy then making some big moves in 2025

    He was RG.

    Moton is not going anywhere.

    Ickey-?-?-Hunt-Moton

    Protect Bryce.

would imagine that is BC at LG, and a FA or #33 at C... I don't hate it assuming Ickey can get his poo together this year

Yup, $19M freed up for 2025 by cutting Bozeman, Bell and Hurst.

So we 100% need 2024 front loaded FA for 2 of the 3: C, G, WR... Assuming we draft 1 of those 3 positions at 33. Will be interesting to see what we do over the next week.

  5. Something about the huddle website just destroys my CPU on both my PC running chrome and my Mac running Safari. Same thing also on iOS Safari. Does anyone else have this issue, and if so is there an easy fix? I already have an adblocker but it still uses a crazy amount of CPU specifically only to this website. Any suggestions?

His play was always streaky, even last year where it was just better than his normal. He can get a team into the playoffs if they run heavy where he will have some good games and some dud games. At this point it looks like he has mellowed his attitude after the stuff he has been through which is great for him. But he isn't the answer if you are talking more than a playoff birth.

Going away from Canales is just a question of them following that mold, run first and heavy, or putting more on Baker? The first works and even Wilks did that before Canales with him and Darnold. I suspect the second one will always end in failure for Baker. Canales is unquestionably a good QB coach but Baker was also older and ready to listen. If he doesn't put his head up his own butt again he should have a solid rest of his career...if he keeps that run game going.

Bucs had the worst run game in the league last year. I know that because I remember being happy when we hired Canales but having some real concern about that

26 mil a year take it or leave it

I was here a month ago, I’d go 28 with the cap increase. I just think he’s gonna be hard headed and try to play a card that if a DT is getting 31 he should get at least 30

The way their QB is always getting hurt it makes sense to get Jones.

Didn’t he not miss a start from like HS through 55 first NFL starts? I think he just had an unlucky run there at the end last season

I think 5 years, $27m per is fair value, if not a slight overpay. Burns can negotiate with other teams under this tag, so let's see what the rest of the league is willing to pay him...

with the cap increase, that's a very solid deal for both sides.

But why kick the can down the road? Save future cap space for when we are ready (hopefully) to sign some key FA to make a playoff run.

Using the term “kicking the can down the road” implies this is a negative that we are trying to put off. Moton is a good player. This is just us extending him and saying you’re 30 and a great RT who we want to be here long term. I really don’t see the issue here

We don't need to crate a ton of cap room this year.  We will suck.  Take the hit this season and re-work his contract or cut him in 2025.  No kicking the can down the road as Morgan said.

That’s really more of an issue with crap or aging players. I’m actually pretty good with this since Moton is most likely here long term.

  12. I like burns and with the cap increase feel pretty good about giving him 28M if he will meet there in the middle… but yeah if you can get Jamo + whatever guard/wr we take with their 29th that feels like a no brainer. There will be really good guards and WR both at 29 and 33.

we would need a DE but I’d feel better addressing that in FA for a 1-2 year guy. We have to focus on the offensive weapons and interior of the line as priority #1
