Not sure you can blame the front office there. We had 3 OL have the equivalent of season ending injuries between Hunt, BC, and Icky despite having a good unit IMO.
Now... I do blame the front office drafting RBs and old college busts (DJ) when we had more pressing needs
I think having consistency and keeping most of the unit is key to success and one reason the oline did not fall apart despite all the injuries. Was it 11 different combinations? Have to give credit to the O-line coach also.
but... an aging unit, probably mean a higher risk of injuries. So with a unit of 9 players, cant just add vets to the group. Then you probably end up with having to draft multiple players some drafts.

Brady Christensen...
Last game of 2022, broke his ankle.
First game 2023, tore his bicep week 1 and out rest of season.
Played 2024.
Played 8 games in 2025 before tearing his achilles tendon.
BC: will be 30 and have gotten season ending injuries 3 times.
Not saying he should not get a 1 year deal, but, can't rely on him being a starter.
Moton: 32, some issues.
Hunt: 30, (played 2-3 games?) injured early and ended season with a new injury.
Lewis: 29, some injuries.
Corbett: 31, some injuries.
Mays: 27, some injuries.
Nijman: 30, some injuries other season's.
Curhan: 28 (don't know)
Zavala: 27, some injuries.
Ickey: 26, could have a career ending injury.
The team need to get younger at the oline. I asked Chatgpt.com and it listed Panthers to be the 7 oldest starting line during 2025.
Even if that wouldn't be 100% correct, the combination of age and injuries should be enough to convince most that OT needs to be addressed during the 2026 draft and probably also C/OG.
Posted this earlier..
Would be interesting to see the availability for the line compared to other teams.
Oline seems to be a concern and should be addressed this off season. Not drafting any oline, even solely for depth, 2024 and 2025 was a mistake.

Honestly, they really should just make it where teams can't interview and hire coaches until after the Super Bowl. Yeah, tampering is gonna happen. That's just reality. But let the coaches still active focus on the job at hand without the distraction of formal interview processes. It would also help the league in term of extending the news cycle. The NFL is hot and heavy in the media and in football fans minds throughout the playoffs. After the Super Bowl that's basically a wrap until the draft news cycle gets into full swing. If you postpone the coach hiring cycle until after the SB concludes then you're in essence creating a whole new NFL news cycle during a historically pretty dead NFL news period. Seems like a win/win for everybody IMO.
Agree 100%.

Is it not common to wait with the announcement when the new HC is a DC or OC from one of the SB teams? Typically 2 days after super Bowl?
So, if nothing happens within a few days, there is one clear candidate that they want and Evero stays here.

Is strange all the big name refs retired in like a 2-3 year span and then it got significantly more obvious.
Ed Hochuli
Gene Steratore
Jeff Triplett
Terry McAuley
Walt Anderson
Walt Coleman
Tony Corrente
Jerome Boger
Pete Morelli
all left within the same 3-4 years.
Nothing strange with that.
Half of that list are about to hit or surpass the median American male lifespan.

Does that make retaining Christensen a priority?
With him coming back from an injury? Cheap. Ok.
People forget he was a older draft pick. He will be 30 this season. For reference, Moton will be 32.

So... LT is a new big need.
Pass rusher... LB, S. When can we take a chance on a QB.

Free agency will be interesting.

Bears Texans Super Bowl because I want bryce stans to be as shamed as possible.
You will be lumped together with them ("Bryce stans"), by Bears and Texans fans no matter your own opinion. So why give them some success.
I hope all other QBs except our future QB pick, busts.

Needed 7 yards, had 35. Doubt he thought it was at risk to lose 29 yards...

Doesn't coaches normally get hired in January? And the new year starts officially in march?
So could net compensatory picks depending on what his current and new contracts says about contract lenght and the wording of the NFL rules.

Why did they not stop the clock when BY threw the checkdown and the reciever went out of bounds? Should there not be ~30 seconds left on the clock?

It said it's possible for the NFCS to have a 3-way tie (which is correct). In this case, with ATL, TB, and us at 8-9, we'd have the tiebreaker.
If so, it means we could back into the playoffs even losing our last two games. Of course, not likely because ATL needs to win out including against the Rams, and TB would have to lose to Miami. But I'm just curious if the 3-way tiebreaker info is correct on this.
It is correct.
Head to head is the first tie break. Our two wins against Falcons is the factor that decide.
Falcons and Bucs split. And in the 8-9 scenario we split with the Bucs.
The info is easily available at NFL operations.
Think Bucs end up second. But not certain.

Could Wilson have succeeded in a better situation under better coaching? Unknown, but it's a question I find myself asking a lot.
The real question is how much do Wilson own Dax Milne and the oline for his one standout college season - making Wilson a multi-millionaire.
The fact he went nr 2 is laughable.
Neither is NFL talent.

Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.
Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.
BY as of now:
- To many fumbles
- Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable
- Not enough of a deep throw threat....
The stats you try use is deceiving.
Catchable......
That is an opinion.
Show me the completion %.
And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

So... do we get comp picks, 2x 3rds if Evero get a HC job?
His conttact expire after this season right? Do he need to sign before, hm 1 of march or whenever the new league year starts?

I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them.
As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
XL is 4 years younger... think this is Moores 8 year in the league. Wild - both being late first rounders.

Did Brees give people a heart attack every time he was sacked, thinking now the ball will come out and recoved by the other team...
Don't know how many times BY losing the ball have been saved by penalties. Feels like it might be an achievable NFL record for him.
Anyone finding his stats for losing the ball, lost, saved by penalties or recovered? Does the stat fumble include stripsack or similiar reason for the ball to come 'out' or is it just a "run stat" and not a "qb stat"??

Think this has good odds of being a nice defensive front draft coming up
Sounds good.
I also noticed the DE and DT might have been switched. Isn't Robinson more if a DE? But what about Cam Jackson, DT or DE. But I guess the front three is more fluid in reality than on paper and the DC don't like big DTs
. But 5 is still a small number.

Glad they did something.
But not sure I am glad they did this.
Could also have gotten a new OC... so...
Acknowledging there is a problem - good. The solution - !?
