Woooow??? That was holding??? Can't no one tell me the officials don't have it out for us. Hussein is doing thr same poo they always do when trying to fix a game. Every time we make a significant play, they call a penalty and keep us closer to our own goalline and allowing them to pin their ears back and play the pass.

I thought it was just a bad throw by Cam that time (as an obvious Cam guy) but on that replay Robby's route looked way sloppy and slow out of the break. Edit: Moose just clarified, half the problem was DJ effing up the timing... so makes sense Cam threw it in anticipation that if they ran their routes correctly, its wide open.

Yeah, idk what Can was looking at there, but that was his first bad throw since he's been back. It happens... but, things arent looking good early. We're down 1 in the turnover department, including a blocked punt for a TD.

Matt Rhule is looking for the fast track to get fired and looks like he found it. Fun fact: In games where a team blocks a punt, they win that game 90% of the time. Thar is a statistical fact. Also a fun fact - we lost to Philly earlier this season after blocking a punt.

Number one, as some have pointed out, there was no clear recovery in the play because they blew it dead early, but I don't understand why we don't ever get to the line and snap the ball quickly on these close plays to avoid the challenges. Thankfully it worked out for us this time and they lost a timeout, but I don't trust these refs.

When we focus defensively we can beat anyone in the league. Problem is locking in and actually doing that consistently. When we don't, tonight happens.

Seeing the struggles we have infinitely endured at the big spot since getting a basketball franchise back, this game is really tough to watch seeing what Wood is doing. And we have fuging Plumlee.

Yeah, I definitely appreciate what he's done, and always knew he could do it. And for the most part, the media has also appreciated what Cam has done, but I did catch a brief segment on our game before MNF, and boy, they must have collected all the Cam haters because Booger, Steve Young, and I can't remember who else it was uo there all poo'd his performance and essentially blamed him for the loss for "trying to run" on that last 4th down play and missing the pass on the drive before. Straight jackasses... they the made it point, especially Booger, to state they felt he wasn't a accurate or consistent passer. I was like, WTF??? Did they not see the completion percentage numbers since Norv came in here? Some people just a have a fuging axe to grind and can't ever let it go. Anyway, Cam is what I thought he would be, and that is STILL the face of the franchise and QB for the foreseeable future who can take us where we want to go.

100%. All of our issues, grumbling, bemoaning, and dissatisfaction with where we are at this season can all be traced back to those 3 or 4 games we had no business losing before Cam got here. Occasionally, a team just lays an egg. The Bills have been a media darling coming into this season, and they have had multiple games where they just didn't show up. The Titans are a well-coached team, and just had the same thing happen. The Rams are loaded and have looked like poo the last few weeks. Baltimore is a perennial playoff team and are well-managed and coached with great ownership, and they come out and lay an egg against the Dolphins last week. It happens every season, and seemingly even more so this season... That being said, in a vacuum, we can deal with a loss to Dallas where the defense saw new things and struggled a bit. We can deal with a loss this past Sunday, to Washington, where, for whatever reason, the defense just wasn't focused or locked in the entire game. Those kind of games happen... what we couldn't afford was losing to Minnesota, Philly, possibly New England, and a Giants team that was without every playmaker on offense when we played them and are so dysfunctional they just fired their OC mid-season. And all of those losses happened because we had no QB and the offense couldn't produce any semblance of a threat to score. If we win even half of those games we gave away because we didn't have a QB, where we are sitting right now looks very different. At 7-4, a loss to Washington is a write-off and just one of those bad days that happen every so often where you just learn from it and move on. At 5-6, that kind of loss is devastating. And it all could've been avoided had they never got rid of Cam in the first place.

But I don't think he's tailoring the offense to personnel. Inversely, I think he is tailoring the personnel to what he thinks a winning offense should play like, and has been trying to do so since he got here. Look at the QBs he brought in. Those were his guys. I have watched every post game presser and most Monday pressers this season, and Rhule has repeatedly said winning football is controlling the line of scrimmage and running the ball. He has specifically stated and emphasized the "running the ball" part. Pair those ideals with who he believed could quarterback the offense and it's clear he wants to rely on the defense while minimizing mistakes and controlling the clock on offense, regardless of what other personnel we field. Teddy was always a game manager. Sam's best case-scenario was a game manager. And that's why I believe he didn't want Cam but was forced to bring him back - Cam makes plays himself and doesn't fit the mold of the two other guys in that he doesn't need to rely on 10 other guys to carry him to a win. That is a specific style suited for ball control offenses... runs, dump downs, checkdowns, etc., and let the skill position guys make plays after the handoff or catch and eat up clock. That's what Rhule really wants. He said himself Sunday that he was completely satisfied with 7 yards per attempted pass. And judging from what we see every Sunday, it doesn't appear we design any passes where the deep route is the first read in the progression... it doesn't jibe with Rhule's idea of winning football, so we don't do it. I also think that's why Brady hasn't been fired. He's trying to do what Rhule wants, he just sucks at his job.

DJ led the league in contested catches made over 20+ yards last season with poor QB play. He also has led in numerous other statistics for receivers and 20+yard catches downfield at various points over the last few years. Robby was viewed as, and excelled as a deep threat specialist in his time in New York. If I'm not mistaken, TMJ was a pretty good deep ball guy in college. We have deep threats. What we don't have is an offensive philosophy that utilizes them or encourages and enables the QB to use them at that depth. Joe Brady sucks.

He was trending in the wrong direction well before this game. Despite being small on the outside, a lot of the damage being done in the run game is straight up the middle on Brown and Jones. Even on zones and powers, they arent affecting the run game at all. He doesn't exist in the pass game and he has been getting manhandled most of the year in the run game. I dont think its an overreaction. He looks bad.
