  1. I'm not as down on PJ as others. He'd always had the best arm on the roster since he's been here, and has also always been the most athletic QB we have as well considering his elusiveness and scrambling/playmaking ability. The only consistent issue I've seen with him is his decision making, especially in the redzone, and that is a HUGE issue, but as a result of coaching, or more like a lack of it, that has been an issue for every QB here the last two years - which is why I thought he should've been starting. So, here's to hoping he can chuck some deep bombs for TDs.
  2. Agreed. I'd have to go back and watch to be sure again, but I'm not sure I want to subject myself to it lol, but just from memory, I do not remember Sam taking any hits in the pocket, nor do I remember him reacting like he suffered an acute injury at any point. I dont remember him having to pick himself up off the ground at any point like in every other game this season. So, that would lead me to believe he suffered this fracture from the hit in Atlanta. Gross negligence adn incompetence from the staff and coaches. And this is why you don't allow a first time HC to being along all of his college buddies on the staff with zero NFL lifers to help along the way. This staff is just fuging up at every turn and the medical staff is looking at a potential lawsuit.
  3. Even more disgusting is the fact that he took this offer to the Giants and tried to get them to match it before accepting our offer because he didn't want to be here anyway.
  4. Everyone knows how I feel about Sam, but that's irrelevant here... this coaching staff is a fuging joke, and the medical staff appears to be equally incompetent. Dude was already struggling and you send him out there like that? Rhule had to have completely lost the locker room already. This was some fuging amateur poo if I've ever heard or seen any... just dumb, dumb, dumb poo. Get better soon, Sam. And thanks for the effort. Sorry you and the rest of the roster are stuck with these con men.
  5. Wait... we released Clay, too? I just saw the OL guys put on IR and waiving Freeman. Wow. Not that he was great or anything, just didn't see it.
  6. As I mentioned in my reply to mav, I wouldn't expect news of it to come from our staff... I would expect we would've heard it reported though. But, I agree, if I was Cam I wouldn't come back here with this staff.
  7. I wouldn't expect to hear it from them either, but I have no doubt it would be reported if it happened.
  8. I've thought about this as well, but in the very least I would like if the staff reached out to him and inquired, but no doubt, if I was him I wouldn't trust their slimy asses either.
  9. Yup, I think letting him go was absolutely stupid. He was the one big, powerback we had on the roster. And of course, our dumbass staff cuts him because they like Abdullah's "energy" and I'm sure his ability to play multiple positions.
  10. Or maybe our staff can just stop fuging sucking. People keep bringing Cam up because he is clearly better than both of the guys they've brought in since, even at half of what he once was. It's fine if they decided to move on from the only MVP we've ever had if they thought he was done and they had a clear plan in place to upgrade the position. Instead, they paid a guy 27 million plus for one year then traded him away to trade away a 2nd round pick for a guy that was 100x worse, is the worst starting QB in the NFL and we owe him 18 million next year on top of what we're still paying Teddy. That's why people won't shut up about Cam. Why should we? When its clear most fans know more than this fuging dumbass incompetent staff about the QB position, you're gonna keep hearing about it. If they knew more, they would've already proven us wrong and they haven't and can't because they don't. They're fuging idiots. Right the wrong and bring Cam back until they can find a young QB of the future to groom.
  11. They just picked this: Over this: fug this staff. Let me guess, Rhule met Barkley at the urinals during a break at a college leadership retreat once and was enamored with his intangibles and just knew he was destined to be a winner.
  12. Cam Newton is still unemployed and we just signed this noodle-armed Leinart redux.
  13. Didn't want to start a new thread for this tweet so I figured this is a good place to put it:
  14. Not that I want him bc we don't even know how to use the receivers we have, but ngl, part of me wants us to claim him just to see how much brighter this dumpster fire can burn. Because of we do claim him, he is gonna be pissed tf off.
  15. Still there are ways to scheme around it and if you don't scheme around it, you're accentuating that weakness. Several teams like the Chargers, Steelers, and Patriots have lines that would average out in the bottom third of the league and none of their offenses look as broken or dysfunctional as ours. Also, look at teams like the Saints and Patriots pass block win rate versus their run block win rate... sure, you could say its because they're built to better to pass block, OR maybe, just maybe, they're scheme gets the ball out quick so they rarely allow pressures. It all goes hand in hand... is our OL personnel garbage? Absolutely. Is it being exacerbated by idiotic, amateurish coaching even more so? Absolutely.
  16. I honestly am both surprised and amazed that he is still employed after yesterday... that isn't just reactive fan speak, I legitimately and objectively don't see how they did not fire him today. I fully expected it. And the longer he remains employed, the more sure I am that Rhule isn't an NFL coach either.
  17. Was just gonna say this is bullshit. Face saving move... if the shoulder was that bad, he would've had an MRI before yesterday and not played. Also, according to Darnold in his presser after the game, he was fine and wasn't limited in any way.
  18. No, they are somewhere between abysmal, completely absent, and non-existent. Below average would be an improvement.
  19. Cold hard facts. As I said in another thread, if this offense is even below average, we are either 8-1 or 9-0 right now.
  20. I opened this thread expecting to see a tweet announcing the firing of Brady and demotion of Darnold. I am disappoint.
  21. Even if we ignore the Jets years... I stated it over and over again in the preseason, the fact Rhule wouldn't play him and the 1st string offense was both a mistake and a sign that he knew they were going to struggle. That was a huge red flag. Now, if we are considering what he put on tape while with NY, it was an even bigger red flag than this preseason... he sucked. He does suck. And he always will suck. All the advanced stats affirm what is easily seen with our eyes. He can't read a defense, pressure or no pressure.
  22. Idk if its gone, so much as its hard to convince Eagles, Vikings, and Pats fans to participate en masse in the chant.
  23. Disagree. While I DO agree that owners shouldn't make impulsive or emotional-based decisions, this wouldn't qualify. We are in year two of this staff, and they have recklessly used his assets for two consecutive offseasons to secure "their guy," they convinced him of, after also talking him into dumping the incumbent former NFL MVP who also happened to be a marketable and profitable face of the franchise. This wouldn't be impulsive. Their ineptitude going on two years is progressively getting worse with each passing week... he has been more than patient if you ask me, especially with regards to the offense.
  24. I've thought about this a lot, again, as a guy who was likely his biggest advocate from early on in that season preceding his hire here... and honestly, I don't have an answer. The perception has indeed went a full 180. What I do know is that we have enough of a sample size now to indicate that he is indeed a huge part of the problem. I said last year, Teddy was the most difficult QB to watch play in the history of our franchise. Then we dump Teddy and get Darnold, and now I find myself saying that Sam is by far the absolute worst QB that has ever taken a snap as a starter for this organization... and he's even worse than a lot of guys who never started a game for this organization. What is the common denominator? Brady. Considering Teddy's lackluster performance last season, many of us were quick to dismiss his complaints about the coaching staff as sour grapes. In hindsight, it wasn't at all. It's not coincidence that Teddy is now looking as good as he does in Denver this season, but looked so confused and inept last season. Darnold was already trash before we got him, and that was always my stance on him coming into the pros... but just as great coaches make good players better, bad coaches make some players worse. Brady has definitely done the latter. Although it seemed impossible, he made Sam Darnold look worse and more inconsistent than he already was. He also made a Top 15-20 starter in Teddy look like a bottom third starter. He's gotta go. I have no doubt in my mind at this point and won't regret it one bit.
