I honestly would like to see him go to Chicago and see if a fresh start there would help him (and them).

Who are the "undercover thotpockets"?

Fogerty? Always felt weird about her relationship with JR. -

I think Dickson ended his career there too. -

Just watched the clip. CMC could've just said: -

I was looking for the clip, and couldn't find it. Not surprised... If CMC is currently viewed as the face of the franchise, I'm pretty sure he is in the know of what's going on and what we plan on doing. He's just disassociating himself from Teddy in advance. -
Can't get much dumber than that. Kirk is a Top 15 QB at his best and clearly showed who the better QB was between the two when we played them this season. But, I have absolutely no issue if they want to take Teddy off of our hands, in fact, I would love for them to.

Yup, I loved making UNC, ECU, A&T, App St., and out of respect to my hometown, Fayetteville State (lol), national powerhouses. But, EA is horrible. I'm sure they'll find a way to destroy this franchise like they have Madden while making it filled with microtransactions.

How close did the Panthers come to getting Stafford? Dang close.

Oh, me either, and I agree... throughout our history one of the biggest reasons for our inconsistency and struggles has been due to that issue. So this is both refreshing and welcome. But, I also find it interesting that we're so openly flaunting our interest in moving on at the most important position on a football team... I mean, everyone knows how I feel about the Teddy Debacle, but still... it is interesting seeing it play out as it is. -

Wonder what Teddy is thinking right now? Lol. -
Panthers offered "More than a 1st" for Stafford
Proudiddy replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well, I would absolutely never have offered the 7th pick for him, and that we did is horrifying... But, the good news we can take from this is, if we were willing to offer that for Stafford, but the Lions didn't bite, then we will definitely put out one of the best offers for Watson... and in that scenario, he decides where he wants to go, so we probably have a better chance. But again, I must reiterate, the only guy on the roster I'm offering them is CMC. No other young players, especially not DJ or Burns, period. -
The exciting thing is, regardless of Watson's end (although personally I do believe he has mutual interest in Carolina as well)... we're in the national conversation. We're clearly interested in improving and getting better and will explore every avenue to do so. This type of thing would've never happened under JR.

https://www.nfl.com/news/carolina-panthers-to-be-aggressive-in-pursuit-of-potential-deshaun-watson-trade Outside a handful of NFL teams, most clubs should at least consider making a call on Watson. With a no-trade clause, Watson holds the ultimate leverage on his potential destination. Nonetheless, it would behoove most clubs to at least gauge the temperature of a potential trade. One club that appears to be near the top of the list of suitors: The Carolina Panthers. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday on NFL NOW that the Panthers will be "aggressive" in pursuit of the 25-year-old QB. "Don't sleep on the Carolina Panthers," Rapoport said. "They are a team that I'm told is going to be aggressive in potentially acquiring Deshaun Watson."

Well, certainly they'll be less dysfunctional , but for me, it goes beyond that. Even with a new GM, there have been whispers out there about Woody Johnson for years for having a bad reputation with players/the locker room and I would feel like that has a clear effect on their on-field performance... and I'm not just saying that hoping to speak Watson to the Panthers into existence... as a player, those things would really concern me with any organization.
-
Yeah, I know thats the reason that being relayed out there, and although I could see how Saleh would be a selling point for me of I was a player (I've thought he was a great coach from afar for awhile now), all the other dysfunction in that organization, starting with the owner, would be enough to keep me away.

Was just watching some show on Fox Sports with Marcellus Wiley and Emanuel Acho the other day and they were discussing Rodgers' comments. Wiley said according to players he knows, and he hated saying it so crass, but Love "is garbage," and many of the players behind the scenes have talked about how bad he has looked in practices and questioned why they wasted a pick on him. So there's that. I'm pretty sure a lot of this hubbub is just Aaron flexing because they wasted a high pick on a guy who looks like a wash out when they could've gotten him more help.

Objectively speaking, he liked a post linking him to the Jets, and there is the report out there that that is his priority destination... I can't figure that out at all. I dont know why any player would want to do that, unless you were a diehard Jets fan growing up, or your agent was steering you there, and even then it makes no sense to me. Miami makes sense. Beautiful city/weather, up and coming team and young coach, and seems like the organization is on the right track. But then again, in both instances, if some of the reasons he wants out of Houston is political/cultural stuff, which I believe I read somewhere, Johnson and Ross don't have exactly glowing recommendations either... Now us... we have youth, a promising young HC, and a new owner who has shown a tendency to let his players be who they are, even politically. We are the professional team of his college region (that sounds weird, but you know what I mean), close to home, and again, seem to be an up and coming franchise. Atlanta, although his hometeam, is in a weird transitional state with a new coach and no established culture aside from being known for huge collapses. To me, it really should come down to us and SF, but supposedly SF is really interested in Stafford, buy I'm sure with the official request coming from Watson now, that'll shift to him.

I said when it was announced we were doing the Senior Bowl that I wanted to draft Newman regardless, and that still stands. I dont care who we get this offseason, vet or no vet (I still want Watson), but I definitely want to draft Newman. I'm not as locked in on college football as some, but I watch quite a bit and feel like I know talent when I see it, and I saw Newman a few times at Wake Forest and was legit amazed, and surprised he wasn't talked about more. Then I kind of lost track of him and then looked him up last year and saw he transferred to Georgia and sat out, so that all seemed kind of weird, but dude is legit. I think he could be Dak or Russ all over again.

I love Gil Brandt, but not this take. No way I even offer #8 for him, if we make an offer.
