  1. Bring in Chanel, resign Rozeboom, and draft a LB in the mid to later rounds of the draft and let them battle it out with Wallace and Cherelus for the 2nd LB spot beside Chanel. Part of our problem last year was we had absolutely no depth to challenge our below average starters. Create some real competition in the LB room and let the best players play.

No more Byron Bells and Nate Chandlers.

I hate to be this way, but that might be what we are doing this season. I sure hope not.

I'm ok with Yosh as a swing tackle and spot starter but I really hope we don't plan on going into next year with him as our starting LT.

I like Ickey and I'm sure the organization does to, but we have to be honest with ourselves a patellar tendon tear is a significant injury and will absolutely affect Ickey's long term outlook. Thers's a good chance he's never the same player.

You either have to overpay for a mid LT in free agency like a Rasheed Walker or spend a premium pick on one this upcoming draft. I'd prefer us to pick an OT in the draft for the cheaper contract and give us the ability to slide them over to RT if Ickey is able to come back and we will need a replacement for Moton in the coming years.

  3. I like the approach Morgan takes in free agency where we fill holes with at least serviceable players and use the draft for BPA. So, I expect us to bring in a Safety, 1 really good LB and 1 kinda so so vet LB in case they lose faith in Wallace, an edge rusher, and with ickey's injury I think we will be the team that overpays for a LT like Rasheed Walker with the plan to move him to RT depending on Ickey's health and how long Moton wants to play.

  4. I expect the same strategy as we did last year. 3 year deals for guys around 25 to 28 years old and have the cap number be lower in 2026 and back load the contracts for 2027 and 2028 when our cap space is 100 million in 2027 and 360 million in 2028. With the years of terrible drafting this team had under Rhule and Fitterer and the lack of picks from all the panic QB trades has made it where we have few long-term contract commitments on the roster.

I'm sure there's probably some restructures and cuts we can make to give ourselves some more room this year if we need it but overall, our cap situation is in a good spot under Dan and Brandt.

I think we'll be pretty big spenders again this year. With us making the playoffs and being in a weak division I see Morgan being pretty aggressive this offseason.

  5. The real gem in this year's coaching cycle is Brian Flores. If we moved off of Canales (which is highly unlikely) that would be who I would go after. It's been shown plenty of times that in this age of the NFL your HC needs to be an elite play caller. Whether that be offense or defense they have to be able to keep continuity on one side of the ball.

If you have an old school CEO type of HC you run the risk of your coordinators getting poached every offseason and seeing your team decline as it's tuff to fine good coordinators who will stick around.

Ask Lions fans if they would rather have Ben Johnson or Dan Campbell

Ask Tampa fans if they would rather have Liam Cohen/Dave Canales or Todd Bowles

Ask Raven fans if they would rather have Mike McDonald or John Harbaugh

  6. Our defense had Purdy throwing picks and almost picks the entire game give me the 49ers. If we didn't lose Jaycee Horn at half time he would've got another 1.

The Rams on the other hand our defense couldn't stop them except for forcing a couple of turnovers.

  7. We are absolutely picking up his 5th year option. This is the same team that picked up Sam Darnold's 5th year option without him playing a snap for this franchise.

If you think they wouldn't do the same for a QB they traded a haul up to number 1 overall to take and who has a chance to lead us to a playoff game in year 3 then I don't know what to tell you.

Despite the protest of many people here there is no way we get a clean break from Bryce to another QB. We will either cut/trade him next offseason and have to eat the 5th year dead cap or we extent him and have to eat whatever the dead cap is from that extension. There is always the chance that he figures things out and is able to become a top 10 QB but at the end of year 3 it looks increasingly unlikely. He's a physically limited game manager with a clutch gene.

  8. Did Bryce play bad? Yes.

Did the whole offense play bad? Yes.

Was Canales bad with his playcalling? Yes.

Now with that being said I don't put this loss solely on Bryce Young. The seahawks are a much more talented team than us and to win in a scenario like that you need some luck which we didn't have that day.

Bryce has shown this year that you can win with him at QB but the problem is that he doesn't have the ability to elevate the rest of the team around him. Bryce was a number 1 overall pick who we traded a haul of assets to get going into the end of his 3rd year the expectations need to be much higher than 54 yards passing.

It's been nice to get some wins this year and have a chance to make the playoffs and Bryce has played a part in that but at some point the front office needs to see that you can't keep giving Bryce a pass for these low production games.

  9. If we make the playoffs I want another shot versus the 49ers at home. Our defense had Purdy figured out and if we stick with the run next time we'd have a good chance to win or at the very least not embarrass ourselves. I wanna see Moehrig and the rest of the defense get their get back against Juan Jennings.

I know for sure though that the 1 team I don't wanna play against in the wild card is the Rams. I know we beat them, but it took a lot of luck and mistakes on their part, and I don't think we'd get that lucky again.

Injuries and/or  age..that oline and backups need to be reworked and annalo star crnter would help

yosh at left tackle..lord help the panthers. I remember his being LT earlier in the season

To be fair to Yosh the Jags edge rushes are a lot better than Tampa's. Yosh looked decent when he had to come in at RT for Moton so hopefully, he can be decent today. Ickey looked bad last week and I'm sure the injury was affecting him more than he let on.

Oh honey, this won't be a game of inches.

Mayfield hates us - this is a revenge game for him and Evans is back.

I wanna win this game in a blow out to shut Baker up. Dude asked for his release after he played so poorly Wilks decided to have PJ Walker be the backup. He should be thankful we let him go to the Rams and allowed McVay to revive his career.
