We're about to make a Sean Gilbert trade for the new generation.
-
Dude if the Panthers are kicking ass I will be loving it. I would love to be completely wrong about Rhule.
-
That has nothing to do with anything I posted, but I'll bite. There is no QB that would have solved all of our problems. There will never be a single player that solves all the problems on a team by himself. But the answer certainly wasn't to trade away Teddy so that we could trade away draft choices and commit significant money to Sam Darnold for 2022. Signing Teddy was a mistake too, but at that point it would have been best to just roll with him. But if we had to move on from Teddy, the answer was literally any other veteran FA or cheap trade target. (5th or worse round pick) Rhule and Co have gone in big two seasons in a row on QBs they shouldn't have. (63M for Bridgewater and picks plus 5th year for Sam). Going all in on Watson is not outside of the realm of possibility for them IMO. Especially considering this is likely a make or break year for Rhule. Edit: And on Horn, yes he looked impressive. But if Darnold was the one who got hurt in that game against Houston, do you think that changes how we view Darnold now? Just something to think about.

So what? They are ineffective at an NFL level. All that takes is observation of their performance relative to their peers. We don't need to be one of their peers to observe the results of that. Sam Darnold is a better QB than anyone on this board, but he is a bottom of the barrel tier QB at the NFL level. We don't have to be NFL QBs to evaluate that. I get being optimistic, but I'm past the point of no return with this administration. It just tickles me to deny any rumors that we've offered packages for Watson, because our front office is too smart for that.

There's a lot more evidence to suggest they have no idea what they are doing. There is very little to point to that says "these guys know what they are doing". That is reality. Sorry. I hate it too, but I'm done denying it.

Carroll is just simply overrated. He would have been fired years ago if Russell Wilson wasn't drafted by the Seahawks. They were ready to hand the keys to the franchise to Matt Flynn in 2012.

I don't know who's dumber. Us for making that deal, or the Texans for not accepting it.
-
Thanks for sharing, but this is unfathomably stupid. I don't know what to think if this goes through.

I wouldn't count on that 2023 Broncos 1st being super high, barring a Wilson injury.

Watson could be a good organizational fit for Washington. Seems to be a good place to work if you're a sex offender.
-
I'm guessing he will retire soon. Maybe after this season.
-
You'd be hard pressed to find a trade that did help the team. In on every deal.
-
Well, give it 7 years and we might see it change overnight.
-
Seattle is really gunning for a top draft choice next year.
-
You could replace Washington with us in that paragraph and it would line up perfectly. Wow.
-
You're missing the point. Cam was obviously a one of a kind player that was HOF caliber at his peak. The career numbers don't lie for Russ though. He is a shoe-in if you think Cam is guaranteed. Period.
-
Here's to Ron outbidding us I guess.
-
If you're saying Cam's in and Russ isn't, then your opinion makes 0 logical sense. Sorry.
-
Disagree. He's for sure a hall of famer.
-
Especially not a future hall of famer who's in his 30s.
-
I'm taking DJ. I've been pretty outspoken that I do not believe he is an elite #1 option. But he's a good WR, and I'd rather overpay for that than a pass rusher thats a liability.

So between Aaron's extension and Davante being franchised, is that like 30% of the cap to 2 guys?
