That would explain the no throws at the combine. That was a bigger red flag than the vanilla pro day. He didn't want to get his velocity clocked at 50mph when the others were throwing 60

everything was a red flag and a bulk of posters on here were screaming it at the time but lo and behold bryce has good manners at a steakhouse

I posted it in the lead up to the draft on one of the threads. It’s one of the main reasons along with his arm and size that had him as my 3rd qb in the draft.

Fwiw as well saban said young had some mental health counseling

Why not sign this guy as third stringer and let him develop.

Still not sure why we just didnt run it back with him for the 2023 season to see what we had.  I mean damn you already invested draft picks in him might as well let him play

Very fair assessment imo. He threw with anticipation quite often and delivered some strikes but his mechanics and footwork made his already small frame a bigger issue in terms of throwing with power.

Also, seeing these breakdowns makes me realize why we moved on from Bozeman so quickly. Dude could not pass block.

Fair, sure.  Still not worthy of the #1 pick and still has major issues.  And you absolutely have to be concerned that for bryce to make a nfl caliber throw the conditions have to be optimal around him.  And those sacks around the 10 minute mark are just brutal to watch.

I think people are underestimating the talent we've gotten in our team now. Not saying we're great, but I think we're going to be a lot better than people think.

We're not that far away from being a solid playoff team.

Mock, poo, and/or disagree all you want, buy I don't think we're as bad now as we were last year. I think the coaching situation was the thing that sunk us. Not having such a clusterfug of a coaching situation cost us 5-6 games.

everyone has their opinion for sure but I strongly disagree with this for so many reasons, we are not a talented team at all and if we are looking down the road to next year and beyond it gets even uglier considering this is shaq, dj, theilen, probably moton last year.

we have absolutely no depth anywhere on the roster and cobble that with a qb going into the season playing for his job its a dismal state of affairs

Every Superbowl winning team enjoys luck of the bounce more than once on their journey in that season to not only get them to the playoffs, but also to the superbowl.

Who knows what would have happened in 03 if Kasey didn't choke on the kick off

Every QB needs an offense built around him.

There isn't a single QB in the league that doesn't have an offense built around them.

That's how you make the most out of any and every QB,  is build a team around him.

2015.  The offense was "heres the ball cam , good luck"

yeah, the only thing Bryce proved to me last season was his resiliency and durability.

being durable is more about luck IMO then anything, he was tough as nails for sure but he cannot (and no qb in the nfl) can keep taking those amount of shots and not pay a price for it somewhere down the line

Maalik Murphy will be eligible, big QB with big upside but I’m assuming he stays in school unless he has a great season.

Riley Leonard has a lot of upside as well and I expect him to look a lot better at Notre Dame.

I’m also curious to see Connor Weigman at Texas A&M. He put up some solid numbers in limited games.

Leonard should be fun to watch this year.  He elevated Duke when healthy, is really athletic and unreal ball placement.

    George Seifert: 16-32

    Matt Rhule: 11-27

    Steve Wilks: 6-6

    Chris Tabor: 1-5

    Frank Reich: 1-10

    Perry Fewell: 0-4

    Dave Canales: ?

We will see in a few years where Canales lands on this list. Facts are he could be a horrible coach and still manage into our Top 5.

I wonder why its so hard hiring a competent nfl coach?  Thats a lot of ugly on that list.   poo I was totally against it at the time and I have no problem admitting I was wrong, but damn should have just kept wilks and see what that looked like

I don't know what's up with the title must have been looking for clicks.

Early in the video some of what he's saying is in line with what we've seen. But he veers off into sheer fantasy territory when he starts talking about Bryce Young's downfield deep balls at Alabama. He had the worst deep ball by far between him Mac Jones Hurts and Tua. People want to talk Bryce Young but say these things and can't figure out why they are dismissed. People need to learn to discern what they hope for versus what's actually happened. Bryce Young has simply never been a consistently good deep passer at either level to this point. Even at his hyped pro day his deep ball was described as underwhelming at best. For a first overall pick!? It's always been there for anyone to see. Unless that changes he will not be a franchise QB in this league for any team regardless of the circumstances. That's what Canales has to get out of him.

God bless you for devoting any time to that moron

Im as down on the team as the next guy right now, but who isnt a injury or two from changing their complete outcome for the season?

I know the difference in ours could be 5 wins to 2 wins, but it could be much more devastating for a contending team to have a serious injury to their star players.

If we have pass rushers go down we will just have to be a blitz heavy team, we are probably going to suck this season anyway so not like it really matters.

Our lack of depth is what I am referring to.  Any team can get hit with the injury bug but defense isnt talented as it is and we have an older pass rush and older linebackers with absolutely no depth whatsoever at those spots.  And thats not even addressing what happens if horn goes down again.  Whose the #1 corner if that happens?
