beck has a hose but not really sure he's the guy. gonna need a huge year this year.
He had some incredible games last year for sure and his throwing style and mechanics resemble Stroud but I just need to see him do it again. One year sample size isn't enough

Cam reached I'd say an 80% approval rate in 2015, but it was back to being in the 50's following the SB. "We will never win anything with Cam as our QB" was a strong narrative on here after the SB.

video also says QB Bryce was horrible pre snap and post snap. That's how you make whatever your OL is......look way worse.
He also spoke about how Bryce's size forces him too far back in the pocket. Which is going to screw up pass pro.
that video/analysis did bryce and his supporters no favors, but anyone with a brain can see his bunny rabbit hops and long slow drop backs are a huge issue

Go back and read. I said I'm not completely writing him off. But yeah, at this point I'd honestly be borderline shocked if he works out.
You're the one who acted like a condescending douche while failing at reading comprehension. Don't get butthurt about it. Ice up son.
bryce up son
and our franchise got duped by a kid that never took snaps from under center in college, how the fug does that happen?

Some of the huddlers here will only be happy with Patrick Mahomes as our QB. They would legit complain if we had Josh Allen and pine for an upgrade. They won't admit it but they know who they are
Listen, we've been a franchise for almost 30 years, and not once did most Panther fans like the quarterback we have. Cam reached I'd say an 80% approval rate in 2015, but it was back to being in the 50's following the SB. "We will never win anything with Cam as our QB" was a strong narrative on here after the SB.
stats and logical fallacies are fun to make up

It dawned on me this morning.... that we have a fan base that can't make up it's mind whether they want to be winners or lovers.
Y'all say ya want to be winners, but ya don't act like it.
Beening a fan since before the first game every played by the Panther, I know this fan base lobes us being then underdog. "We play better as the underdog." Which in of itself is a loser mentality. No competitor ever wants to constantly be considered the underdog. Just ask Steve Smith.
This season, this team is literally the ultimate underdog. Let by a QB that fits the underdog role PERFECTLY.
This fan base should be going hog wild about being an underdog in EVERY GAME we're scheduled to play this season.
Yet, they have already labeled this seasonnas another lost season. Which it.may end up being, but who the fug really wants that? Seriously???
I personally, want to see our team thrive. I want them to take it to the NFL. I want to see these guys, Bryce included, to step up and show the NFL that not only do they belong, but they're bringing the fight to the other teams.
Enough of this lover mentality.
Enough with crying over not having the QB we all wish we had (whomever that may be).
Wow you know are losing an argument when you post something like this

Big fan of this guys content, been watching for years.
Eats his crow about how he was wrong about his high opinion of the team last year.
Solid breakdown and goes in depth everywhere. Very complimentary of what we have done this offseason.
Also there's this bit about the QB position at around 43:30:
He goes on to talk about the guard play was the worst in the league, the play design sucked, the play calling sucked, the WRs couldn't separate, there was no run game, and on top of it all there was a ton of bad luck that made things go from bad to worse whether it be bad spots from refs, fumbles on successful looking drives, big plays being called back, and unfortunate and untimely drops.
Everything that could go wrong last season, did go wrong.
That's why I'm not completely writing Bryce off yet, even though many already have. See what he does with even competent level supporting cast and coaching. Here's to hoping Canales and co can provide at least that much.
he also points out that the tippy toes thing hurts his accuracy and the long slow drop back due to his size doesnt do the tackles any favors.
All in all its a mess.

Right now, no one can know how Bryce will perform this year. There's nothing we can take from last year's work that wasn't tainted by bad coaching and bad players all around him.

Brett Farve was once deemed an impossible project too. I know... he had the size and strength, but if all you're going to fall back on is his size, then this is all a waste of time anyways.

I know everyone wants to be done with this experiment now. Hence why so many have dug in so deep to defend their perspectives.
Even at hyberbole this is simply not true. No rational fan/poster wants young gone now. Even I, his most critical poster, says he should get another year to show something with the new additions. However, I think we all know how this movie ends based on the 16 game sample size we saw last year. Everything has to be perfect for him to excel and brother that is next to impossible to have that consistently in the nfl. His physical size will forever deter him as long as he is qb for numerous reasons that have been laid out in the past 28 pages. How the fug could a nfl front office go through that process and still think a 5'10 180 lb qb that didnt take snaps under center was worth what we gave up for him?

Yep not sure why we didn’t trade a 6th for him seeing it looks like Bryce is not going to work out
I said it before but if it was me I would have kept fields one more year and traded out of the 1 spot. They could have gotten another kings ransom and if he sucks they could make a move. Fields isnt that bad but just needs better coaching and a better offense

I think the team knows this already. That's why everything will not be perfect and positions will have to wait another offseason to be addressed. The roster you see now will not be the same roster that takes the field week one.
I bet its 85% the same, maybe a new corner, maybe another edge but this is it

Fair enough. I guess we'll just have to hope Clowney reproduces his stats from last year, however likely that is.
his sack totals look to be way up and down, I guess I would take 9 and be happy but even then..........

In 4 reason games Cam threw for 300 yards, 1 TD, 0 int and 43% completion percentage. He played substantial snaps in 2 games and he sucked in one and did good in the other.
did he have any rushing stats?

Idk, I saw him get taken out by TEs and overrun the QB without touching him enough to question if he's deserving of being called an elite pass rusher.
Your point is correct, but as we stand here today he would still be the best end on our roster. So to me losing what we did, and not really having a good d last year, would indicate for now that the defense probably will struggle. And if we get hit by the injury bug again it may be the benny hill show on the field

Which is an outlier because preseason usually dictates the regular season? Right?
In how a player plays or the entire team? Because last year was pretty spot on.
Cams preseason games were brutal if I remember correctly. But without me looking, and I dont think there are stats for preseason games that far back, cam didnt run much in those games. Come regular season his mobility opened things up

So now we're upset about losing ygm and Burns? lol.
collectively sure
Burns was a good pass rusher, liability against the run. Ive never wavered off of that. He should have been traded to the rams and nobody is denying that now

Honestly LB, and maybe S are the only positions I can think of where we've downgraded from last season.
Im pretty meh on the safeties, they did fine last year, wish we had more turnovers but whatever. The linebacking group is lol funny. Shaq was on the decline and that was before a broken leg. DJ and jewell are just average nfl linebackers. Pretty straight forward. And past that is a no mans land. No depth whatsoever.
If this is a top 15 defense EE is going to name his price for another team

Starting the season the wr room is better, te is probably worse without hurst, rb is even and dline/pass rush is worse.
That could change as players get healthy and reps but not right now
