McCarthy is 100% gone which is brutal for us. Another team to compete with.
We were never getting the 'best' candidate.
The roster is a mess. We have no QB. Our owner fired a guy after half a season. This is not an attractive destination for people with options i.e. Harbaugh.
It's going to be about fit, which is why they should definitely hire the GM first and let him decide who his HC is, then get out of the way for 3 years and let them work.
-
Our new GM should try and trade Young to the Cowboys - they clearly need a QB that can score against the Packers.

All I know is Tua is a mental midget and I would be buyer beware to hand him a $50million a year contract
I don't think he's a mental midget, but he is very limited physically.
It'll be the death knell of that offence if they sign him up to a $50m a year contract.

Tua and Hurst aren’t flops. That’s just a silly statement
I've said for a while that the Dolphins are held back by Tua.
He simply doesn't have the arm strength you need in the modern NFL.

The story on Bryce is not written.
Am thrilled for Stroud and the Texans.
I don't hold anything against the Panther decision making. They picked their guy. They believe in him. I certainly haven't given up on Bryce.
I know most will always compare the 2. I have no desire to.
Our teams problems this last season were much bigger than just our rookie QB.
Define 'they', cos we've just sacked our HC and GM.
Do you mean Dave and Nicole?
-
Cristobal flipped a QB from the NFL. Impressive stuff.
-
Is Tua still on his rookie contract? They're going to want to move off him, surely.

Imagine having an opportunity to end Mahomes' night and playing two-hand touch instead.

Way too easy for the chiefs
You see this all the time with the Miami Hurricanes - the Dolphins won't be up for this weather.

Im allready tired of hearing about Taylor Swift like seriously…
I'd bang her for the money and to be immortalised in a song, but I just don't see the attraction.

Naw, I seriously doubt that. Time will tell but the days of quick fixes have to be done. 1 good decision at a time and patience is the way now. Hole is too deep
I'm just asking them to stop the bleeding.

What do you mean "if?"
We would have won a reasonable amount of games this year with competent QB play.

There is no reason to do anything but go with Bryce next season. If he doesn’t improve we will be almost certainly up to bat again in the 2025 draft looking for a QB. Not all hope is lost by any means
You will lose the fan base if you pick in the Top 5 again. It's clearly already on the precipice.

Lots of people have given up on him but he can turn this around. He wasn’t the consensus #1 pick for no reason. We aren’t ruined by any means. We need to hire the right GM and coach and build 1 player at a time. Will take a while though
We need to move off the pick in the offseason.
Bring in a FA QB and look to start the rebuild in the Draft.

Do you think that any NFL DB can outrun any NFL QBs arm?
Here's your problem.

Flacco done Flacco’d the Browns out of the playoffs.
Yeah, handed them 14 points with two horrific throws.

Right. They hit on the playcaller/play designer. That changes absolutely everything. Everything. I really don't want to get into a Stroud vs Young debate. It's futile. The situations are too different to make definitive statements either way. The Panthers season is over. Time to move on to next season for them and the playoffs for the NFL.
But... if you can't see the difference in playcalling, protection, receiver separation and YAC, then you're not trying. Even casual fans can see that.
Our QB allows DBs to cheat on anything within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage (and that doesn't include 15 yard out routes - they're off the table).
When you don't have to respect getting beat deep of course separation is going to be hard to come by - these are elite athletes / players playing with a cheat sheet.

Man its depressing seeing Stroud ball out in playoffs ngl. What might have been smh
It's depressing watching pretty much every other single team play football.
Flacco has come off the coach and has led his team to the Playoffs ffs.

With regards to the HC search - I'm all about handing the reigns to Evero (Harbaugh will want to work with a QB) and hiring someone from the Shanahan coaching tree as the OC. That's clearly the hot / unstoppable offensive scheme right now.

Bryce was already showing signs of David Carr Battered QB Syndrome. Not sure I have ever seen a rookie QB recover from that.
I do think had he landed in the right spot he might have been a mid-level NFL starter. I don’t think he will anymore. I am pushing all in on complete bust.
I'm not sure he'd have succeeded if he landed in San Francisco. He has so little arm talent - teams don't have to seriously defend half the field.

See, right there - that second down play is a sack for Young. He turns his back and gives up on that play. Stroud finds his man for a short gain.

I'm waiting for the day when the NFL figures out how to stop the Shanahan offence.
