  1. I've seen him try to outrun an NFL DE. It's like watching a lion take down a gazelle - it's brutal.
  2. What other options does he has? He doesn't have a long list of suitors. The other NFC South GMs are dying for us to sign him to a big extension.
  3. They brought in two expensive OGs because they wanted to give him the Brees treatment - make sure the iOL is so strong that the pocket never collapses on him, because it's a bloodbath if he has to move from his spot.
  4. We traded the farm for the #1 overall pick. The #1 overall pick is meant to elevate the players around him, not complain that the situation isn't perfect. The reason he had no D the 2nd year is because Morgan stripped that side of the ball bare to prop up Young.
  5. Essentially we're either paying a replacement level player a shitload of money next year and encasing our feet in concrete before jumping in the river, or we're handing the reigns over to a rookie. The rest of the roster building has been really impressive, but the QB room is a mess.
  6. The Bryce Young answers terrify me.
  7. Ask yourself why a 6th year Senior wasn't asked to pass too much...
  8. I am curious who's behind all of this though. A video and photos from years ago surfacing? Someone has a vendetta and is driving this PR campaign. I'm loving it, but I'd also like to know who said mystery figure is.
  9. I hope Freeling is a stud, but he's a roll of the dice. He's far from the finished product. Our OLine coach was giving him pointers at his Pro Day - he knows how much work Monroe has to put in. From a size / weight / agility standpoint he's the prototype LT. He needs to clean up his technique as he's winning on athleticism a lot at the moment, which won't fly in the NFL.
  10. Genuinely, if they lined up at the Rookie Mini Camp tomorrow, Bain would run through Freeling. The hope is that in 2 years time he's developed his technique enough (Freeling) that he'll be able to effectively block Bain.
  11. Ah so you're a *****. Fair enough, best put you on ignore then.
  12. He had 5 sacks in the Playoffs, against the best teams in the nation. I mean, I don't know what to tell you if you can't see that.
  13. There you go, the Rams. Nobody else was taking Ty Simpson in the first round.
  14. He fell to 15. We picked at 19. It became doable and I think we'll regret sitting on our hands.
  15. I wouldn't even bet on us winning the NFC South. All four teams had excellent Drafts.
  16. Did you read the article? It's all about trading and navigating the Draft...
  17. Lee Hunter dropped weight for the Senior Bowl and Combine and it benefitted him greatly - he was far too top heavy in College. He was playing NT (and overweight - like Scourton during his last year at Texas A&M) for the benefit of the team. I don't think he's naturally big enough to play as a 3-4 NT like Cam Jackson who actually carries that weight well. I think he's a 3-4 DE in a similar mode (although not as powerful) to Derrick Brown.
  18. Rueben Bain - the guy that's going to wreck our OLine for the next 5+ years.
  19. I assume Al Wallace lives in the Carolinas somewhere and has a good deal of his income tied to a media job with the Panthers?
  20. I do feel like I'm living in an alternate reality. Everything Scott said there is bonkers - they're happy not outscoring teams (his actual words), they're happy with 185 yards a game and playing ball control, Young has more value here than on any other team in the NFL. That's a man with job security who's sipping the Panthers Kool Aid. The other NFC South GMs are dying for Morgan to extend Young. That tells you everything - he's holds this offence back and is such a replacement level player. I get they're embarrassed that they traded the world (and crippled the franchise) for him a few years ago, but they simply have to move on.
