at the time, there was a lot of chatter of Dan being a Tepper yes-guy pick to followup when Fitterer left

Dan seems to have proved otherwise, much to the fanbase' happiness

The chatter, rightly, was that we were promoting from within a losing regime and perhaps we needed a clean sweep.

Lol man. You are a bit premature here. First, have we ever really had a great front office? Second, all we know so far is a pretty poor 2024 draft base on the results and a 5 win season. I don’t care about the close wins. Rhule almost beat both the #1 playoff seeds in his first year and had us talking playoff seeds after week 4 in his second year.

I like Dan’s second draft way better but how about we get a winning season before we crown Dan as some amazing GM? We did see a lot of Fitterer in the 2024 draft and his being the right hand man for maybe the worst GM in history was why many of us wanted a fresh start. Dan’s Miami and Panther career means nothing if the team doesn’t improve and become a playoff team.

Also, take a bit of a chill pill. No one is actively rooting against him now. He’s the GM now so we want to see him have the best drafts in NFL history and win 3 SBs in a row. Doesn’t matter anymore if we didn’t want Scott Jr. as the GM. Just can’t crown a guy after 5-12 yet. Lots of people who thought Fitterer was good too.

You're as quick to judge Morgan as others are.

You can't condemn the 2024 Draft class after their rookie season. Nor can you blame Morgan for the 5 win season - we were completely talent deprived when he arrived.

We have to judge Morgan (and the Draft picks) after 3 seasons.

I think he's answered it partially. After his benching, he showed he CAN BE the guy. The only way to know if he truly is is to see how he starts the season. If he builds off the end of the season last year, we got our guy. Any inconsistency, any regression that is more than an "off game", we have to be prepared to cut ties and move on. It's a cutthroat league for QBs right now. Guys have played better and ended up a backup on a new team the next season.

He is nowhere near earning that 5th year of his deal.

His play has to improve A LOT for us to even consider it.

Now this is where some of you need to give Tepper his due. His money is why we can give these types of guarantees to USDA with, such seemingly, disregard.

Only the top 51 roster spots count toward the cap for a given year, so any money thrown toward UDFAs is 100% a lure to get them here.

It is absolutely a competitive advantage his billions bring this team.

    This is chicken feed.

Every owner bar (seemingly) the Bengals could do this if they wanted to.

She must give immaculate head and has the patience of a snake.  That woman is just here for the money when Bill wife’s her up.  Why can’t media just say it vs pussy footing around it to check a box.

By the looks of it she's already got millions of dollars out of him.

He just didn't fit with what we were attempting to do at the position. TBQH, he was an average to below average guy. Hence why Baltimore moved on.

Sucks it didn't work out but we have been searching for The Guy since Kalil retired.

    Gross Search 2.0

Good OL are so hard to find these days.

yeah, this draft is going to suck.  Morgan and his folks are going to overprioritize defense.  Reach for their dudes early.

I wouldn't be shocked if there first 5 rounds are 4 defensive players and a running back that doesn't actually make sense (hate their top 30 fixation there and who they looked at)  or some poo like that.

Going into this draft, it's almost like we forgot we got the 30th ranked passing game in the NFL.   And our featured player, contemplated retirement, wasn't healthy and is going to be worse.

So you're saying draft QB at #8?

    I'm down.

It's a great year to be a smart team. With all the perennially dumb teams sitting in the top 10 wanting to trade down there will probably be a perennially smart team identify a guy who may not stand out from the pack from a pure talent perspective but who does stand out from the pack in terms of fitting what they're looking for at that position of need and they'll jump up the draft board at a bargain to get him.

It's always a great year to be a smart team - that's why they keep winning and we keep floundering in the basement of the NFL.

Hurney is undeniably the Panthers GOAT GM.

Drafted Cam, Luke, Pep, TD etc and traded a damn third rounder via fax for 3rd Leg Greg.  Legend!

And that's why we've got a losing record as a franchise.

We certainly botched the handling of Brooks’s rehab and/or his return to play decision.

I’m still not giving up on Brooks becoming an important contributor to our team. Unfortunately, I don’t think that happens until 2026.

How did we botch it? He was handled with kid gloves.

That said, we should cut him now. He'll be a non-contributor for 2 years. No use for him on the roster.

I think it's lucking out on the QB's personally. First the Texans went from trash to playoffs 2 years in a row and now Commanders... It's not about a 7 year rebuild to even achieve a winning record, It's more about the teams actually playing hard if they think their qb is worth a poo and then staying healthy, and then once you get to the Chiefs, having the refs on your side lol.

Who is Alex Bryant and does he know what our roster looked like at the  start of this year?

Because the results have been bad. But I'm with you here, to be honest I think he's done pretty well with the personnel he's been givin. When he has studs, and a healthy roster he usually puts together a good defense. And also, I think sticking with some continuity is huge for us. We have had enough changes, let it ride and work through the growth before canning people

You see it on the field - players are put in positions to make plays and they're simply not talented enough to do it.

The London TD over the middle - there's two Safeties there doing nothing. The Robinson TD run to tie it up at the end of the game - there's three Panthers there that let him outrun them all to the edge.
